The funeral and covid

My neighbours have Covid, but you wouldn't know it, they are behaving as if they haven't got it.
In my opinion, some people have become blasé.

That is certainly a consideration. I wish I was going, my heart says yes and my head says no. I'm having my Covid booster next week so another reason not to go.

It's been on my mind for a while, so we shall see, I suppose.

Schools are back so there's bound to be an autumn surge.

Yes it crossed my mind when the crowds started to gather. The sight of King Charles and all the senior royals chatting close up and shaking hands with large numbers of the public made me uneasy. They’ve also been at several indoor ceremonies.

I said to the same to my DD yesterday. It’s a given, I think,.

I have no doubt that there will be an upward surge. I have not noticed many people in the long queues and crowds actually wearing masks either.
I have poor mobility and there is no chance that I would be able to travel to London let alone stand in a queue for hours on end to pay my respects - something that I can do close to home by signing a book of condolence and taking moments of quiet reflection.
