Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight but dry here in brackley at the moment.
Today , I have to be careful as to what medication I can have prior to having Endopsy done in hospital .
My sister is coming to stay in the guest room and taking me for the check up and bringing me home .
She has had it done so is aware , the hospital have asked me to bring some sandwiches to have after plus I have some glucose tablets as well to regain energy after it.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all! I missed yesterday! We had unexpected overnight guests on Saturday night so yesterday was chaotic! There were 5 of us in our little 1 bed flat so no chance of a quiet 5 minutes to post here, thank goodness its back to normal now just the aftermath to clean up!
Its going to be a busy day.
Hugs to those in need, congrats to any celebrating and keep on keeping on to everyone!

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a blue skied Hull. DH asked me if I heard the torrential rain in the night but I didn’t.

Mick hope your procedure goes well. I’ve had 3 endoscopies all with spray but if I had another I would definitely be sedated.

Safe journey home today grandMattie

Kitty little Wolfie made me smile what a cutie pleased he’s better.

BlueBalou my DH put up IKEA office furniture and managed to do it wrong and the front of his desk has photo frames of the grandchildren covering up wrong screw holes?

We had DD and GDs over yesterday. GD1 helped me pick veg from the garden insisting on cutting the leaf tops off the beetroot herself while I tried to keep my fingers out of the way. She chased the frogs around the frog pool telling them how cute they both are.
Baby B is sitting up now and she is doing baby led weaning so enjoyed her carrot sticks and broccoli from the Sunday lunch.
Today is zoom yoga and then a lot of dust removal is needed. Housework has taken a bit of a back seat during the summer holidays.

Enjoy your day everyone if you can. Thoughts to those feeling under the weather today??

Good morning from sunny Colchester. We've had a bit of overnight rain but I wasn't wakened by forecast thunder.
I can hear the chatter of happy parents as it's return to school day here. I've already received photos of my DGSs in their uniforms.
I shall venture into the City centre (5 minute walk) and browse the quiet shops. But first I need to try to renegotiate my broadband contract as they have raised the price by a horrendous amount.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from a bright and sunny East Midlands. We. had some thunder during the night and I suspect a short, but heavy, downfall of rain. I have some late broad bean plants in the garden which will need staking today - the rain has push them over a little.
Good luck to all those GC starting back to school or facing their very first day in school today.
Thinking of all those facing their own challenges too today.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care in all you do.

Gala Mon 05-Sept-22 08:15:42

Good morning from a lovely sunny Sefton. Ground is still wet so there may have been a bit more rain overnight.
An uninterrupted night's sleep - bliss - after all the dog barking & cock crowing of the last few nights. We enjoyed looking round Saltaire, a world heritage site & what must be a unique example of a Victorian model village. Amazingly still intact & normal life continues there. I overdosed on David Hockney's body of work that is exhibited in Salts Mill climbing 4 flights of stairs, twice, to get to it. Phew. ?

Singing this morning for our little group of 'non singers'. And a bit of gardening this afternoon. Need to repot my fig tree.... well it's more of a fig bush but still productive. It has to stay in a pot as there is nowhere to plant it in soil. Hope I don't kill it off.

Take care & have the best day you can.

For those thinking about an air fryer, go for it!
DD bought me a small one from Asda a few years ago, then I progressed to a bigger one, which I loved.
I now have a multifunction NINJA, which is constantly being used. I must have saved a fortune, as I hardly use my grill or oven now and so much healthier.

We’ve had a very busy week since returning from our cruise last Sunday on our return home we were amazed to see our living room had been decorated with balloons etc and gifts left for our 40th wedding anniversary. DGD3’s 4th birthday party on Monday, DGS2 all day Tuesday, 7 machine loads of washing, DGD3 on Thursday pm, and our new sofa was delivered on Friday followed 2 hours later by the sale of the old one. Timing could not have been better.

