Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but no rain at present here in brackley .
Today I am planning on going via Buckingham on the buses for a change of scenery on the outward leg ,and see how HS2 is slowly changing the landscape.
Then maybe a Chinese meal take away wise.
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Thanks for the update GM
Thanks for updating us gM I would have been worrying all day about your friend. I’ve never thought of using Alexa for someone stuck in bed but it’s a vey good idea.
Here’s the link, anyway:-

I hope the ambulance arrives soon, grandMattie and perhaps they will be able to offer advice to your visitor about moving safely to the commode.
Newquay: if you click on last day at the top of the thread, you should be able to find yesterday’s Good Morning thread by scrolling down.
Update.
The ambulance was here by 0730. Two lovely chaps looked her over. They were horrified that she wasn’t give crutches - we’ll talk to the physio when the domiciliary one comes. She got a nasty fright but is fine.
She was doing so well last night that it didn’t occur to either of us, but as we both have our phones by the bed, she can call me.
I went to her house and got her alarm thingy, which I hadn’t known she had, and that will be of help too.
We’re both muddling along, it will get better as we’ll learn more about how to cope.
Thank you for your advice. ❤️
Good morning from a bright and sunny South Staffs where I stayed overnight.
DGD4 (11) and I have a pub meal last night whilst the rest of the family had an evening out. She didn’t want dessert as she said she was full up and it would be wasted! Now I now she is growing up
Had Covid jab yesterday and feeling a bit off. Which is unusual as I have never had a reaction before.
Monk yes the photos were of Lagos.
After breakfast will pop into Mums on way home. Wishing you all a pleasant day.
Good morning all,
It’s a sunshine and shower type morning now after a sunny start. A typical October day, really.
I will come back to read the posts later as I’m going out shortly for my covid booster with ??that there are no side effects.
Take care everyone.
A belated good morning from a glorious Durham, after a day of torrential rain yesterday. I’d like to hope that an ambulance has turned upgM but I believe they can take hours. I hope you and your your friend aren't too upset by this shaky start. When DH was ill, it was recommended I had a careline installed, although I couldn’t see the point, but went along with it. Sure enough a few days later DH fell in the bedroom and they responded within half an hour and between us we managed to get him back into bed.
Off for coffee with a friend now, then must get to grips with the garden later.
Have a good weekend.
Newquay
I don’t/can’t always read GN-so then I see folk referring to the previous days posts. How do I get them then?
Went with a friend to a local pub for fundraising coffee morning for Hospiceyesterday. Had “bellyache!” (Again) but felt ok. As we approached pub said bellyache returned so dear friend dropped me at the door-I made a dash to the loo then promptly fainted and was sick! The young staff-all young men-were brilliant. Very attentive and caring. They rang for an ambulance but, after a while, felt ok again so it was cancelled. What a performance! £1k was raised for Hospice.
Felt better, just washed out, the rest of the day and had a decent night but. . .”bellyache “ is still mildly coming and going ?
Moan over!

