With regards to the alleged fire, they had to go out to make another appearance, leaving Archie being looked after. When George 6th died the much younger Elizabeth had to fly straight home and start being Queen. It's what goes with the job.

One thing puzzled me about Meghan mentioning a heater causing a fire.

She says she was giving a speech outdoors at the time it happened and from the pictures showing that, her audience was wearing lightweight summer clothes as was she.

Why would a heater be switched on in such clement weather?

Only republicans would have been complaining about funding them in the early days, Glorianny and they do that about all the royals. Most people were happy for them but when it became apparent that all they were going to do was whinge and moan about their pampered life opinions soon changed.

I have no problems with them earning their own millions so long as they ditch their titles and stop using the royal family as a nice little earner.

They can earn whatever/however they like, but as Anniebach said they are using their royal family connections to do this. That is what is wrong. You just don't do that to your family. Every time they surface another tiny drop of secret behind-the-scenes royal gossip is released. It makes me sick.

Charles uses his royal family connections to get large donations for his charities. Andrew's daughter used her royal family connections to get donations for her wedding. By dint of having royal family connections, each member has an unfair advantage in life which they are programmed to use.
Set them all free to live an ordinary life.
