Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
Glad you are getting sorted Mick
flowers GrandMattie
Good luck with your procedure Ladyleftfieldlover
Yesterday finally had my COVID jab. That was a palaver, 1st standing in a Queue for 20 mins, for a seat to sit on while waiting for another 20 mins. Still haven’t managed to get an appointment for a flu vac.
Today it’s Sainsburies delivery day then I’ve got someone coming to fix my tumble dryer and washing machine, it could be times up for my WM it’s over 12 years old. In the evening I’m zooming my sisters.
Have the best day possible folks

ShazzaKanazza Thu 13-Oct-22 07:51:57

Best wishes today for your colonoscopy Ladyleftfieldlover. ?

Good Morning to you Emma ?

Baubles really hoping your relative gets the help they need now. Poor love it’s heartbreaking.
Our good friends had this happen to them unfortunately it was a different outcome. ?

Happy birthday Wolfie

Good morning everyone from a grey and misty Northampton. Just wondering whether to put the washing machine on, as I don't think anything will dry in this weather.

Early delivery from Sainsbury's this morning, they have just emailed to say they have everything I ordered, a rare occurrence! Then out for dance classes after lunch; haven't been for three weeks so shall have a lot of catching up to do.

Had an enjoyable afternoon at the well-being cafe yesterday, lots of people to chat to, and got a lot of my knitting done. Got the grass cut when I got home, and started going round the edges with the half-moon spade.

A poignant day for you, grandMattie; my dear DH died a year after our 45th, and it was sad when we reached what would have been our Golden and he wasn't there.

Hope all today's plans go well and for those who have none, hope some serendipity comes along!

Gala Thu 13-Oct-22 07:53:24

Good morning all. Dry, overcast & a bit misty this morning here in Sefton.

Zumba Fitness then some food shopping this morning. No other plans for today. There is always garden tidying, sewing, washing to sort & general household chores (yawn ?) to do. I won't get bored.

Have the best day you can. ((❤️))

Grandmabatty Thu 13-Oct-22 07:58:46

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and positively chilly. My windows have condensation on them due to poor double glazing. There are blue skies though. Grandmattie ?.
Yesterday went well. Lots of socialising was done. Today will be a very quiet day so I can recharge my batteries. Some pottering is required. Have a good day all

Marydoll Thu 13-Oct-22 07:59:31

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow, where its only 5°C.

GM, a sad day for you. ?
If you uninstall your printer and reinstall it, that may work. Go to settings, devices, click on your printer name, then reverse the process, using the add a printer section.
You will also probably need your WiFi password if your friend looks at it.
In fact, I had to do that yesterday, when my printer refused to scan. Its been playing silly beggars for weeks.?

Yesterday I adapted the Dorset apple cake recipie, given to me by a gransnetter, using windfall pears from the garden and ginger, instead of cinnamon. I just wanted to let her know, it was delicious, according to DH. Not my thing at all, so I wouldn't know. ?

I have a bit of admin work to do at church for the parish census, apart from that nothing. I have an RA flare up, with high pain levels at the moment, so it's difficult to concentrate and focus on anything. Thank goodness I have a rheumatology appointment tomorrow, which has been already been cancelled twice.?

Good luck for today, Llfl, Mick and any others, who have appointments.
Hoping that Miss Oops is making good progress and you feel better as the day goes on, Kitty.
A warm welcome also to EmmaMazarella

So much sadness among our group at the moment, I shall keep you all in my prayers.

Wyllow3 Thu 13-Oct-22 07:59:45

Morning all from a rather dull S Yorks.

Today is a little stretch out at the gym and a first meeting of a patients group - coffee speaker and natter group, post covid, see if it suits.

Hope the last day of prep goes well Mick.

I hope the funeral is a good, “goodbye”, Greyduster

May jam making, family meet ups and birthdays, path laying, techie fixings, de-sludged days and wait and see days all go well. Four is a lovely age! Youngest DS is 4 so have a good day with WW.

