OMG. This is beyond devastating news Baggs.

It’s terminal.

I’ve just got back from the health centre where I had my flu jab and covid (Pfizer) booster. They were running quite late as they now take people without an appointment for their covid jab. I had poached egg on white toast for lunch and am having chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner.

There are sixty well-wishers' names included inside the card. I made a mistake and added one name twice.
I now have Baggs's daughter's address. At five o'clock, I shall check to make sure that no latecomers wish to be added. The card will be posted first thing tomorrow.

I've just been reading the great reviews for Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music, they opened their new tour in Glasgow last night. I had a ticket to go with my sisters, but I passed it on to DSis 1's DDiL, just didn't feel strong enough for a big night out yet, I'm still wabbit after Covid.

I've made a big pot of lentil soup from ham ribs, help yourselves! Crusty bread on the side...

Now resting on the sofa with Granddog, he sleeps a lot, perfect companion for me just now.?

Dear Baggs, I am a late visitor to the kitchen. Oh, my word! You are having a truly wicked time. As you now know, the giant card has arrived. Thank you for your daughter's address. I am about to add every individual well-wisher's name to the card. It will be posted tomorrow...with our love.

I do hope your DD comes home soon and can get some rest (and food).
Sometimes I wish my DC did not give me blow by blow accounts of what is happening to them but I suppose that is the penalty for having a loving family. Sending you strength to cope.

What a kind thought Urms. Your friend must have been pleased.
Our oldest friends are staying nearby so we are meeting up for some birdwatching and then a late pub lunch today. That will delay the diet for another day.
