Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start does not feel as cold as previous morning.
Yesterdays iron infusion went OK roughly 30 minutes on a drip , I think they are going to notify my Doctor as to follow ups if not tablets.
Today this afternoon a preop assessment at the Churchill in Oxford , brother taking me in.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
I’m getting on with this post before I have any more in teruptions Glad appointment no one is over Mick good luck with the 2nd.
Have to mention Urms I do look forward to Matt, thank you!
I hope you soon feel better Kittylester now your GP knows what your problem is.
Yesterday in Edinburgh turned out to be very expensive. Finally got in after 1 pm. Tried to find the information kiosk to find out about buses to The modern galllery 2, but it wasn’t there! Went to the portrait gallery because we had been informed there was a circular bus round the galleries. That stopped years ago! No one knew which bus we get and we’re from!! We got a taxi only to find the gallery was closed!!!!!! So just went across the road to The Gallery of
modern art. They didn’t realise the website did not advise the gallery was closed! We had lunch then at the pictures on the 2nd floor and found them quite infantile. Found the bus back was hourly, so got a taxi back. I enjoyed the first class train journey both ways that I’d treated myself to. It was about meeting my friend which I did do. We did have a few giggles.
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning Mick and everyone. A cold rainy morning in this corner of Lancashire. Hope all goes well today Mick
Not much planned for today. I’m suffering from an erythema outbreak on my hands. I had Stevens Johnson Syndrome a couple of years ago and was very ill so anxious to avoid a repeat. It’s difficult to do much with my hands covered in ointment and wearing gloves, but it is responding to the treatment. I’ve learned that once you’ve had it there’s a risk it will recur. So it will be a little housework, exercises and Gaelic studies. Whatever I can manage.
Sending my deepest condolences to Baggs after yesterday’s horrific news ?
Apologies if I’ve missed anything, using the iPad is difficult.
Have the best day you can all.
baubles just caught up with your news. What a shock for you
I have just read Bagg’s very sad news. My heart goes out to her and her daughter.
Good morning from a bright Durham. Friend’s 67th birthday today, so I’m taking her out for lunch to a local garden centre, then meeting another friend later, who only has a few hours this week to spare.
Another friend’s husband went through his big operation satisfactorily yesterday, but now she is feeling under the weather and not sure that she should be visiting him yet - that gives me time to catch my breath, as I’d offered to take her.
DD2 still reeling from the sudden loss of her beloved pet - after 13 years, they’re family?
Estate agent phoned yesterday to say that a load of rubbish has been flytipped outside the house I have for sale. Technically speaking that area doesn’t belong to my house but I shall have to drive over at some point and see what’s going on.
However this is all trivial compared to the devastating news that Baubles and Baggs are having to cope with. Both are in my thoughts.
Baggs - no words, so upset for you.
Thinking of your family member baubles in such a dark place.
Baubles ?.
Good morning all. It's grey here at the moment, but there's sunshine further up the coast and another patch over the hills, so you never know. I was up at the crack of dawn yesterday to greet the men coming to repair one of my new bedroom windows, but just before they arrived I got a phone call saying they wouldn't be able to come!! I was not best pleased. They gave me another date for Friday but I've just realised that I'm going out - a long arranged lunch which I'd forgotten about when talking to the window men's office - so off we go on the merry-go-round again.
What awful news for you baubles. We're living through such troubled times.....
Well done for yesterday Mick and good luck for today's procedure. Glad it's all coming together for you now
Urms Matt gave me quite a chuckle this morning! Thank you.
Grandmattie I'm so glad your DH's hat has found a worthy head to grace. And well done taking your tai chi class. You do pack a lot into your days!
Nothing much on here today, apart from the usual and taking my friend out for a drive and a cuppa later. So off I trot. Sending love and hugs to where they are needed, along with some sympathetic Bah Humbug ?
Life
Baubles sorry for your news about your family member. ? what they must have been feeling to want to end their like.
I was thinking about Baggs this morning. Just can’t imagine how they are all feeling. My heart goes out to them.
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
My turn on duty at the music club went well (first time) but we had sad news as one of our attendees had died the day before. He had played his guitar the previous week and had a music lesson on the day he died. At ninety six, that’s good going.
I’m off to a recital today and hope the bus turns up on the only day in the week I take a bus. It broke down last week.
Thoughts to all those with troubles here today, I will read through later.
Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire.
MissOops operation went well, compared to last time things are much better, so different to last year when we were still in the midst of Covid and no one was allowed in to see her.
Off again to visit this afternoon.
So many with such sad news at the moment, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
baubles, so very sorry ? All involved in my prayers x
Good morning all from a cloudy W Kent. Waiting for the taxi to take us to the station and then onwards to Scotland.
Thinking of boring meetings, we once attended a talk and film about railway shunting. The gents had all had a good lunch, the lights were put out for the film and the next thing I remember was one of the elderly gents falling off his chair when he dozed off.
baubles I am so sorry you have had such distressing news.
Best wishes to all
Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey and showery Carlisle.
I went into town yesterday in search of a book that even mighty Amazon didn't have. Nor, surprisingly, did Waterstones but they suggested another bookshop I didn't know. What a discovery! They sold new books but also had a perfect warren of secondhand ones. And they had my desired book and a signed copy of it too. Then it was on to the charity bookshop where I disposed of several books but managed to come out with another one I'd spotted in their window, by one of my favourite historian authors. I also managed to treat myself to coffee and biscuits (aren't the cakes getting to be an horrendous price?) and make a pass through the M&S food hall.
I got out in the garden in the afternoon, re-developed a small area and put a shrub in it. Said shrub needs a male partner which was the excuse to trawl online nurseries to find one, plus one or two other temptations.
I shall stay quietly indoors today and catch up with the housework.
There seems to be a lot of poorliness and sadness about on here at the moment. I do hope matters improve for all of you.
Sympathetic thoughts for Baggs and Baubles, both dealing with the most awful situations.
Oh, baubles, I do feel for you having received two pieces of such sad news. I sincerely hope your family member receives every care and treatment to help them through their dark thoughts.
Good morning everyone from a wet Co Armagh,
My friend rang last night , she has Covid , her Daughter is home visiting so lots of bizztiness. Says she hasn’t time to be poorly , but is now isolating as best she can in the bedroom
Listening to her I realised her symptoms are the same as my “cold” ones … yep a test showed positive , have spent the morning cancelling the cleaner , my club , and a visit from a friend
Hugs and prayers for Bags , such devastating news
baubles, ??
Good morning all from dreich South Lanarkshire.
I’ve had a wakeful night thinking about my dear friend who has had dreadful news about her daughter.
We then awoke to a message telling us that a family member attempted to take their life yesterday.
I just don’t have any words.
