Good morning Mick and all who follow. Gosh you are really early, I've an early start DH is fishing only 2 more contests after this.
Nothing planned for today will perhaps tidy some cupboards out, then again I've got a few new books that need my attention.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some ?.

God morning from a barely dawning E Kent.
Aren’t the nights drawing in and getting cooler? I wore my light coat and gloves yesterday morning, although it got warmer as the day progressed.
I’m going to the early service this morning. It will be interesting to be in an interregnum as our vicar retired after some 35 years - not a minute too soon in my opinion. He was taking things a little too easy…
I shall carry on assembling the patchwork, it is mostly done, just sewing the strips over the seams to hide them. A lot of hand sewing.
Nothing happening today - just a lot of thoughts for DD and family, moving first thing tomorrow. A new life starting for them.
May today bring you contentment. Carpe diem. ??❤️???

Good morning from Essex by the sea.
I had a lovely day in London yesterday with my daughters.
We wandered around Covent Garden and had lunch at The Ivy Grill. It was very busy but the food was good.
We ended up in the garden of a wine bar near to the Embankment before travelling to our respective homes.
Today DH has rugby then we are invited to fizz and Birthday cake to celebrate DH's grandson's 9th birthday.
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday xx

mummytummy Sun 25-Sept-22 06:52:02

Good morning from Staffordshire ?.
It’s a little chilly at here this morning and I am enjoying the quietness with a cup of tea and watching the sunrise out of my window.
Have a lovely day ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 25-Sept-22 07:05:58

Morning all from a damp Norfolk. We are hoping to visit a National Trust property today - the Blickling Estate. Even if it carries on raining the house looks magnificent. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

BlueBalou Sun 25-Sept-22 07:09:32

Good morning everyone, a dull-skied start here in Wiltshire.
I am having a quiet day today, will walk DDog and get lunch but I intend to get on with knitting my great niece an Aran cardigan, it’s going quite well, whilst listening to audiobooks or a podcast. Bliss!
Have a lovely day everyone x

GrannyGravy13 Sun 25-Sept-22 07:13:06

Good morning all

A few last minute linen items to pop into my suitcase then we are off to Espana ?? (I will check on your beach Urmstongran ).

I cannot believe that your DH’s GS is 9 where have the years gone Sar53

I want you all to be on your best behaviour whilst I am away.

Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do ??‍♀️

Gingster Sun 25-Sept-22 07:26:57

Good morning all.
Enjoy your break away GG .
We’ll rearrange our catch up with Sar when you get back. Your day yesterday sounds lovely with your girls ❤️. Sar.

We have some of the family coming for lunch today. I’m going easy on myself. quiches, salad, ham and cheeses, fruit salad and cakes. #lazy Urmsgran. The whole point is to spend time together - not a gourmet meal! (Says I) ! ?.

Little gd has a swimming lesson at 1, so she will be taken off for an hour and then back to have fun with her cousins.

Looking forward to seeing your finished quilt GM.

Hoping all your days are pleasant! ?

Grandmadinosaur Sun 25-Sept-22 07:28:45

Good morning all from East Yorkshire.

Happy holidays GG also wishing Shazza a lovely holiday too.

Met up with DS and GS yesterday in the city centre. There was a Dinosaur event on for the kids and it was heaving. Still GS enjoyed getting up close and actually touching one. Had a quick bite to eat before they headed home.
Enjoyed Strictly last night.

Today I will go to Waitrose after breakfast. We are out for lunch later. Going to my favourite fish restaurant on the marina. An early Birthday celebration for me as they do not open on the day.

Take care everyone.

ShazzaKanazza Sun 25-Sept-22 07:35:12

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. Just been watching a huge geese formation fly over. Fantastic! Such a majestic sight. They are so loud. My husband says they have to be female being able to fly and chat at the same time?

Best wishes to your family GrandMattie hope they settle well in their new home.

mummytummy ?

Like GrannyGravy we are heading off today. Just got to close the cases and the house and then we are going about lunch to Manchester to a hotel close to the airport ready for an early flight in the morning to Menorca. DH said we could stop off at the Trafford Centre but that could be a bit tempting especially M&S.

Have a lovely day everyone enjoy your family gatherings, Sunday lunches and quiet relaxation. Special thoughts to those living with daily stress and worries ??

ShazzaKanazza Sun 25-Sept-22 07:35:50

Thankyou Grandmadinosaur speak soon x

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 25-Sept-22 07:46:26

Good morning all from Scarborough- haven’t looked out of the window to see what the weather is like, but rain did stop play (my shopping) in town yesterday. We are probably heading for Bridlington or Filey today. Good that you are taking it easy Mick for the time being anyway.
Safe journey Grannygravy
Have the best day possible folks

Greyduster Sun 25-Sept-22 07:47:11

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a brightening South Yorkshire though I don’t think we’ll see a lot of the sun today. I stayed at DD’s last night but slept badly and feel very out of sorts. I promised GS I would watch his football match this morning, and then we are booked to have lunch out. All I actually want to do is go home, but I don’t want to disappoint them.
Have the best day you can folks.

brook2704 Sun 25-Sept-22 07:49:45

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry but it looks quite breezy
I had a lovely day yesterday, I met up with DD2 and DGD in town and then did a bit of shopping. Nothing planned for today, I hope to get a FaceTime call with DS later as we usually speak on a Sunday.
Happy holidays and safe travels to GG, Shazza and anyone else I might have missed.
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Pittcity Sun 25-Sept-22 07:49:49

Good morning from sunny Colchester where it'll reach 15° later. We had a downpour yesterday afternoon but the sky is clear ATM.
Yet another quiet day here.
We'll walk to Aldi for a couple of bits and probably have a Sunday roast later. Maybe finish the weeding that was disturbed by yesterday's rain.
DH will be glad there isn't another epic Strictly episode today. He's happy with Country file and Attenborough.
Love to all ? x

baubles Sun 25-Sept-22 07:57:26

Good morning all from dry but cloudy South Lanarkshire.

