Ha, ha Kalu. I was obviously thinking of you, when I writing ?my post to Baubles!
I am so glad to here that your GP has been able to help.
You may have guessed that I have lost the plot!

Kalu Sat 03-Sept-22 10:59:47

A late good morning from Glasgow. A successful visit with my GP yesterday who prescribed Amitriptyline along with Co-codamol for further pain relief. First dose at bedtime hence my very late post, but I had a pain free much needed unbroken sleep through to 10.30.

I do have a nearby Sainsbury Marydoll but with two teenage GDs, I am not on a search for baby clothes!?. baubles is though. Your results seem to be taking forever lending to added stress which you can do without. Hope the results are in your favour. ?
Thank goodness for your DD’s quick instinct to avoid the lunatic GM. There appears to be more of them on the roads now. It really does shake you up.
To echo Stilllearning, please keep the rain in your own bit baubles. Grey skies with a slight wind and dry here so far.

Best wishes to all for a pleasant day.

Good morning from a mixed up northwest coast.
Saw an excellent (Italian) doc yesterday who is referring me to a specialist and seemed to know right away what my problems are. That was very comforting.
Friends arriving from a little distance for a lunch in our smartest hotel. One is someone who has played the piano for me over the years and it’s his birthday soon, so have put together a birthday present and am wearing a dress I love from Ibiza.
He wants to come early as “We talk so much!” I’ll have to warn him that I am not quite one hundred per cent…
I also have a bag of books they might be interested in and have been putting aside with them in mind.
Hope you have a nice Saturday and thoughts to anyone with troubles.

Auntieflo Sat 03-Sept-22 10:11:17

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
Thank you for all the anniversary wishes yesterday. Unfortunately DH was quite unwell all day and slept nearly all the time. Maybe it was the tablets he had taken, but he says he feels better this morning. So I had a quiet day and caught up on lots of recorded TV programmes.
Our front dash cam has fallen down, having lost its 'stickiness'. I tried Gorilla double sided tape. No good, then tried double sided carpet tape. No good. So it will probably be a trip to Halfords, where it was originally fitted.
It's been an expensive week, what with paying the balance of our short holiday trip. Road Tax, Car insurance, and a couple of other things.
But, I did have a £100.00 Premium Bond win this month.
Liked your bathroom cabinet Ashcombe, wish I had a DH who was good at DIY.
Oh GrandMattie, what an awful shock for you all on the motorway, but luckily you are all OK.
Fingers crossed Marydoll that your results come soon.
It is a beautiful day here, so have a good day one and all.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning all!
Late on parade! I didnt have a good night, pain in my legs and hips kept me awake then finally as it got light I dropped into a deep sleep so didnt get up till 9!
I think yesterdays outing to the hospital took it out of me so today a nice easy day I hope.
Its a lovely sunny morning here near Heathrow and its showing my windows need washing (OHs job!) so I am going to point that out! He also needs to drop the bags round to the charity shop so thats him occupied while I have a new book to read or maybe a bit of sewing (I am learning Urmston).
I havent read your posts yet so will just say hugs and best wishes to those in need, congrats to those celebrating and have a good day folks!

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, hoping it stays dry as I want to cut the back grass this afternoon.

Enjoyed my shopping trip yesterday morning and got everything I needed. Bit unsettling to see winter clothes in Sainsbury's!

Went over to see my lovely neighbours in the afternoon armed with two bottles of wine to thank them for keeping an eye on the house while I was away. Was invited in for coffee which I gratefully accepted as I felt in need of company, and we caught up on all the news for the next hour or so.

Most of the evening spent fielding emails and messages between two branches of the family. My sisters, brother and I wish to add a small stone to the family grave where
our grandparents are buried and where our parents ashes are interred. My cousins, (first cousins once removed), however, look on the grave as theirs, as their grandparents are buried there too - it's a bit complicated as my grandparents are their great-grandparents. One cousin doesn't mind but others are being very territorial. Families.....

