Good morning all from an Autumn morning here in Glasgow.
Mick, I'm sorry to hear you have bowel cancer, that must have been a shock for you. I hope you receive prompt treatment. You will find posters on GN, who have had the same diagnosis and will offer advice and support.
As for the anaemia, mine was caused by my stomach issues and was resolved, with appropriate medication. I felt so much better. I'm sure your clinicians have dealt promptly with that too.
Harri, what wonderful news for you. Excellent service from the NHS for both you and Mick.
Nine weeks on from my urgent gastroscopy, I'm still awaiting my biopsy results, despite my GP chasing the hospital. My RA drugs cannot be restarted, until the RA consultant knows the results. Its very difficult to stay positive, the longer it goes on and knowing that there is definitely something wrong..
Today is a momentous day for us, I am collecting Dollie from school, for the first time ever and we are taking her to her ballet lesson in one of the nearby villages. I don't know, who is more excited, DH and I or her!
She started school, when I was shielding and DS, rightly so, was worried about me being in crowds once my shielding period was over and has always been wary about me picking her up.
I'm so looking forward to it, because many of the grandparents stood at the same gate as me as parents, now our children are parents themselves.
I also know many of the staff, some were my students, including the Heidie ( Head Teacher),
Circumstances have changed for me, life is too short now and there have been so many missed opportunities. So from now on, I have decided to carpe secundo. Forget the days and minutes, GM, its time to get serious! ?
Those pesky windfall apples are still staring at me, I just couldn't face them, because yesterday wasn't a very good day. It was a surprisingly quiet day, indulging in trashy foreign language dramas. I was glad of an excuse to do nothing. ?
However, a Gran friend gave me a recipe, which my DH and SIL will love it! Many thanks, #thoughtful gran.
It will need to be baked tomorrow, as we need a few essentials today. Is anyone finding the use by dates are very short these days? As for the rise in prices, DD brought me a LIDL leaflet, I was shocked at how expensive items were.
I having been thinking of all who are unwell on here, having so much to contend with, especially the poorly DDs.
Those receiving results yesterday, I hope they are not too worrying.
Ash, those night time heart episodes can be scary, I praying things have settled down.
Blossoming, I missed you, I' mrelieved to hear you are on holiday and not unwell.
Grandmabatty was mentioned as missing yesterday, she is one of our dear Glesca Grannies , I hope she is ok.
Finally GM, hoping you have managed to finalise your Bristol trip arrangements.
I'm now going back now to read the thread, the sun has just come out, a good omen.?
