Sitz bath anyone tried one?

The modern word for sitz bath is bidet. I'd not like to be without one in my shower room.

If you have a conventional bath why would you want one, I suppose if you only have a shower and have the space for a Sitz then why not.

Some of us have problems getting into and out of the bath, even from a seated position, but yes you are right. It would involve more water of course.

There are little holes in the back so the displaced water runs into the loo. ?

I thought a sitz bath was a Japanese type bath in which you sit, water up to the neck! (DD has one which I can’t manage to get in/out of without installing a crane!) However after consulting Mr Google I now know what it is. My question is, is there a displacement of water once the derriere is in situ? I have visions of flooding the loo floor despite the apparent drainage holes in the ‘bath’. After tending to the problem area , it would be a disaster to then slip on a wet floor and break a hip ?. If you can allay my fears, I might be persuaded to invest in one

A heartfelt (well not exactly “heart”but you know where I mean !) thank you to whoever pointed me towards sitz baths. I won’t go into details, but suffice it to say the product designed for one condition if the derrière seemed to set up an inflammation - and excruciating itch- close thereto. A few sessions on the “throne” and I have been able to dispense with the “product” and the itch has disappeared.

Didn’t expect such a quick delivery ? my daughter ordered it on my behalf and then thought I should have asked for GNs experiences as had no clue about them.. watched a short video about set up and just had pretty cooling and refreshing experience.. the little flusher spray a bonus as not all sitz bad come with them … used only 1-2 lites of water so am feeling more positive about issues?

I've just googled it too, now I am worried about the sort of adverts that will pop up on my laptop!

I've wanted one for ages having tried an old one years ago .

They are absolutely brilliant for relieving all sorts of pain /infection in your nether regions !

I used salt in mine .

Now I see that you can order them on Amazon .

So I hope that it fixes your problem .

Never heard of a sitz bath...I'm away to google it
