Good Morning Everyone,
A dark and wet start here in brackley this morning.
Today I will do the bus to Bicester , as I have 3 days of Hospital visits in various locations from tomorrow until Thursday .
This is a build up to my day surgery next week , where I am likely to have a few days in hospital but we will see.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from E Kent. Rain is due, but I haven’t heard it yet.
The family went off before lunch; I dropped them off at Ramsgate to pick up HS1 to London. They had a wonderful day; loved the musical “Six”.
DL and I had a quiet rest of the day.
Today, cleaner, gardener, bedding and baking - I’m doing WI teas tomorrow night, I thought I was doing November. Glad we are having leftovers for dinner tonight.
Happy with everyone’s good news. Have a good day. Carpe diem. ??????

Morning Mick, morning All. Sorry, no idea what it’s doing outside other than our corner of Somerset is very dark. Don’t want to disturb Mr C by checking.

Awake since silly o’clock, getting very weary but no point fretting about it. As sunshine is forecast Mr C has requested we venture forth, destination currently unknown.

Wishing you well with the hospital visits and procedures mick, don’t blame you for taking a trip out while you can but please be careful, try not to be at any risk. Will be thinking of you and all facing health challenges.

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Ashcombe Mon 10-Oct-22 06:21:15

Good morning all from Torbay where sun is promised when it eventually rises! .

I’m glad your family enjoyed “Six”, grandMattie. I was impressed by the historical accuracy, the costumes, the music and the clarity of the words since there is no dialogue with the story being relayed entirely through song.

Yesterday’s lunch was a carvery which I enjoyed but, having a small appetite, I find the approach of some diners who pile their plates high, verges on the obscene. Inevitably, some is wasted, as was the case with two of our party.

Enjoy your day out, cornergran! I hope today begins a good week for us all. ?????

Good morning, our final day in Oslo, it was bright and sunny yesterday after a cloudy start, today looks promising.
We leave in an hour for the airport.
I am looking forward to looking out of the plane window as we fly over the fjords.
It was a busy flight over as it was “Potato Week” for the Norwegians! It’s was traditionally the potato harvest so the schools are closed.
It seems most of them visited the UK and were returning on our flight in.

Good morning from Leamington. I haven't a clue what the weather is doing although I did hear rain during the night.
A very busy weekend. Saturday was party day for E, her 7th birthday on Sunday. 13 excited children, mainly girls. DD1 and I deserved our glass of wine when it had finished ?.
Yesterday 6 of us went bowling, Good fun, I haven't bowled for years and I came 2nd.
DGD1 is taking part in the WAGS show, Guides and Scouts. Rehearsals every Sunday afternoon til the show next March. We are all very proud that she passed the audition for the show .
DD1 and I are going to Stratford today. A look around the shops and probably lunch. Tomorrow I return home.
I hope Monday is kind to everyone, much love xx

BlueBalou Mon 10-Oct-22 06:39:52

Good morning everyone, thanks to DDog I have been awake since 4am ?, goodness knows what she was barking at!
It’s damp here too, we really need more rain. I was planting bulbs ( ? helpfully suggested ?) yesterday and the soil was like dust 6” down. I have yet more to plant, I didn’t realise I had ordered so many but it should look lovely in the spring. Lots of pink and white dwarf tulips, narcissi, crocuses and hyacinths.
I hope you all have a good week x

Greyduster Mon 10-Oct-22 06:40:19

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s still very dark in South Yorkshire and I am having my cuppa early because the plumbers are expected this morning to start three or four days of work on the new heating system. DD and her menfolk came over for a late roast dinner yesterday and it was very enjoyable. GS was on good form and we played a very noisy competitive game to round off the evening. Good to have company.
Dentist for me later and I will have to ‘fess up to murmurings from one of my back teeth. Aargh!!!
I took this photo the night before last in no great expectation that it would show what I hoped, and to my great surprise, four of Jupiter’s moons! That’s a photographic first for me.
Have the best day you can folks.

Wow, Grey ! Some achievement. What is the planet accompanying the full moon ATM? Venus?

kittylester Mon 10-Oct-22 06:43:34

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire..

Today, is our 52nd wedding anniversary. So glad we kept ' in sickness and in health' in the vows

Marydoll Mon 10-Oct-22 06:46:43

Good morning from Glasgow, where its eight degrees.

I have few plans for day, still suffering side effects of jag, my nose is streaming and my head bursting.

I came back from a very successful morning at church yesterday, had lunch, then fell asleep for three hours, DH couldn't wake me.
This falling asleep at the drop of a hat, after any activity., is becoming quite disconcerting. Nothing to be done about it though, but having no control over it is really frustrating.

