Good Morning Everyone,
Dark as usual here in brackley but remains dry this morning.
My usual bus trip out to Bicester , i need a few more iron tablets as my prescription ones are running low, something to last me until I have the iron infusion .
So I am taking packet with me and will try pharmacists to see if I can get some to purchase .
Take Care,
Mick

I must have slept for a month (I should ne so lucky) and seem to have woken up on my birthday!!

But no, checking the calendar, I find it's still September and I'm off to see the ENB in Swan Lake in Liverpool.

Gbatty, don’t worry too much about the pattern. I out a plea on the UWI Fb page and have a couple of contacts. Thank you for trying, though. ❤️

Morning all from a wet and overcast S Yorks

Oh dear (ahem) can't do the last mowing of the year today.

Maybe some sorting/pottering as I'm on the road of a lot of us of knowing I'll be wanting to move somewhere easier tho not just yet. Maybe the gym or a coffee out somewhere. Got quite a bit of admin.

GranMattie that quilt is absolutely lovely.

Jaxjacky exactly my problem when collecting locally and yes it will even be thermals (heatgen long sleeves, in red)

Ladyleftfieldlovermy sis used to live your way, and I love the Cathedral as its got so many lovely litte interesting chapels and is more welcoming than many big cathedrals.

Lovey holiday pictures alway like to see them.

Take care and may your Thursday go as well as they might, bests for appointments medical and hair...

No Matt.

Good morning everyone from sunny south Manchester. It’s mild too and there’s no breeze. Lovely! We may go out for a walk later but I’ve told a neighbour she can put me down for her Amazon delivery today.

We have no calls on our time today, no swimming lessons as the Boy Wonder is at a residential camp in Todmorden (back tomorrow teatime) and L’il Miss although back in school isn’t up for such activity.

Love the holiday sunshine photos ladies thank you for sharing. We fly back out to Málaga in just over a fortnight and I’m on countdown already! GG13 I can appreciate that airport arrival will have been poignant for you. Memories eh? And grandMattie what a gorgeous quilt. Honestly to craft to that high standard is pretty awesome. Like you. ?

Enjoy Thursday all who can. I didn’t notice the month was wrong in the title!

Good morning all from the Black country, rain again overnight but hopefully it will brighten up later.
Yesterday was nice and sunny we managed to get out in garden after nursery pickup, lawn cut and weeding up to date.
Need to collect DH prescription.
Lovely sunny photos from overseas and what a gorgeous quilt.
Enjoy your Thursday everyone and may you all find some ?.

EkwaNimitee Thu 29-Sept-22 08:53:59

Good morning Mick and everyone from a bright Carlisle where it's trying to be sunny after a showery night.
I have to pop out shortly for my covid jab then I'll soon be looking to book a flu jab. I didn't fancy having them at the same time. I'll hope to get out in the garden this afternoon because, judging by the weather forecast, I certainly won't want to tomorrow!

A lovely quilt grandMattie, it should be a family heirloom.
How frustrating to have to lie about Marydoll, I hope you're on the go and feeling better soon.

Have the best possible day all.

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Northampton, but should clear up a bit later.

I enjoyed yesterday afternoon at the well-being cafe; had a good chat, set the world to rights and managed some progress with my knitting. Must get on with it now as the colder weather approaches, as I am sure my friend will be glad of it then. When I got home I did some proper cooking for once for my dinner and made meatballs in tomato sauce and spaghetti. Must remember to put more seasoning and flavour in the meatballs next time, they were a bit bland but I enjoyed the meal.

Had to cancel my Sainsbury's delivery this morning, as I forgot that I would be out; tried to change it, but sadly no other slots available until 10pm tonight, so I may pop down later this afternoon to get the essentials.

Out to our fellow walker 's funeral later this morning; a sad day for all; she only had a few weeks between diagnosis and her passing. Will try to think of it as a celebration of her life instead.

A.beautiful quilt, grandMattie, you are so talented.

And lovely holiday photographs, thank you to the posters.

Wishing all a pleasant Thursday.

Hey monk - we posted at exactly the same time and used the same adjective about grandMattie’s quilt! As L’il Miss would shout out “jinx!”
?