What a glorious day yesterday turned out to be, there was real heat in the sun when I was tramping the fields with daft dug.

Church today, our last temporary priest was with us for almost a year before being moved on. Our new temp is Nigerian and last week touched lightly on the horrors still being carried out by Boku Haram around his home town. He hopes to be able to stay here and who could blame him.

We may pop over later to see DD’s family and check out how their building work is progressing.

Have a good Sunday everyone and safe travels to those lucky folk going off on holiday.

cornergran Sun 25-Sept-22 07:59:24

Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset

Stayed this side of the bridge yesterday as our friend felt too poorly to go ahead with our plans. She was disappointed, we’re concerned as she’s not the best at self care. Met our family at a mid way shopping centre for a coffee and chat, handed over birthday and anniversary gifts. Enjoyed their company for an hour before going our separate ways. We decided to visit an NT property on the way home which was very enjoyable in warm sunshine

Faffing around today I think, some tidying desperately needed.

Good luck wishes to your family for tomorrow grandmattie, a hectic day ahead for them. Safe travels to those on the move, have a wonderful time to those on or going on holiday. Special thoughts to all finding life hard going.

Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Urmstongran Sun 25-Sept-22 08:08:47

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s still and quiet this Sunday morning in Urmston town centre. Three workmen in high viz jackets are painting the railings purple at the train station opposite. A train to Liverpool Lime Street has just pulled into Platform 2.

We didn’t stay over to mind the children in the end - there was a change of plan and so we were able to leave around 8pm.

We are going over the road for a curry with my stepfather at 3pm. He was very amenable to the idea and I don’t have to cook. Yay!

Lesson No. 5 “Plant the Seed”

Hope you have a wonderful holiday GG13 in Arroyo. I love that buzzy little town. I expect you’ll be out-and-abouting, visiting old haunts.

You too Shazza. That’s a marathon journey to get a flight! I would have thought Leeds Bradford airport would have been easier - or do they not fly to Menorca?

Enjoy your Sunday all who can.

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 25-Sept-22 08:09:55

Good morning from a sunny Pollensa after a very stormy night, electricity is back on so I can get a coffee and the electric gates will open so we can get out later.
Slept awkwardly so shoulders and hip very achy, will take a pill, I might just have to be lazy and read another book ( for a change)
Hope everyone has a good day

Grandmabatty Sun 25-Sept-22 08:10:47

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and cloudy. Yesterday was a glorious day. Bright and beautiful with that wonderful light you get as the world turns to autumn. I had breakfast with a chum at the garden centre. They have a lovely restaurant. Then I bought bulbs and some colourful plant pots for the house. Madness overtook me and I bought a Maidenhair fern and an African violet. I am not good with ferns but it looked so pretty. Oh well. I took my friend home as she rarely drives now and we sat in her lounge and drank tea and blethered. In the afternoon I got the housework done and watched strictly at night.
Today I will have to go to Aldi for food then plant up the bulbs. I fancy baking so I'll see what I have in the cupboard. Have a good day all.

Marydoll Sun 25-Sept-22 08:20:56

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is currently 10°C.

Like you Greyduster, I am out of sorts after a dreadful episode of night terrors and a bout of nausea. All I could think about in the middle of the night was being well enough to go to DD2's for lunch. Thank goodness for my stash of anti nausea medication.
DS' in laws have been invited too, to peruse the wedding photos with us. It has taken ages for them to be ready.
We get on well with them, so it promises to be a pleasant afternoon.
As designated driver, I will need to be back before it gets dark, my cataracts make it difficult to see at night, I find the car headlights blinding now.

GG, I hope you have a lovely holiday. DH's golf partner and the Ebay queen are off to Malaga this morning. ?
We know they got up in time to go to the airport, for their house alarm went off at 3.30am. ?
Its lovely to hear of all the holidays, I admit to being a tad envious.
Once my biopsy results eventually come back, ( it's now shockingly ten weeks of waiting), DH and I plan a few British holidays. Being uninsurable now, has ruled out any foreign holidays.
We each have a very long bucket list, but need to compromise first! ?

As always those in the sick bay are always in my thoughts.
A warm welcome to mummytummy
Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.

ShazzaKanazza Sun 25-Sept-22 08:23:07

Hi Urms. Leeds Bradford do fly to Menorca in fact my parents flew out of there last Friday. They are staying in the next resort to us so we will be spending a week together.
It was a good offer to go from Manchester. X

BlueSapphire Sun 25-Sept-22 08:23:51

Good morning everyone from a bright Northampton. Should stay dry today, so will cut the back grass this afternoon before it gets too long. Something has been digging holes in it and tearing out huge pieces of turf, so some repair work needs doing.

Will draw a veil over yesterday's rugby - we played well in the first half and went in after half-time with a good lead, but it was all downhill after that. And then I had to wait half an hour for a bus home.

Going to try bacon in the air-fryer this morning, I hear it is very good. Just wondering if I can heat an M&S chicken pie in it for dinner tonight.

Have a lovely and peaceful Sunday everyone.

Gala Sun 25-Sept-22 08:54:38

Good morning from Sefton. It's cloudy with hints of brightness.

A quiet day today after a grand night out with our sons & their wives. Their musical theatre company were celebrating 50 years so we were treated to lots of lovely singing during the evening. Such a lot of talent.

We get lots of geese flying over Shazza, on their way to local nature reserves. I think your husband may be onto something, they do "chat" a lot and loudly. ?

Happy holidays to those on their travels. ((Hugs)) to those that need them.