Must shake a leg and get showered and dressed. Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent, some rain overnight.
Off for a quick shop and to deal with an overdue library book!
Yesterday's outing to help DGS3 with computer equipment was a failure so I think we have to have another go today.
Best wishes to all

Taichinan Sat 03-Sept-22 09:13:57

That made me smile Elspeth! I remained blind to all housework needing done (still am, and hope there's not an option cure that!) but I do remember the amazing blue of the distant hills and the brilliant zingy red of red cars rather than the browny orange they were pre op. I could at last understand why Monet threw away the paintings he had done pre op!

aggie Sat 03-Sept-22 09:10:36

Good morning everyone from a very wet Co Armagh, think it has been raining since 5 am
Packed my case and closed it as it was preying on my mind , away for a few days from Monday , now the logistics of getting out the door , locking up and negotiating the steps with a case , hand bag and walker will occupy my mind
I spend so much time worrying , then turn down help , I’m my own worst enemy !
I love reading so my Kindle is a great space saver , it doesn’t eat power like the iPad
Middle Son is here to see how to water stuff in the greenhouse, luckily everything is starting to wind down , so it’s not too much

Jaxjacky Sat 03-Sept-22 09:10:06

GrannySomerset Sat 03-Sept-22 08:56:52

Good morning from a cloudy North Somerset where it is distinctly cooler but still rain free. I am out to supper this evening and tomorrow so that is what passes for a gay social whirl these days. Need to buy a couple of bottles to take with me. Nothing else planned but next week is quite busy so a reading day would be good.

Glad to see our various travellers returning safely after adventures at sea, sorry that Marydoll is not nearer a solution to her health problems and hope we all have a trouble free day.

ShazzaKanazza Sat 03-Sept-22 08:53:30

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. I do think we have showers today.

Sago have a wonderful time at your sons wedding today. Many congratulations to them??

Hello Elspeth45 in Sydney ?

grandMattie that experience yesterday on the motorway sounded so scary for you all?

We haven’t got a lot on today just bits and pieces. We need to try and get the I Pad fixed in town, there are a couple of places. DH says it’s the inner screen that’s broken. It was at the hands of a frustrated 7 year old. ?

We need to do a small food shop. Just been down the veg garden to pick runner beans for tea. DH is cooking a halibut Thai green curry so they will go in. I only like them picked small before they go stringy.

Enjoy your day everyone if you can. Thoughts to those struggling with stress and illness. ??

Georgesgran Sat 03-Sept-22 08:52:17

Good morning from Durham. It’s grey and raining. Thank you for your kind thoughts yesterday - sadly just another day now. I was pleased to have DGS1 staying for a couple of days and we met DD2 and her family for a forest walk. He went home last night, so I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend - I haven’t stopped since I got back from Malaga last Friday. I’m very enviousUrms it’s a lovely place.
Enjoy the weekend. X

Stilllearning Sat 03-Sept-22 08:50:50

Morning from S Lanarkshire, grey and windy here but no rain yet, could you keep it at ‘your bit’ please baubles!

I didn’t get to read yesterdays posts till late on and just want to add my thoughts to both Georgesgran and Taichinan?

Glad also to read your good news Harrigran

Thank goodness for your DD’s driving skills grandMattie

I’m heading to Biggar this morning where there’s still a good book shop. They have a lovely children’s section and I want a wee gift to add to a new baby parcel for big brother who is still not much more than a baby himself.
Lunch with a friend there is an added incentive!

I’m envious of your lovely walking holiday brook although those days are behind me now, but I’ve enjoyed doing it vicariously!

Wishing everyone the best possible weekend ???

Oopsadaisy1 Sat 03-Sept-22 08:40:36

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a sunny and warm Oxfordshire. We had a downpour yesterday morning and one last night and the grass is greening up nicely, a bit too late to save some plants, but I’m not so bothered, all of the Geraniums are being watered and will come indoors overwinter.
We had DHs mate over last night for supper it was so warm indoors that we took pudding and the cheese course outside, it was a lovely evening and the umbrella saved us from the brief rain. DHs mate showed us some card tricks which looked very easy so I’ll have a go at one of them later, I’m sure they weren’t that simple. The Inquest on his wife’s death last year has been delayed again from July, then August, goodness knows when it will be done now, all due to Covid, apparently.
I have to start sorting clothes for our holiday on Monday, I put clothes on the spare room bed that I wanted to take, I now have to whittle it down to things that I Need to take, else the case will be too stuffed and too heavy, we have a washing machine at the Villa so 3 days worth will be fine and we will wash as we go along. What am I saying ‘I’ will wash as we go along!