Safe journey to all, who are travelling and enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Marydoll Mon 10-Oct-22 06:47:54

Grey, I'm always so impressed with your photos!

karmalady Mon 10-Oct-22 06:58:13

good morning from s somerset, pitch black out. Looks to be a nice sunny day today

A few months ago I would have flung a wash on but I am being more thoughtful and will wait for a full load. The sun always makes me think of getting washing on the line

I need some exercise today, it will be a good day to be out

glammagran Mon 10-Oct-22 06:59:52

Hello to you all. Yesterday we took our family out for Sunday lunch at a lovely pub restaurant with a function room. There were 17 of us. This was the first day since our Ruby wedding anniversary in August where we could get everyone together at the same time. My sister and her partner stayed over the weekend as they’d travelled from a East Sussex - they go home today. We all had a brilliant time and picked up a large bill at the end grin.

There are quite a few of you suffering from the after effects of your vaccines so hope you are all feeling better. And ?for all those who are or have friends and family who are poorly. Wishing everyone a good day

Greyduster Mon 10-Oct-22 07:00:20

That is Jupiter, GrandMattie. I used its proximity to the moon to get a “fix” on it. It’s the closest the planet has been to the earth for some time and will be around for a while yet I believe.

Greyduster Mon 10-Oct-22 07:01:55

Kitty many congratulations to you and Mr K! I hope you feel well enough to have a lovely day!???

Gala Mon 10-Oct-22 07:13:00

Good morning from a gloomy & damp Sefton although it's not raining at the moment.

A quiet day yesterday apart from an unsuccessful trip to a very well known DIY store. We had a list but came away empty handed so will have to try a different store today.

Singing group this morning. It's a U3A group & we have been asked if we would "sing" at the Chr.......s show.? I think perhaps it would be more likely that people might pay to not hear us "sing".?

Take care all & have the best week you can.

cornergran Mon 10-Oct-22 07:25:36

Congratulations to you both kitty. Celebrate as well as you can.

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 10-Oct-22 07:26:37

Good morning from a wet Oxfordshire, we had a nice few hours in Bristol yesterday meeting MissOopsie for lunch and a quick wander around the docks, watched a couple of people getting into a cage and being hoisted up on a crane only to be dropped attached to a bungee cable, rather them than me.

MissOops arriving later today as the hospital needs her there at 7am Tuesday morning ready for an early op and MrOops is taking her in.

Apart from that I’m making some chicken soup and having yet another easy day.

Congrats Kitty on your Anniversary ????

Hope everyone has a good day and that the sun shines on us at some stage today.

Grandmadinosaur Mon 10-Oct-22 07:29:09

Good morning all from East Yorkshire.

Do go easy today Mick ahead of your appointments this week.

It’s been a busy few few days here with days out planned with DIL, school harvest festival for GS and yesterday the christening of my GD. She was so good all the way through. Life’s thrown us a few lemons in recent months but days like that make us appreciate our blessings. One of the guests on leaving said to me you have beautiful grandchildren. It made me choke up.

Great photo Greyduster

Happy Anniversary Kitty and Mr.K ?

ginny Mon 10-Oct-22 07:33:15

Well captured shot, Greyduster: you must have a good camera! ? ??

Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton, where apparently we had heavy rain overnight. Set to be fine the rest of the day though.

The DGDs walked home yesterday morning after their sausage butty breakfast, leaving a pile of stuff for DS to pick up. He and his partner had a lovely weekend away, the first part of her 50th birthday celebrations. While he was here DS noticed my broken kitchen drawer, rushed home, and returned with Superglue to fix it.
I spent the afternoon in the garden attacking a giant buddleia, and enjoyed the lovely sunshine.

My happiness was complete when I discovered that my rugby team had a fantastic win yesterday; we had been trailing all the way through the match, and then scored 2 tries in the last 3 minutes to snatch victory! The opposing team and supporters were mightily upset.... Luckily I had recorded the game, and enjoyed watching the unexpected victory.

Off to yoga this morning, then I need to drop something at the surgery; home for a quick lunch, then out to the cinema to see the new George Clooney, Julia Roberts rom-com.

Must shake a leg, get showered and dressed for yoga.

Happy anniversary, Mr & Mrs Kitty flowers, have a lovely day.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 10-Oct-22 07:46:22

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull.
I’ll be thinking of you this week Mick with all your appointments.

Happy anniversary Kitty??

We had a lovely afternoon with the GDs yesterday. They are divine. We took them for a walk down to their local park so DD and SIL could get the cases down from the loft and make a start on packing. Baby B slept through the park and slept for two hours in the pram. GD1 and DH played hide and seek with a stuffed dog. So funny. Have to say I’ve never seen a family so unprepared for going on holiday today. But that’s youngsters or is it that I’m always very prepared.

Today it’s the usual Monday. A zoom yoga class and picking up GS from school. I’m going to do a chilli and Son will stay for some when he picks up GS.

Wishing everyone a lovely Monday. Hoping those feeling ill after flu jabs and boosters feel better today. ??
