Good morning from sun-hiding-behind-clouds on the Sefton coast.
DGS here today so we’ll spend some time in the ‘cement pond’ (remember the Beverly Hillbillies?), play in the park, go on the bus.
Enjoy your time in Bicester Mick prior to your very busy hospital schedule and imminent procedure.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Monday 10th October 2022
(61 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
A dark and wet start here in brackley this morning.
Today I will do the bus to Bicester , as I have 3 days of Hospital visits in various locations from tomorrow until Thursday .
This is a build up to my day surgery next week , where I am likely to have a few days in hospital but we will see.
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and cold! There are blue skies though. Happy anniversary to Kittylester and her Mr. Fabulous photo Greyduster.
Yesterday I was in Aldi for food shopping when it seemed everyone was holding a large box. It turned out they were selling heated dryers for under £40. By the time I reached the middle aisle, they had all gone. When I was at the checkout I mentioned it to the girl who said I'll go and look in the back for you. She arrived back with the very last one in the shop. I was very lucky. Dd and the boys arrived in the afternoon and it was such a joy to play with them. Dgs1 wanted his trains out while dgs2 had a nap.
Today I'm making a big pot of lentil, vegetable and chicken soup and spiced red cabbage for Christmas which I'll freeze. Have a good day all
No Matt = Monday.
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s bright but damp. Boy did we have some heavy rain last night! I slept well anyway.
We have no calls on our time today. Nada. If I feel inclined later I might sort out a couple of cupboards. One that holds glassware needs serious culling I noticed at the weekend when I needed a vase.
One week today we will be ✈️ back to our little bolt hole in Málaga for a month. I can’t wait this has been a busy few weeks at home. I’m looking forward to recharging my batteries!
Morning all from a sunny S Yorks, stunning colours int he garden which needs much attention which I am ignoring - but the acers amongst the anemones lovely.
I just have the delights of electrolysis followed by the much nicer haircut n natter with my regular lady.
Phew Mick thats a busy calendar there - may all go well.
Hope bad sleeps are caught up on and family and friends enjoyed today.
Travel safe Sago hope its a clear run view wise.

Greyduster phew, that's quite an upheaval, hope all goes well. Super photo.
And congrats kittylester.
Hope bad sleeps are caught up on and family and friends enjoyed today, and walks are good ones.
Wow, Greyduster, what a great photo. DH took his camera outside last night when I pointed out that the cloud was clearing and the fabulous moon and Jupiter were easily visible. I haven't seen the results yet.
Good morning from rainy Colchester. I have only just woken after a full on family weekend and too much wine and cake.
Back to reality today with housework and laundry. I'll have to get the dehumidifier going and the iron on.
Happy Anniversary to the Lesters ??
Love to all ? x
Happy anniversary, Mr and Mrs Kitty. ???
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another day forecast of sunshine and showers
A very Happy Anniversary to Mr&Mrs Kitty hope you both have a lovely day ???
It’s the start today of 2 weeks half term here for the DGC, so we’ve a little bit of helping out with childcare this week. We’re picking them up later today and they’ll be here for a sleepover tonight. DD2 works from home these days so we’re not needed quite as much as previously.
Beautiful picture grandmadinosaur
Hood everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Morning all from an autumnal West Oxfordshire. I’m still in bed but will get up soon. I must book a taxi for Thursday (OH can’t drive in the morning) for my colonoscopy, change my hair appointment for next Monday as we are going to next door’s funeral, pick up a parcel and do a Waitrose shop. I’ve a stack of ironing too. I hope you all have a stress free day.
Good Morning all from Severnside. It has been raining in the night. A sunny day ahead though.
Towel washing, a few things to iron and then I’m going to do some crafting.
Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsKitty ??
Have a good day all ??
Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull.
I’ll be thinking of you this week Mick with all your appointments.
Happy anniversary Kitty??
We had a lovely afternoon with the GDs yesterday. They are divine. We took them for a walk down to their local park so DD and SIL could get the cases down from the loft and make a start on packing. Baby B slept through the park and slept for two hours in the pram. GD1 and DH played hide and seek with a stuffed dog. So funny. Have to say I’ve never seen a family so unprepared for going on holiday today. But that’s youngsters or is it that I’m always very prepared.
Today it’s the usual Monday. A zoom yoga class and picking up GS from school. I’m going to do a chilli and Son will stay for some when he picks up GS.
Wishing everyone a lovely Monday. Hoping those feeling ill after flu jabs and boosters feel better today. ??
Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton, where apparently we had heavy rain overnight. Set to be fine the rest of the day though.
The DGDs walked home yesterday morning after their sausage butty breakfast, leaving a pile of stuff for DS to pick up. He and his partner had a lovely weekend away, the first part of her 50th birthday celebrations. While he was here DS noticed my broken kitchen drawer, rushed home, and returned with Superglue to fix it.
I spent the afternoon in the garden attacking a giant buddleia, and enjoyed the lovely sunshine.
My happiness was complete when I discovered that my rugby team had a fantastic win yesterday; we had been trailing all the way through the match, and then scored 2 tries in the last 3 minutes to snatch victory! The opposing team and supporters were mightily upset.... Luckily I had recorded the game, and enjoyed watching the unexpected victory.
Off to yoga this morning, then I need to drop something at the surgery; home for a quick lunch, then out to the cinema to see the new George Clooney, Julia Roberts rom-com.
Must shake a leg, get showered and dressed for yoga.
Happy anniversary, Mr & Mrs Kitty
, have a lovely day.
Happy anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. Kittylester! ????
What a charming photograph, Grandmadinosaur! ?✝️?
Well captured shot, Greyduster: you must have a good camera! ? ??

I hope your symptoms ease soon Marydoll
Have as good a day as you can everyone.
Good morning all. Dull and drizzly here in N. Bucks.
A bit of housework to do this morning. Art class this afternoon and another on zoom this evening.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Kitty.
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning all from East Yorkshire.
Do go easy today Mick ahead of your appointments this week.
It’s been a busy few few days here with days out planned with DIL, school harvest festival for GS and yesterday the christening of my GD. She was so good all the way through. Life’s thrown us a few lemons in recent months but days like that make us appreciate our blessings. One of the guests on leaving said to me you have beautiful grandchildren. It made me choke up.
Great photo Greyduster
Happy Anniversary Kitty and Mr.K ?
Good morning from a wet Oxfordshire, we had a nice few hours in Bristol yesterday meeting MissOopsie for lunch and a quick wander around the docks, watched a couple of people getting into a cage and being hoisted up on a crane only to be dropped attached to a bungee cable, rather them than me.
MissOops arriving later today as the hospital needs her there at 7am Tuesday morning ready for an early op and MrOops is taking her in.
Apart from that I’m making some chicken soup and having yet another easy day.
Congrats Kitty on your Anniversary ????
Hope everyone has a good day and that the sun shines on us at some stage today.
Congratulations to you both kitty. Celebrate as well as you can.
Good morning from a gloomy & damp Sefton although it's not raining at the moment.
A quiet day yesterday apart from an unsuccessful trip to a very well known DIY store. We had a list but came away empty handed so will have to try a different store today.
Singing group this morning. It's a U3A group & we have been asked if we would "sing" at the Chr.......s show.? I think perhaps it would be more likely that people might pay to not hear us "sing".?
Take care all & have the best week you can.
Kitty many congratulations to you and Mr K! I hope you feel well enough to have a lovely day!???
That is Jupiter, GrandMattie. I used its proximity to the moon to get a “fix” on it. It’s the closest the planet has been to the earth for some time and will be around for a while yet I believe.
Hello to you all. Yesterday we took our family out for Sunday lunch at a lovely pub restaurant with a function room. There were 17 of us. This was the first day since our Ruby wedding anniversary in August where we could get everyone together at the same time. My sister and her partner stayed over the weekend as they’d travelled from a East Sussex - they go home today. We all had a brilliant time and picked up a large bill at the end
.
There are quite a few of you suffering from the after effects of your vaccines so hope you are all feeling better. And ?for all those who are or have friends and family who are poorly. Wishing everyone a good day
good morning from s somerset, pitch black out. Looks to be a nice sunny day today
A few months ago I would have flung a wash on but I am being more thoughtful and will wait for a full load. The sun always makes me think of getting washing on the line
I need some exercise today, it will be a good day to be out
Grey, I'm always so impressed with your photos!
Good morning from Glasgow, where its eight degrees.
I have few plans for day, still suffering side effects of jag, my nose is streaming and my head bursting.
I came back from a very successful morning at church yesterday, had lunch, then fell asleep for three hours, DH couldn't wake me.
This falling asleep at the drop of a hat, after any activity., is becoming quite disconcerting. Nothing to be done about it though, but having no control over it is really frustrating.
Safe journey to all, who are travelling and enjoy your day, whatever your plans.
