I was shocked at what I saw in Morrisons yesterday. A tray in the chill cabinet about the size of a 500g mince tray. It was labelled “butchers beef bones” It was a bone with a few fragments of beef and fat on it priced £3.49. Similar to what a local butcher shop years ago would have handed over free of charge to make a pot of soup. This bone was weighed and priced at £4.59 a kilo.
