Some years ago I wrote to all the major supermarkets to suggest that they should have a section on their online shopping sites labelled UK Produced so that we can simply and easily choose to only shop from that section.
I got very little in the way of positive responses.
Today I took a Tesco chicken breast out of the fridge and it said Poland on it. What the hell am I doing eating a chicken breast from Poland when Sun Valley chickens is on my doorstep and also lots of small free range producers!
I would like to restart this idea as a campaign to all the supermarkets - if I did so, do you think others would join me and write to them to? How might I get that ball rolling?
