Soop's kitchen for kindly folk...

Evening everyone. It’s been a beautiful day and the moon is spectacular tonight. I have cut the lawn, started to clear the veg beds, we had our flu jabs and I’ve been done so much washing. DS and family (7 of them) await a new machine, so mum to the rescue!
Glad Mr s is on the mend and that Baggs got her hug. Please send best wishes to Panache, Doodle.

Aldom that’s very sad, indeed. I’m so sorry.

We had GD for a sleepover last night, for the first time in this new house. She was as good as gold - her strops are clearly for her mother’s benefit and not ours.

My poor friend whose husband died last week is now in hospital after a series of falls. She has an unusual form of MS and now osteoporosis as well so I’m not sure what the outlook is. It’s very sad.

Good news - I got my car back yesterday after it was flooded in bad weather a month ago! I haven’t been able to find what was done to it - the repair company is only allowed to share the ‘diagnosis’ with the insurance company and I must phone them up for details if I want to know. I’m really not sure I have two hours to spare in which to hang around on the phon on Hold. ?

I have had a courtesy car this week, a manual, which I haven’t driven for ages. I bunny-hopped round the local area mainly in second or third gear. . Today, in my automatic car, I kept trying to change gear and put the clutch down!! I’m very pleased to have it back, I must say.

I also had a lovely surprise today. A birthday gift from my son arrived. He’d warned me it would be late - imagine my delight when I opened a brand new, hot off the press copy of the gorgeous Alan Rickman’s Diaries! I shall be in heaven reading that and it’s one book I will never be parting with.

Beautiful sunny day we had here has turned into a chilly evening, another heavy dew tomorrow morning I expect. The sun shining on the heavily dewed grass this morning made it look like hoar frosh, I wish I could have taken a photo.

I've been away, so only just seen the disturbing news of your daughter, Baggs. I am truly sorry. So glad surgery is over and that you have been able to hug your daughter. Hoping and wishing the best for both of your daughters. Kind thoughts to Annsixty, the Soops, and Kitty.
My younger brother died this week. That's both of my younger brothers in the last fourteen months. Just me left. It feels very strange. Night, night everyone

‘Evening All’

Such good news all round in the kitchen tonight. What a difference 48 hours can make!

Excellent. ?

I’m having a sleepover. L’il Miss is fast asleep she went up at 7pm and not a peep. I walked her legs off though - to the library in the warm sunshine, back, round the corner to the hair salon for a dry cut (on the spur of the moment as we were passing) it suits her - short curly brown hair. She looks really cute and she loves it!

The Boy Wonder is downstairs with us. He’s showered and in his pj’s after an energetic day too. A football match then this afternoon a football party for a classmate! We are all on our iPads sitting in companiable silence. Mind you he looked over earlier and said “love you grandma”.
That’ll do me.

News of Panache
I thought I would update you with news of Panache.
Life in her home with other folk around her is good and she is quietly contented, She is slowly making new friends and has joined some local groups. There are some worrying health problems but other than that she is getting on ok.
She sends her love and best wishes to all who remember her.

Hugs with daughters are wonderful anytime but sometimes you really need them Baggs

Great to hear that MrSoop is feeling better. DH had both jags yesterday, he's been fine. I've had to postpone mine, cos I had Covid, apparently you can't have your jag until a month after you are clear.

I'm so glad you've seen your DD, Baggs, that must have been very special and reassuring.

Granddog and I are watching Strictly, wishing you all a lovely evening.