Urms I will do the health form tomorrow, as we don’t actually fly out until early Tuesday morning, fingers crossed I don’t mess it up, thanks for your help, I have also printed the Vaccination info off, again hope I’ve done it properly and that I have the correct details.

Granmattie that sounds awful so relieved that you are all ok

Have a good day everyone and hugs for those who aren’t feeling so good today.

Sar53 Sat 03-Sept-22 08:35:13

Good morning from an overcast Essex by the sea but it is still quite warm.

Some bits and pieces shopping this morning and probably coffee somewhere.

DD2 and family are back from Spain today. 14 year old granddaughter had a nasty abscess on the her gum but a dentist in Spain saw her straight away, drained the abscess and prescribed antibiotics. All this for the price of 37 euros.
Braces will straighten her teeth but not good when they rub and cause an abscess.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone and enjoy the last of the summer weather xxx

Urmstongran Sat 03-Sept-22 08:32:28

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga ?
As far as Himself is concerned he’s living his best life this weekend as he has wall-to-wall sports to watch! Rangers -v- Celtic at lunchtime (different bar, different Glaswegian pals are out and calling for him ha!) then Man. Utd at teatime followed by the Grand Prix tomorrow.

Starting Monday we are going to venture out & about a bit more for our last 10 days because it IS cooler now!

I do ❤️ it here.

Elspeth45 Sat 03-Sept-22 08:27:51

Its evening here in Sydney but I've spent the day cleaning! Since my cataract op 2 weeks ago I've been shocked at what I can see. So I've cleaned windows, shower screens and found numerous cob webs. I was warned this would happen but thought my place was clean. Cold and wet here in Sydney.

Sago Sat 03-Sept-22 08:13:25

Good morning from sunny Bordeaux, arrived at the chateau yesterday for the wedding celebrations to begin.
A family dinner last night with the bridesmaid, best man and partners, it was lovely for us to be together.
A slow morning this morning and then the fun begins at 3 pm.
The weather forecast was for rain but that has now changed???.
I’m just hoping a week of French bread won’t mean I can’t zip up my dress.

Greyduster Sat 03-Sept-22 08:12:40

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cloudy cool South Yorkshire. It must have rained in the night. DS is visiting today for a couple of days. It will be nice to have his company. We are going to tackle the big hedge outside the garden wall. It’s a pig! I’m hoping to persuade him to go with me to watch GS play football tomorrow - it’s their first match of the season - but it depends on what time he has to get back home.
Have the best day you can folks.

kittylester Sat 03-Sept-22 08:08:00

Good morning all from, as dragonfly and pollydolly have already mentioned, a misty North Leicestershire.

We are currently in bed with DGDs 2 & 4 who are watching something very noisy on the TV.

Some of the family are going to the football and some of us are staying home. Before they go, I need to provide hot dogs for 6 people.

This lot go home today to be replaced by Bertie, Persie and Wolfie who are staying the night.

And, that is the end of visits till half term! And a chance to recharge the batteries and refill the freezer.

Marydoll Sat 03-Sept-22 08:04:16

Good morning all from a damp and cloudy Glasgow.

An easy day planned. I must finish off my fridge cleaning, which I had to give up on yesterday, as I didn't feel too good. I'm my own worst enemy, DH kindly offered to take over, but I stubbornly refused, as I would never be able to find anything again.

I had a phone call yesterday ( in the middle of Sainsbury's!) from my GP to say the hospital had contacted her about my biopsy results. As Stilllearning advised me, there is a long delay and the consultant will write to me, as soon as she has them. These biopsies were deemed urgent, I wonder how long non urgent would take.
It was good of her to call me, but doesn't help with the constant pain and my concerns and the fact that all my RA meds have been stopped until I have a diagnosis.
Its hard work, trying to remain upbeat and positive in front of my family!!!

DH is off for lunch at DS1's to watch the football and have lunch. I am not welcome at these boy club events and will go up afterwards, with my first attempt at mango sorbet for DIL.
Papa is totally unaware, that Dollie plans to give him a makeover. ? I can't wait to see the results.

I think I missed Auntiflo's wedding anniversary yesterday, I hope you had a lovely day,
Taichnan, I was thinking of you yesterday, a difficult day for you.
Kalu, I don't know if there is a Sainsburys near you, but they had lots of baby clothes in the sale. I was in the one, on the Southside, near your family.

Wishing you all a pleasant Saturday and safe journey to the travellers..