Morning all! Further to OP talking about renewing car insurance. A job I hate too. Apparently if you drive less than 5,000 miles a year it’s worth insuring pay-per-mile so might investigate that.
Have never been to Norfolk-must go soon (ish!) as eldest DGD has acquired a lovely boyfriend who is from near Diss. He’s definitely a keeper-so I have my wedding outfit ready ?

monk08 Thu 29-Sept-22 09:16:27

Urms it's a case of great minds think alike ? never heard of "jinx" is it a northern expression.

Good morning from sunny (at present) S Lanarkshire.
You’ll have a lovely time with your family brook, bookended by long train journeys, total bliss! Enjoy.

A poignant arrival for you GG13, it probably always will be.
Thanks for lovely pictures, that moment of sunrise is my favourite of the day when I’m on holiday, I get up to see it every day.

Pittcity The tomb of Christopher Columbus in the cathedral is worth seeing, for some reason I was quite overwhelmed, I think until then I had the subconscious feeling he was a ‘story’ rather than a person!

Lovely quilt again gMattie, good luck with your kind deed.

Will be thinking about you and your daughter Chrissielou

Off to visit my sister in law this afternoon, taking soup for lunch, she hasn’t been well and is a very good cook so I feel slight trepidation!

Wishing everyone the best day possible???

Good morning Mick and everyone. A cool, dry and cloudy morning in this corner ofLancashire.

The quilt is beautiful GrandMattie, the recipient will be delighted. I hope all the equipment arrives as promised, you are so good to be doing this for your friend.

UTIs are miserable and debilitating Marydoll. I hope it’s soon gone and I hope you behave yourself and rest today!

Jax the M&S here has recently moved collection next to the food, good marketing going on there!

Norwich cathedral is beautiful LadyLFL. The ballet sounds lovely MrsPickle, enjoy your day.

Lovely photos from afar today, thank you all for sharing them.

Safe journey Brook and any other travellers. Hope any medical appointments go well.

I’m feeling much better, I’m sleeping OK and the nausea has subsided. Another day snuggling in my Oodie, it’s so warm and comforting. I must sort some paperwork but won’t be doing anything too energetic.

Have a good day all ???

Good morning from a chilly but sunny South Yorkshire.

We had a lot of rain last night, much needed of course.

No Pilates class today as the teacher is away, so I’ll try and do some myself shortly, just to limber up a bit.

Another lovely quilt, grandMattie.

I’m enjoying seeing the photos of holiday destinations, and the sunrise ones are particularly beautiful.

Mick, you should be able to get more iron tablets from your GP if they are on your regular prescription. As others say, you need the correct dosage and strength and the surgery need to be aware of what you are taking.

Well, that’s it from me today. Safe journey to all on their travels.

Take care.

Mapleleaf Thu 29-Sept-22 09:52:46

Just noticed that the heading is still slightly incorrect ??

aggie Thu 29-Sept-22 10:11:31

good morning all from a sunny bright cold NI.
Love the heading this morning ?
Michael I am another one who thinks you can get a repeat prescription from the surgery , I remember being on iron , but was told the course given was enough and only to get more iron if a blood test showed it was necessary, seems you can overdo it

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 29-Sept-22 10:31:00

Good Morning from sunny Harrogate. Its been raining, though. Some lovely photos displayed, thank you!
Glad you got yourself sorted out Marydoll hope it all goes to plan!
I agree with the others, don't buy extra medication over the counter, it might clash with what you are prescribed.
Just had our sainsburies delivery and two phone calls from DD1. Now having a quick coffee before going to my doctor's appointment. Hopefully I can be sorted out!
Did notice the heading is slightly GOOFY!!
Have the best day possible folks!

hollysteers Thu 29-Sept-22 10:42:01

Goof morning Mick and all from a now dull northwest coast?
My sister arrived from London last night and we had a pork casserole in civilised style in the dining room with candelabra etc., the dining room table cleared of music and art stuff.
We then talked until the small hours and are going into town for a look round and out for a meal tonight.
I dreamt I was being romanced by Stewart Granger and was dressed as a goth, which bothered me as I thought it might not be his style…
Such a beautiful quilt grandmattie, ‘twill become an heirloom.
Have a nice day and thoughts to anyone with worries.