Thank you for matt, Urmstongran

baubles wishing the very best for relative Andes, I think this should be a wake up call for help.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 13-Oct-22 08:00:40

Morning all

Pleased things are going smoothly for you Mick

A poignant day grandMattie

Hope your procedure goes to plan ladyleftfieldlover

I am another early waker today, I have been wide awake since 5am, I shall be fading by lunchtime. DH is on a mission with the council planning department so he is off out. I am not sure what I shall do, a trip to either Lakeside of Bluewater to get some ideas for Christmas Gifts along with Coffee and Cake seems rather appealing.

(((Hugs))) to our good morning friends in need, particularly dear Baggs ?‍♀️?

Wyllow3 Thu 13-Oct-22 08:01:46

baubles - intend to read healing for relative!

Grandmadinosaur Thu 13-Oct-22 08:01:54

Good morning from East Yorkshire. I woke up with the alarm then slept for another hour.

Yesterday I caught up with housework in the morning. I also made a delicious soup and in the afternoon went to a matinee performance at a local theatre. It was good in parts but got a little lost among the way. I read a couple of reviews after the event and they had felt the same as myself about it.

I plans today except GS here after school. I’d like to go to a local PYO who have a twilight pumpkin picking and snacks like hot dogs etc. DH isn’t too keen as he’s feeling a little under the weather this week.

? for GM Baubles and anyone else who needs them.

Good luck all with medical doings today.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 13-Oct-22 08:02:32

* No plans

Gingster Thu 13-Oct-22 08:05:20

Good morning all and after lots of beautiful days, I think we’re in for a drizzly one.

Taking DD for her scan this morning and have everything crossed that things are going well ! I will drop her off as it will be a long session, have a quick lunch with my old work friends and pick her up when she calls me.

I have to pick DGD up from school and have her overnight. She can’t be with her mum as Dd has to have a dye injected before the PET scan and sit in a room on her own for half an hour. Radioactive!

GM a bitter/sweet day for you. Happy memories ?.

Loupylou I love a harp. I always wanted to learn. Do you play yourself?

Hope all poorlies are feeling better today.
Sad times for some grans. ?.

Love to all?

ginny Thu 13-Oct-22 08:12:25

Good morning.
At home this morning. I must make a chocolate sponge and prepare batter for Toad in the hole.
DGSs 2 &3 are here for dinner this evening and overnight as Mummy and Daddy have to go to London. Will have youngest from midday and do school collection. Then get him to school in the morning.
MIL will be here today as well. I’ll need a quiet day tomorrow !
I’ve not yet read through the thread but hope the day goes well for all.

Nannagarra Thu 13-Oct-22 08:17:28

As Gala says, it’s misty here in Sefton as I bid you good morning.
Glad all is going well Mick.
Membrillo is my favourite grandMattie. Your positive outlook, many talents and constant industry leave me in awe.
Enjoy Thursday.

Taichinan Thu 13-Oct-22 08:17:29

Good morning all. An early start for me, and lovely to see the sunrise - blue sky with peachy clouds. 4° and a slight frost on the Angus coast.
Hello Emma. Where are you from? And what's the weather like?
Happy Anniversary grandmattie - death does indeed part our bodies, but not our hearts ❤️
It's all happening Mick - soon be over. Hope all goes well today
And happy birthday to Wolfie!
I took my friend for a drive up country yesterday as it turned into a beautiful afternoon. We had our 'tea and sticky buns' in one if my favourite eateries near the entrance to the glens - it didn't disappoint.
Today is tai chi, and then the rest of the day is my own to put together a new Shark stick cordless vacuum which arrived yesterday evening and is presently sitting here in its many component parts. How I wish things came ready-built! And I also have to make the acquaintance of two new potplants. I'm not very good at remembering to water and spray appropriately, but I'm determined that this time I will be successful!
I shall pop back in to read the rest of the news later, but meanwhile have the best day everyone x

