Good morning Mick and all who follow. Early start today DH has a fishing contest, he isn't fishing but organises an interclub challenge so he needs to be there.
So what to do with my empty, think I may take a trip to the designer centre can find more to look at when on my own.
Friends coming later so a trip to the club this evening.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Will catch up with everybody's news later. Enjoy your Saturday and may you all find some ?

Good morning, all, from a dry bright La Sarthe.

Yesterday, DH constructed a new unit for the bathroom, where, as is common in France, the washing machine is housed. It replaces an old set of drawers and came from Lidl. We chose the white version which has an attractive marble effect surround.

Thoughts were with Taichinan yesterday and it’s good you had company yesterday and a pleasant day planned.

Happy weekend, everyone! ?????

Good morning Mick and everyone from the calm and busy Channel. We are approaching Dover and due to dock at 8am. Fingers crossed my booked taxi doesn’t let me down as I am not keen to drag my suitcase to the station! I am staying with DS1 and family until Monday when my fingers will still be crossed for a train home.
Wishing you all the best possible day…I’m off for an early breakfast.

karmalady Sat 03-Sept-22 06:30:36

Good morning from s somerset. It is will be cooler today and seems cloudy and dull. I cannot see me being enticed to craft outside today

I need to get out for a cycle ride, my aerobic exercise, only for an hour but it sets me up for the day. The rest of the day will evolve as it always does and I can see me walking around with a duster later

grandMattie Sat 03-Sept-22 06:35:55

Good morning from a dry Bristol. It’s still, warm but compared to Kent m is tropical green.
We came back from Wales yesterday afternoon. We visited St. Fagans and saw some of the little houses/cottages. On another visit, I’d like to see the castle and gardens.
We had a dreadful fright on the way home. Some idiot decided at the 11th hour that s/he had taken the wrong exit on the motorway and just pulled out in front of us. Poor DD tried to swerve right, but there twas another car coming at speed, so screeched to the left, missing the idiot. The girls were very, very shaken by this - they seem to suffer dreadfully from all sorts of anxieties, and this was added to the pile ?
They had some sort of do at Glastonbury and left me to my own devices.
At about 2030, there was a very insistent knocking on the door. I answered and was give “my shopping”. I hadn’t been told anything about this but assumed it was theirs, it was only when I was half way through unpacking that I realised the shopping couldn’t be theirs - the sort of purchases were definitely not the family’s. The address was checked and I was right. Cue repacking, many apologies…. I forgot to return a pack of loo roll which I shall have to take to the other add later this morning.
Today, I hav3 som3 mending and ironing to do, but don’t know what else.
Carpe diem. ❤️????

Good morning all from soggy South Lanarkshire.

My work catch up call went well yesterday, they’re being very supportive but don’t want me back until after my occupational health appointment in three weeks time.

I did some shopping for the youngest GC who is fast outgrowing his clothes. Asda has very reasonably priced baby things, great value as they won’t be worn for very long.

There’s an agricultural show locally today which I thought we might drop into but only if it stops raining as the fields will get very muddy.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Hi everyone from what seems to be a muggy West Oxfordshire. It is my fortnightly stint at the interesting house today! The season finishes at the end of October so not many left. OH will spend the day watching football on Eurosport!

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another warm, dry day. There is a 55% chance of rain later according to my weather app. I'll believe it when I see it. The temperature will be in the mid 20s. We need a cardi in the evening now but haven't needed any more than that for months here.
I have yesterday's sandy beach towels and clothes to launder and to clean through now that the DGSs have gone home.
A trip to Aldi to replace all they ate too and maybe a browse at the farmer's market and eco festival that are both on in the City centre today.
Love to all ? x

ginny Sat 03-Sept-22 07:17:49

Good morning everyone.
A quick local food shop after breakfast then DD1 is coming over to go for a walk with her Dad. I shan’t go as I have too many aches and pains so don’t want to hold them back. I’ll have lunch ready when the return
Later I will be organising equipment that I’ll need for going away on a craft retreat .
Thoughts with all who have worries or struggles of any kind.
Wishing all a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Grey cloud and raining in my corner of Lancashire. Currently 17°C.

We had a lovely sunny day for our outing yesterday and a delicious pub lunch. We were very late to bed, today will be a restful one.

Have the best day possible all, whatever you’re doing???

brook2704 Sat 03-Sept-22 07:27:43

Good morning everyone we’re at Lulworth Cove just now, it’s a bit cloudy and grey but it’s not raining. Yesterdays walk was beautiful, a flattish walk out of Weymouth but then it soon turned into rollercoaster cliff tops that we’re quite challenging! Stunning scenery passing Durdle Door before arriving here where we’ve stayed overnight in a little Shepherds Hut.
Oh my goodness gMattie that near miss must have been awful. It really shakes you up but thankfully everyone is ok ❤️
It’s good that your feeling ready to go back to work baubles but look after yourself too
Sounds like you’ve had a lovely time Ekwa enjoy the weekend with your son and safe travels home
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Beechnut Sat 03-Sept-22 07:30:18

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s misty down on the river.

I’ve a course to go to today, pick-up my prescription and sort out my car insurance. I was pleased with yesterday’s garden work and May do a bit more this afternoon.

Have a good day all ?

dragonfly46 Sat 03-Sept-22 07:37:04

Good morning from misty Leicestershire.
Popping into town for a coffee and some shopping.

Like the cabinet Ash we are having our downstairs cloakroom replaced and have to choose all the stuff.

Wishing everyone a good day.

