I was trying to hang on until 1/10, we lit a fire last week but this evening I have broken.
Please tell me I’m not the only one.

No point in having money in the bank and making health worse by freezing.

The heating has kicked in a few times this week. It comes on when the temperature dips below a certain level.

We’ve had the log burner on the last few days. Haven’t put the central heating on yet - trying to avoid that for another couple of weeks at least. But have put the winter quilt on the bed ?

I haven't put the central heating on yet, but today I did switch on the electric fire in the living room as I was f r e e z i n g !
But I think I will put CH on tomorrow as it's 1st October. Just for a while.

Mine was set at 18 degrees and came on for an hour or so this morning. But by afternoon I was feeling cold and as it was raining and windy outside I decided to turn my heating up to 20 so the house would be warm throughout. I did turn it down to 19 early evening when I was cooking tea.

Now, at 11.40 pm, it’s been off since 10 pm and although I’m warm in bed, the air is cool and my nose is cold again!

I’m just going to leave my thermostat at 18 and knock it up if I’m sat around and feeling cold. I did this last year, 18 degrees from 8 am to 10 pm even if out of the house and my kWh gas usage was greatly reduced from the previous year when it cam on for two hours in the morning and 6 hours in the evening.

My fixed tariff ends at end October so I’m preparing for a huge increase but with the £400 bonus and a £260 credit that’s built up, things might not be too bad.