It goes without saying DGS2 was ill again with a temp of 40c on Monday during the party and was very grouchy but had improved on Tuesday. We haven’t been feeling all that well since leaving the ship. There were a few Covid cases on board. Tested 3 times this week but always negative.

It was DGD3’s first day of school on Friday which she loved. On Saturday she went into her parents bedroom very early having put her school uniform on and asked to be taken into school. ? . She is very small for her age - her 16 month old brother is only 2 shoe sizes behind her. Last week she was still only 3. It is also DGS1’s first day at his secondary school today.

Thinking of your most terrible year GrandMattie and what a triumph for Iris. ?

Thunderstorm late last night. Good wishes to you all and have a good day.

Taichinan Mon 05-Sept-22 08:23:09

Good morning Mick and all from a grey, damp and muggy Angus coast. Still a-bed so just looking north where anything beyond the bottom of the field has all but disappeared. No hills to be seen. The farmer must be relieved to have harvested the wheat and collected the straw bails last week before the weather broke. That was a noisy time - talk about the peace and quiet of the countryside!
I'm sure all will go well with your endoscopy today Mick and it's comforting to know you have your sister with you.
Marydoll, take care on your travels today, and enjoy your meet up with your friend. Your poor DH is going to be on tenterhooks til you get home!
Little Wolfie looks ready for anything, Kitty! Beware!
Such a lovely photo Urms. Enjoy your wander and I hope you get your kettle. Strange how these things always come in threes.
Yesterday must have been very hard Grandmattie. Safe journey home today - I wonder if it has rained in Kent yet?
Now I must away and get this show on the road as they say. I wonder why I'm such a reluctant mover this morning! I blame this unusual heavy humidity - nothing at all to do with #^lazygran^wink. Have a good day all x

Good morning from Staffordshire.

We are looking after DGS today as he has an inset day.I was awake most of the night stressing about things I can do nothing about and then up at 5 to drive over to Stafford.DGS starts school on Wednesday.Wednesday and Thursday are half days and then first full day on Friday. We are coming over again on Friday to collect him after school but no more regular Mondays.

Hope your journey home is trouble free grandMattie.

Have a good day all???

baubles Mon 05-Sept-22 08:34:19

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where the sun is shining from a watery looking sky. Lots of wind and rain overnight.

Hope today goes well Mick.

Safe trip home Mattie.

I managed to pick up a few baby things in Sainsbugs Marydoll, thanks for the heads up.

I’m going for lunch with a working friend, she’s taking an extended break. I’ll be in your neck of the woods stilllearning

Good luck to all the little ones starting or going back to school, our lot are all well settled in now despite eldest GDG getting on the wrong bus one morning!

Have the best day possible everyone.

Marydoll Mon 05-Sept-22 08:35:26

Taichinan, I am going to put my location on my phone, until I am safely in Glasgow, then he won't worry. That is if he actuallly looks at it! wink

I will then switch it off, as I do not wish him to know what shops I am in! ?

RoseeLee Mon 05-Sept-22 08:48:32

Morning all from Gloucestershire…
Good luck today, Mick, and thank you for starting the Good Morning thread every day.
Everybody’s posts are very much appreciated by this lurker! :-) x

Chrissielou Mon 05-Sept-22 09:06:30

Lots of lightening and rain last night in West Oxfordshire but fresh and sunny this morning.
Gingster I'm all for a air fryer group! I'm pleased with my 5 in 1 but need some inspiration and I want to learn more about timings, but so far so good. Rotisserie chicken will be attempted this week smile.
Hope all goes well for you Mick.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 05-Sept-22 09:09:52

Haha Marydoll I found that funny switching off the locator when you are in the shops especially TK MAXX eh! Safe journey

Welcome RoseeLee please join us with your news

Blossoming Mon 05-Sept-22 09:16:56

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 18°C.

No real plans for today, other than housework, exercises and Gaelic lessons.

Have the best day possible all, whatever you’re doing??

