Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. I don't think the forecast overnight thunderstorms happened but the sky is darkening now and we may get some much needed rain today. It feels cooler which is great as I haven't stopped sweating for ages.
I'll save the washing for tomorrow and get on with the ironing and other housework this morning.
DH and DS will be home this afternoon with their laundry and want feeding. Pasta bake with all the bits and pieces from the fridge is on the menu.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from an overcast NE, it looks as if it may have rained overnight but I did not hear anything.
Busy day yesterday, had to collect prep from endoscopy unit and collect prescription from the pharmacy. Bought some olive bread and truffle brie for lunch and had them with salad.
I was expecting a delivery between 2 and 3pm and it arrived promptly.
I thought I would buy some premium bonds online, I do it for GD every birthday, what a fiasco. I could nor get into my account and had to spend the rest of the afternoon on the phone listening to an automated voice telling me how busy they were. Did eventually get sorted but meant it was very late when SIL and I went to do the Sainsbury shop. Bought some wine as the 25% reduction was still on.
We had wild garlic chicken Kyiv with new potatoes, carrots and
courgette Provencal for dinner with a nice glass of red.
We retired to the sofa with a cafetiere of decent coffee and some macarons and watched a film on Netflix.
DD is travelling to the UK today and should be in the NE by 2pm, it is her DH's birthday on Monday and she will get to spend time with him.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a heavy skied E Kent. It is supposed to be raining ?. Ha!
Hope you and olddudders got the ferry and are about to enjoy your full English, Ash. Bon voyage.
Very hot last night after a day topping 30C. I find it too much and am grumpy all the time.
Had quite an enjoyable day with my WI friends - as it’s a federation group, the attendees are from lots of different parts of E Kent. We are making a padded needle case - practice for box making. I’ve done it before and, although fun, I really, really don’t need more stuff. I’m of the school “if it’s unnecessary and just adds to clutter, forget it”. I don’t need another picture, table runner or cushion, thank you. But I do enjoy the company of the ladies.
I’ll visit my nursing home friend today. She’s declined so much that I won stay more than 30 minutes. I think she enjoys my visits but as she spends the whole time whinging about one thing or another, I find the visits more and more trying.
Enjoy your holidays/cruises/travels; hope the unwell are coping ok, and everyone is in a good place.
Carpe diem my dear friends. Love well and lots… ???❤️??

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’ve just woken up and there’s a spider the size of a dinner plate on the wall opposite my bed. I’ll have to keep an eye on it. It is our book group this afternoon. We all read the same book this time - ‘The Light We Cannot See’ (or very close to that title). A Second World War book, which was very moving. It won a Pullizer Prize. We have an electrician coming today to look at why the fuse box keeps tripping.

Morning all from a wet S Hants, not far from Ashcombe, safe journey to you both. This is the first proper rain for about seven weeks, it was such a surprise waking up to it, hope grandMattie has some too.
Lovely meal out last night with my daughter and the grandchildren, we sat outside with a particularly persistent wasp.
Voluntary phone day today, so a bit restricted, but I have phone calls to make.
Enjoy your day, thoughts with those struggling ??

Good morning from a rather wet one in Portsmouth!

After a busy journey we booked into Travelodge and, after relaxing for an hour or so, headed for the attached pub, only to be told it stopped serving food at 8.00 pm due to staff shortages!! It used to be open until 10.00pm. We consoled ourselves with crisps and a bottle of Spanish Chardonnay from the bar at £5.00 per bottle!!

Our ferry leaves at 8.15pm so I think, once on board, we shall indulge in the full English breakfast before heading for our cabin.

Wishing you all a happy day, whatever you’ve planned. ?????

Good morning!
A rather boring day ahead after usual DDog walk, carrying on emptying out the bedrooms- I think most stuff will have to come downstairs so I am doing it in stages. I know it’s a week until the carpets come but DH is away and I need to pace myself.
I didn’t sleep well last night, so hoping I might catch a nap later, that’ll be a first!
Have a lovely day everyone x

Good Morning
Bucketing down here in the Channel Isles. Nice though to have watched and listened during the night to a bit of stormy weather. I wasn’t disturbed much just vaguely recall moving thee curtains to see.
Enjoy the coming day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here in brackley but its dry this morning.
Yesterday, I had another letter from the NHS, as regards appointment, anyway sorted as its a phone conversation and they call me for a chat etc.
Today , my usual trip on the bus to Bicester , I prefer to go early pay a one way fare ,as it gives me 2 hours to be more relaxed , instead of rushing around in a hour .
Take Care,
Mick
