too much lemon drizzle cake and a Cornetto

Macgran43 Fri 26-Aug-22 15:41:36

Plum crumble and ice cream. The plums on the tree are all ripe and ready. I’ve given bags away. A lovely legacy from my late husband who was a keen gardener. More plum crumble tomorrow for me.

a fishfinger sandwich then a chocolate chip muffin

Auntieflo

*Missdeke*, have you tried a cheese and golden syrup sandwich?
Our DS2 used to love it and converted our SIL.

Ooh, sounds interesting, will have to give that one a try. Thanks for the suggestion. grin

I cook toasties at 200°C for 4 minutes each side. Makes them perfectly for me. I suppose all air fryers will have differences. Ours is a Ninja Foodi Max.

A small handful of almonds, as I have been sanding, filling sanding and painting all day.

kittylester Fri 26-Aug-22 16:12:37

2 lamb samosas with mango chutney. I now have awful heartburn.

I love lardy cake. Sadly (or very fortunately!) I have never found a gf one. I used to buy them in Sainsbury's years ago. They were round - like a cake.

Apple, celery and walnut slaw. Got carried away with the yellow stickers in M&S!

Gracefulgrey Fri 26-Aug-22 16:24:01

A big bag of salted popcorn all by myself. It was delicious.

Snowy4 Fri 26-Aug-22 16:26:10

Rum and Raisin chocolate...coffee to wash it down. Delicious ???

Slice of Colin the Caterpillar cake celebration cake.

Applegran Fri 26-Aug-22 17:29:01

I never eat breakfast - and ate out for lunch. Salad and frittata first course - then ice cream! Yum!

albertina Fri 26-Aug-22 17:46:52

Too many bits of a Terry's chocolate orange bought to enter their competition.

Nicolenet Fri 26-Aug-22 17:56:37

Lovely coffee sundae in town. Was so nice!

LizH13 Fri 26-Aug-22 18:38:13

I’m originally from Derbyshire, my grandma was a great baker and made lardy cake but they were nothing like the ones talked of here. They were much more like what I now know as Chorley cakes, round and flat with fruit in and eaten buttered.

Home made blackberry and apple pie and custard. Apples donated by neighbour and blackberries foraged..Yum !

Kryptonite Fri 26-Aug-22 19:46:10

A lovely chicken salad prepared by my husband. ?

HazelGreen Fri 26-Aug-22 20:10:10

Eton mess = fresh Autumn raspberries from garden with sprinkle of crushed meringue topped with some icecream and greek yogurt.... yum

Poached egg on half a slice of buttered toast, marmalade on the other half, plus a plum and a nectarine.

henetha Sat 27-Aug-22 10:36:26

Another sourdough crumpet. Only one more left in the pack now. I don't really like them, so smother them in marmalade.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Aug-22 10:38:07

I was thinking that, actually.
I prefer the ordinary ones, by far.

Caleo Sat 27-Aug-22 10:38:28

Large egg lightly fried in olive oil and all tipped on to a sclice of of deeded toast.

henetha Sat 27-Aug-22 10:40:03

Me too, MissAdventure. I shall stick to ordinary ones, probably Warburtons, from now on. smile

SachaMac Sat 27-Aug-22 10:40:32

Seriously nutty muesli, Greek yoghurt & sliced of banana, washed down with a cup of English Breakfast tea.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Aug-22 10:42:08

Warburtons are the best, much as like a bargain.

I havent tried sourdough bread; the crumpets put me off.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Aug-22 10:44:24

Bah!
I'm missing words out, today.