ShazzaKanazza Mon 05-Sept-22 09:17:02

Glammagran your GD has the most beautiful face what an angel x

Stilllearning Mon 05-Sept-22 09:22:13

Morning from S Lanarkshire, it’s been wet during the night but bright sunshine now.

Yesterday’s family get together was just lovely. The returning ‘Australians’ were delighted, the adult cousins were really pleased to see each other and it was so good to see the 12 next generation youngsters playing together happily.
So much to be thankful for, as we oldies also enjoyed a great catch up.

Boiler man coming for the annual service this morning and then off for school pick up etc.

Good luck with your endoscope Mick, good that your sister is with you.

Wishing everyone the best day possible???

luluaugust Mon 05-Sept-22 09:26:40

Good morning from an overcast W Kent, apparently thunder and lightening in the night which I missed and a nice drop of rain.
Tidying up and starting packing day today, off later in the week.
Good luck Mick for procedure and Marydoll with the driving.

hollysteers Mon 05-Sept-22 09:31:21

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside like Blossoming northwest coast.
Off to see tenor colleague in lunchtime concert today. The gig comes with coffee and cake and I am going on the bus for a change which I enjoy. Will pick up some necessities whilst in town too. The only problem with the bus is one can’t buy too much, maybe a good thing.
Had appointment for Botox top up yesterday, (we performers have to keep up to scratch!) but she let me down and didn’t even text or telephone. She’s recommended by my good singer friend so I know she will be ok, but it’s frustrating waiting around for someone. So expecting her late afternoon.
Hope endoscopy goes well Mick. My daughter came with me when I had mine done and did the driving.
Have a nice day as the Americans say.

Kalu Mon 05-Sept-22 10:12:10

Good morning all from a sunny, blue sky Glasgow, presently in my She-Shed for a late kick start espresso, listening to Joni Mitchell. Bliss

DD1 and the girls joined us yesterday to celebrate DD1’s 47th!! birthday. By the time they arrived the dreich morning had lifted and we enjoyed sitting chatting in the garden.
I too will be meeting a friend in Glasgow, I will look out for you in Buchanan Street Marydoll. Any trip into Glasgow guarantees bumping into someone I know.
I am pleased to know your sister will be with you today Mick, hoping your procedure goes smoothly.
And, there he is, the Wondrous Wolfie. Never a dull moment with this boy kitty. Hope the meds kick in soon for him.
Safe travels home. GM
Good luck to all the children starting/returning to another school term.

Best wishes for a good day to all

Kalu Mon 05-Sept-22 10:16:22

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 05-Sept-22 10:26:59

Good morning all from cloudy and damp Harrogate
I did post yesterday it just didn’t appear!
DHs birthday today and his present has just arrived. His other present I think has got lost! I bought him a kindle. The last one I bought him, he refused to use so I use it. Now, at least I know how to use it and probably will be doing it for the duration!
The past few days were really hectic. Dsis1 felt ill on the train here so got off the train and went back home. DSis 2 and her DH did come. That was Wednesday. On Thursday we had afternoon tea atNidd Hall Mick it was to celebrate DSis1s birthday! Friday we went to Ilkley to Dear cousin’s funeral and saw all the relations we hadn’t seen since her son’s funeral 2020. Very sad she was my friend as well as my cousin. Saturday we visited Knaresborough ending up with a birthday celebration for DH at DD1. DSis and her DH left late afternoon and drive back to Lochmaben
Good luck with your endoscopy- go for sedation if you get the chance. I’m surprised you have to take your own sarnies!!
Have the best day possible folks

Georgesgran Mon 05-Sept-22 10:52:25

A late good morning from a damp Durham. Car in for a ‘simple’ air-con re-gas. Did I say simple??? Apparently a front spring is broken - another £550!
Hoping they can get the part for tomorrow which messes up my plans for a day in Harrogate.
At least 2 days of ‘house arrest’ will get me to find a duster and dig the Shark cleaner out of the back of the cupboard.
Hope Micks appointment goes well and special thoughts for others worried about whatever problem, big or small. X
