Is there something in the water just now?

This place is for people to chat and discuss things - not just for 'worries, helpful hints and joy' (although all of those are obviously included).

The last few days has been nothing but people trying to dictate what gets posted.

is this because my work colleague actually believes I can become PM? grin

I’ve had a stinker of a day, but with a happy ending. Some pillock crashed into me the other day by turning right into a side road without signalling when I was on the main road. Hassle I didn’t need.
However, the replacement courtesy car I’ve been to collect today is a lovely upgrade, and this afternoon, having decided to put my son, who’s learning to drive, on the car insurance when I renew it next week, I managed to save £400 compared to the quote given by my own insurance company, when I shopped on the comparison site. Just don’t mention the word car to me today though, I’ve had enough.

On the positive side - I will probably burn up some fat around my middle by turning the heating off. I look forward to getting into my skinny jeans again by the spring! smile

Just ignore those posts Fanny . They are not worth responding to. Don’t give them the satisfaction. ?

All this talk about lighting candles to keep warm sounds very Dickensian. I would Have to be very desperate to get that bad.

I will only light candles if there is a power cut.

biggest thing that worries me about this lighting candles is the fire risk.
I read an interesting article the other day on burning candles and it tells us
"For heating a single room 24 hours, you would need 120 tea candles! And if you want to heat an entire home, or a cabin, let’s say with 3 rooms, you would need 360 candles!"
