Me:

Wordle
Quordle
Trickster
I used to play Candycrush and got completely hooked. Had to delete the app and haven’t dared go anywhere near it since.

Playing a game called SuperCity on facebook, total waste of time!! Used to play a farm game that I got addicted to, eventually deleted it and didn't play any for a long while but now getting addicted to this one

It's gone - relief.
Now we have to find something else!

Tidying and re-tidying my yarn stash
Looking up places on Google maps which I hear mentioned on TV programmes (I'll never visit most of them).

Reading the fantasy threads on Gransnet. Today’s is an absolute belter grin

Hi blossoming. Where can I find fantasy threads have looked but couldn’t see anything.

You can’t find them. GNHQ delete them.

Am I being thick here? How did you read it ?

It’s just struck me how many people on here use technology to waste their time . And yet there are often conversations regarding younger people for always being on their phones or iPads . This is not a criticism, I too enjoy wordle , Pinterest etc , just an observation .

I used a scrying glass. grin

No, I don’t think you’re being thick. I read it before rt was deleted.

Seems the greater number do word puzzles or similar which bore me inside five minutes, maybe because they seem like hard work. I do not even understand strange Japanese number puzzles at all. Hand me a really well written novel up to 500 pages or so and I am happy reading, supplemented with looking up the internet to understand any references and background in the book. This, of course, is not a waste of time, but only self indulgence. A lot better than housework.

Hoping my adult child with MH will not be paranoid and actually let me see my GC.

Other than that I work most of the time.

I mostly do chores and housework in the morning which calms me down and gives me an exercise regime. I listen as I go to things like The Spectator ’World in Sixty Minutes’ and YouTube videos of people like Douglas Murray or Lionel Shriver. I do my Pilates whilst completing the Telegraph quiz word. Then I go for a country or village walk.

The afternoon is taken up with visiting the DD for a walk, reading, afternoon tea with the DH, walks with the DH on his days off and the weekend, sometimes shopping and prepping an evening meal.

The evening is spent reading, doing Telegraph puzzles like the code word and browsing the Internet. The DH and I watch TV on the laptop for one hour, usually subtitled Scandi drama.

Busy doing nothing. Bliss.

Watching TV. Playing golf but at least it's mental and physical exercise, fresh air and socialising.

Reading newspapers. And cutting out recipes from them. AND keeping them neatly filed. I should be reading worthy books instead.

I don't watch Antique programmes on TV
I spend some time cuddling my dog.
No crossword, or word games of any kind.
Hoover and dust when not required

Callistemon, I’m impressed that you tidy your yarn stash! Mine just gets stuffed into drawers - where the balls often manage to unwind themselves and get tangled up with others.

Jaxjacky Sat 08-Oct-22 09:18:57

Making lists of things I need to do, moving said lists from one day to the next, occasionally crossing something off. ?

I was trying to find enough of various shades of blue for a blanket, Witzend.

Just ordered some more ?

Games and threads on GN and Mumsnet. I do these between business tasks to chill out a bit. But sometimes I am tempted to forget about the business tasks until I remember what brings in the money!

Watching the Spooks series on iPlayer. Quite good but more fantasy than reality.