Hope you feel better soon.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Lovely sunny day with birdsong. I've been out to pick flowers for the tables at the Saturday open house café. Such a selection; roses and rosehips, snap dragons, montbretia, bergamot and campion
My new helper arrived yesterday and she was cold. I lit the log fire and gave her a hottie.
I'm on a zoom conference all today.
Sorry about your friend gMattie and her bad first night. I bought a box of bells which use Wi-fi so DH could press for help. I hope there's no repeat
Have a happy weekend everyone.
A later good morning from S Lanarkshire, still wet but les windy.
I was so happy to read your news yesterday Chrissielou and Blossoming too!
Happy belated birthday wishes Taichinan?
What a rotten start for you and your friend grandMattie, I do hope help has arrived by now and you are not too shaken.
Quiet day for me I think, I have a list of tasks and will make a start on it. It’s just doing that first one is the challenge! Last night I was supposed to join some friends watching a film in the local hall and I just couldn’t be bothered going out in the rain. Must do better as my school report used to say?
Wishing everyone a good day ???
Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. Just finished pile of ironing and intend to spend the afternoon batch cooking.
grandMattie hope the ambulance has now come and your friend is alright.
All the best
Sorry to hear you had a bad night Grandmabatty, hope you feel better today.
Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Co Armagh
Such a change from the monsoon yesterday ,
Fist session of our Painting class yesterday was oversubscribed ! Usually we are short of numbers , all went well , but the teacher had to go round and help people individually as the rain thundering down on the gym roof was so loud
Neighbour ( DD) has a wash out so hope the day stays dry
GM not a good start to you so kind help ! I hope she is back off the floor by now !
Good morning Mick and everyone. A bright cold morning in this corner of Lancashire.
I’m having my boosters today. No other plans, I will see how I feel afterwards.
What a shame GrandMattie, I hope everything is OK.
Happy Birthday to your stepfather Urms, I love Plockton too. Belated Happy Birthday Taichinan [smile ]
Glad you had a lovely day Marydoll, please get some rest today!
Hope everyone finds a little happiness today ?
I love that dress ginny! What a lovely thing to do too.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11°, breezy and showery. Grandmattie I hope your friend is sorted now. Urmston happy birthday to your dear step dad. He sounds a real character.
Yesterday was a quiet day apart from the Tesco delivery. It was the driver who speaks to me as if I'm very very elderly and needing assistance which I find irritating as I'm neither yet. I enjoyed my air fryer chips with a steak though. I bought a new frying pan and didn't spot the security tag was still on. I wrestled with it last night, pricked my finger on the wire and gave up in disgust.
Today will be a housework day. Bedding needs changed, hoovering, cleaning floors etc. I'm not feeling great today but I'll be fine once I get moving. I had an interrupted night and then slept late which always discombobulates me. Anyway, have a good day all.
Good morning from sunny Sefton.
Plenty of rain here yesterday though we did manage not to get wet when we went for our flu jabs.
Painting and papering will keep us busy today then I’ll find some time to read the above posts. Sending best wishes to all.

Good morning as Maw says a lovely bright start here in N. Bucks.
I’m feeling better today after a very uncomfortable day yesterday which also included a tummy upset.
Still I kept going and managed to finish one dress to be sent out to Africa. I’m not the best seamstress but enjoyed doing it and hope to make a couple more. Have included a picture but it looks rather wonky hanging there.
We have a quiet weekend ahead so hopefully lots of crafting for me . Maybe a trip to the garden centre.
Thoughts with all who are poorly or caring for those who are especially GM and MD
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning from s somerset. It is going to be rainy later and washing plans have been abandoned
GM, I do hope that your help has arrived. Perhaps SS will step in to offer some useful aids. Such a big and selfless undertaking but it must not be adding to your stress
Heating is now on and house is quiet and cosy, I am re-kindling my vanished sewjo today. I need constructive things to do from now to spring. I don`t want to go out to spend money and don`t want to waste away doing nothing much
Sewing or spinning or knitting for me, sewing is best for keeping my brain working. Lovely while listening to downloaded audio from the library
Out for a drive tomorrow and visiting relatives
Be later birthday wishes Taichinan ,hope your friend is ok Grandmattie . Have a good day everyone ?? *Marydoll *hope you feel better had day goes on .
No Matt.
Good morning everyone from sunny south Manchester. What a lovely start to the day. It’s my stepfather’s 90th birthday today! We are picking him up late afternoon and driving him over to our FoF (family of four) for cake, his great grandchildren want to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and a toast to him. He’s such a kind gentle man in every sense of the word. No wonder my late mum married him after she’d been widowed for 15y. I remember her saying ‘if you’ve been happily married, you’re more open to the idea of marrying again’. She was 60y when they wed. We miss her.
Our Yorkshire Lass and her partner (soon to be husband!) will FaceTime to join in the singing. Technology is wonderful - he will enjoy that surprise as he doesn’t have (or want) broadband at home.
Instead of a ‘big’ celebratory party, Himself & my uncle are driving him up to the village in the West Highlands where he was born. They are booked into the hotel overlooking Loch Carron. A beautiful area and he will catch up with his cousin and his wife and many of his extended family.
Enjoy Saturday all who can. x