Georgesgran Thu 13-Oct-22 08:29:12

Good morning from a lovely, bright Durham. There’s been a frost overnight.
Meeting a couple of ex-colleagues for lunch today, then I’ll see if my friend is up to visiting her husband in hospital. He’s post-op, but she has a heavy cold and sore throat, so hasn’t seen him yet.
Thinking of those with GP/Hospital appointments today, I hope you get the results you want.

monk08 Thu 13-Oct-22 08:34:15

Good morning all from the Black country were I can see a few bits of blue in the sky.
Shopping today and we've had a reminder about car service and MOT so need to sort paperwork and make arrangements.
Hope all goes well for those with hospital appointments and procedures.
? grandMattie
Best wishes anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Take care everyone and may you all find some ?.

aggie Thu 13-Oct-22 08:37:22

Good morning everyone from Co Armagh where the sun is breaking through the morning mist , very autumnal, the reds and oranges in the leaves are positively glowing
I was up early enjoying the peace after a coughing fit !
flowers for GrandMattie Baubles Bags and prayers for all troubled friends

Stilllearning Thu 13-Oct-22 08:45:37

Morning from a beautiful autumnal S Lanarkshire. I am spending the day with DD4 who hasn’t been well for several weeks now so a lovely day out is in order.. Actually all of my daughters who have had Covid in the past have been quite unwell with a dreadful cough, real tiredness and spiking temperatures. They haven’t been in touch with each other and we’re beginning to wonder if it could be yet another post Covid complication.

I meant to say hello yesterday to another S Lanarkshire gran, I haven’t seen you posting before Mogsmaw but I might just have missed you.

I do hope your daughter’s checks go well today Gingster.

Prayers and thoughts to all on here who have so much terrible sorrow to contend with just now.

Taichinan I have every sympathy with your task. I bought a shoe rack last week ‘no tools required’ and I am now looking a about a hundred parts and a small piece of paper with four pictures, none of which make the slightest sense to me. So in addition to a pile of shoes lying about I have a pile of ‘bits’ and a sense of doom!

Good wishes to everyone ???

BlueBalou Thu 13-Oct-22 08:49:45

Good morning everyone from murky Wiltshire, a mucky dog walk this morning ?, plenty of mud and puddles.
I’m taking some rings to a jewellers this morning for either redesigning or enlarging, not sure which. I will probably have a coffee somewhere too!
Hugs for all who need one ??

hollysteers Thu 13-Oct-22 08:55:25

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
I’m off on a little sentimental trip this morning to where I used to have a caravan fifty miles away. The site has been redeveloped for large static homes and I’ll visit some of the pretty spots around there and have lunch.
Hope all goes well Mick.
I was late catching up with Baggs dreadful news and my thoughts are with her and her family.

harrigran Thu 13-Oct-22 08:56:28

Good morning from a sunny NE where it is 5 degrees.
I am hoping we didn't have frost last night as I didn't cover the outside tap.
Yesterday was spent sorting more paperwork, utility bills 20 years old, why did he keep them all. I am beginning to think that it was a ploy to keep me busy after he went ?
Happy Birthday to Wolfie, can't believe he is four already.
Hope you have an okay day kitty.
Thoughts are with all who have trials and tribulations, have the best day you can.

Kalu Thu 13-Oct-22 09:17:25

Good morning all from a chilly but sunny Glasgow.

I was relieved to hear your relative has come around Baubles. Only someone in the depths of despair would decide to give up. I sincerely hope their cry for help is answered with the right medical support to help them go forward.
A poignant day for you GM ?
Hoping you catch up on much needed sleep kitty I can’t believe Wondrous Wolfie is 4 already! Happy Birthday Wolfie?.
I did a quick M&S food shop yesterday , one item I shop for is truffle gouda, delicious cheese sauce or melted cheese toast.
I then found truffle mashed potato, I couldn’t resist despite feeling ridiculous buying ready made mashed potato! Shopping at local markets in Provence during truffle season, November, was an annual outing for myself and a few friends when we lived there. Still haven’t found any in our local farmers markets in Scotland!?

Best wishes to all for a good day and a better day with gentle hugs for all who are going through troubling times.
Dear Baggs is constantly in my thoughts.