SunshineSally Sat 03-Sept-22 07:39:07

Good morning from Shropshire.

I am hoping today will be a quiet day before a busy couple of weeks coming up.

I had a phone call from the GP quite soon after I had called them yesterday morning.I had never spoken to this Dr before but he was very thorough and spoke to me for 25 minutes. He has decided I need some repeat tests which I would have had had it not been for Covid and so has told me to stop taking all the medication I take for my stomach issues.Hoping I will cope without too many issues especially as we are away for a few days next week??

grandMattie, the near miss sounds horrific.Thank goodness for your daughters quick thinking in avoiding an accident.

Thoughts with Grandmabatty?

Have a good day all???

PollyDolly Sat 03-Sept-22 07:55:54

Good morning from a hazy East Midlands. I'm presently enjoying my first cup of tea and listening to Tony Blackburn on Radio 2 playing 60's music.
Don't have much planned for today other than a quick tidy up, clean the bathroom etc. Hopefully I can get out for a walk later.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care in all you. do.

Taichinan Sat 03-Sept-22 07:56:34

Good morning Mick and everyone. It's a grey day on the Angus coast, a windy 17° - which is a tad better than the 8° morning temp we have had lately!
Thank you for all the kind comments and flowers yesterday. Sad that we it's 'just another day' now, but that's the way life goes.
Nothing planned for today, but it's been a hectic week of appointments so a nice relax with a book is welcome. Welcome home Ekwa - I hope your taxi awaits.
That was a scare Grandmattie! An incident like that leaves you very shaken. Thank goodness your DD's reactions were swift.
Have a good day everyone x

GrannyGravy13 Sat 03-Sept-22 08:02:06

Morning Mick and all

Warm and sunny here in S E Essex, off to the local butchers this morning and then I shall be in the kitchen batch cooking this afternoon. The freezer needs filling up with some home cooked easy dinners.

I also have my paperwork cupboard to sort out.

Have a good one folks ??‍♀️

Marydoll Sat 03-Sept-22 08:04:16

Good morning all from a damp and cloudy Glasgow.

An easy day planned. I must finish off my fridge cleaning, which I had to give up on yesterday, as I didn't feel too good. I'm my own worst enemy, DH kindly offered to take over, but I stubbornly refused, as I would never be able to find anything again.

I had a phone call yesterday ( in the middle of Sainsbury's!) from my GP to say the hospital had contacted her about my biopsy results. As Stilllearning advised me, there is a long delay and the consultant will write to me, as soon as she has them. These biopsies were deemed urgent, I wonder how long non urgent would take.
It was good of her to call me, but doesn't help with the constant pain and my concerns and the fact that all my RA meds have been stopped until I have a diagnosis.
Its hard work, trying to remain upbeat and positive in front of my family!!!

DH is off for lunch at DS1's to watch the football and have lunch. I am not welcome at these boy club events and will go up afterwards, with my first attempt at mango sorbet for DIL.
Papa is totally unaware, that Dollie plans to give him a makeover. ? I can't wait to see the results.

I think I missed Auntiflo's wedding anniversary yesterday, I hope you had a lovely day,
Taichnan, I was thinking of you yesterday, a difficult day for you.
Kalu, I don't know if there is a Sainsburys near you, but they had lots of baby clothes in the sale. I was in the one, on the Southside, near your family.

Wishing you all a pleasant Saturday and safe journey to the travellers..

kittylester Sat 03-Sept-22 08:08:00

Good morning all from, as dragonfly and pollydolly have already mentioned, a misty North Leicestershire.

We are currently in bed with DGDs 2 & 4 who are watching something very noisy on the TV.

Some of the family are going to the football and some of us are staying home. Before they go, I need to provide hot dogs for 6 people.

This lot go home today to be replaced by Bertie, Persie and Wolfie who are staying the night.

And, that is the end of visits till half term! And a chance to recharge the batteries and refill the freezer.

Greyduster Sat 03-Sept-22 08:12:40

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cloudy cool South Yorkshire. It must have rained in the night. DS is visiting today for a couple of days. It will be nice to have his company. We are going to tackle the big hedge outside the garden wall. It’s a pig! I’m hoping to persuade him to go with me to watch GS play football tomorrow - it’s their first match of the season - but it depends on what time he has to get back home.
Have the best day you can folks.

Sago Sat 03-Sept-22 08:13:25

Good morning from sunny Bordeaux, arrived at the chateau yesterday for the wedding celebrations to begin.
A family dinner last night with the bridesmaid, best man and partners, it was lovely for us to be together.
A slow morning this morning and then the fun begins at 3 pm.
The weather forecast was for rain but that has now changed???.
I’m just hoping a week of French bread won’t mean I can’t zip up my dress.

Elspeth45 Sat 03-Sept-22 08:27:51

Its evening here in Sydney but I've spent the day cleaning! Since my cataract op 2 weeks ago I've been shocked at what I can see. So I've cleaned windows, shower screens and found numerous cob webs. I was warned this would happen but thought my place was clean. Cold and wet here in Sydney.

Urmstongran Sat 03-Sept-22 08:32:28

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from sunny Malaga ?
As far as Himself is concerned he’s living his best life this weekend as he has wall-to-wall sports to watch! Rangers -v- Celtic at lunchtime (different bar, different Glaswegian pals are out and calling for him ha!) then Man. Utd at teatime followed by the Grand Prix tomorrow.

Starting Monday we are going to venture out & about a bit more for our last 10 days because it IS cooler now!

I do ❤️ it here.
