Good Morning Sunday 16th October 2022

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Not a cloud in the sky. Up to 17° later. I'm just about to get some washing on the line and get to the bottom of the ironing basket. The last of the summer clothes are finally hung in the spare room wardrobe.
I still have a sore arm after my Covid jab on Friday but haven't felt ill.
Off out for a walk later as I'm determined to keep my steps up. I feel so much better for it.

Morning Mick, morning All. They sky is clearing over our corner of Somerset.

Pleased I ‘encouraged’ myself to go to the volunteer meeting yesterday, it was good to meet others who are new to the work. Mr C ‘encouraged’ a shopping trip in the afternoon. Pleased as I found the coat I’d been searching for, less pleased at having to constantly find a seat when exhaustion hit.

Quiet one today. Roast beef later, some computer time as I’m so behind with emails to friends who will think I’ve disappeared.

I’m pleased I never remember my dreams urms, not unsettled in the way you have been. What a shame about the tv ash, excellent service from your supplier though. I would think your DL was exhausted after that input grandmattie if fortunate to have the informed advice. Your Joseph has reminded me of the knitted figures and small toys my Mum produced. She was an inveterate user upper of left over wool and produced an unending supply of little things for our children, usually without a pattern. Sadly I left it to her, now I wish I’d taken the time to learn from her.

Covid jab yesterday and so far so good, I took two paracetamol last night, so my arm did not bother me

I am going to tidy one small drawer in my bedroom today, need to get rid of ood `just in case` medications. Other than that I am just relaxing with knitting today, need to give this body time for the vax to work.

I bought some heavy compost from my local hardware/garden centre, on the way back and they will remain in my car until I am ready this week. I love the old style service here, they do all the lifting into my car

Walking with a friend today which often means picking up a coffee and sitting in the park.

DD2 is coming for Sunday lunch. A treat as we have a nice piece of beef to roast. Yorkies too.
Maybe a gentle stroll and then carry on with the decorations for the C****** tree festival.

Good morning everyone (including Joseph) from south Manchester where it’s dry with a pale pink sky coming up behind the Pennines.

We have a busy couple of hours later emptying everything from our bedroom and bathroom into this room as the decorator is coming to do them when we are away. Mind you, easy street later, as yesterday we booked a table in a new place up the road for a Sunday roast this afternoon. Thought we’d give it a whirl as they only opened on Wednesday.

I’ve loaded our book club read on my Kindle ready for our meeting next month when I’m back. It’s ‘Burnt Sugar’ by Avni Doshi, a new author for me. (Which is why I love book club!). What are you reading that you’re enjoying?

I had a dream last night about a new baby. He was very heavy when I held him so I passed him over for Himself to carry. My tiny superstitious mind hopes this dream doesn’t herald the news of a death. Silly I know, how it’s unsettled me.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I can hear my granddaughter so I guess it won’t be long before we’re all up! They are going to a nearby folly this morning but OH will still be in bed and I’ll be finishing off a batch of lemon ice cream which granddaughter will help me with. We’re having a monster leg of lamb for lunch so that has to be sorted too. I told granddaughter she can pick the Rosemary from our new herb garden. When they’ve all gone back to London I have some WI admin to do. Also, it is our neighbour’s funeral tomorrow so need to sort out what to wear. The family are asking for us to wear something brightly coloured. Have a good Sunday everyone.

I’m up early as we’re off to Edinburgh soon to meet up with DS and his partner who are over from Switzerland for the weekend. It’ll be a lot better than our usual Sunday morning FaceTime call. We’re meeting up for a late Sunday lunch and a glass or two of wine I expect. We’re coming home tomorrow so we can have a nice relaxing afternoon and evening

Good morning all and it’s dry and very still here in Essex.
I duly had my jabs yesterday afternoon. I was an hour early, but , no problem, straight in and out in under 5 minutes. Two sore arms but so far, so good!

DS2 is due at 8 o’clock for his ‘full Monty’ breakfast. It will be lovely to catch-up with all his news. He went out last night with his brother and all their old pals. Stayed at a friends house and after breakfast will be heading off home to Hertfordshire.

I must read my ‘book club’ book today as the meeting is on Friday and my week is looking busy. I’ve started and it’s looking good.

Roast chicken for dinner and a relaxing day ?.

Little DGD went to her pumpkin picking day and had a great time. Crafts, pumpkins galore, and meeting the animals on the farm.

Good morning from a dawning, dry E Kent.
I took a sleeping pill last night which is why I am late. I took a couple of paracetamol before the jab, as suggested by Ash, then had a very quiet day.
Dl.’s friend came to give physio advice and exercised her for nearly two hours. We were both exhausted - but she was so good, giving a whole load of exercises and explanations as to what as being strengthened and why.
I have finished my knitted Joseph, done baby Jesus and well on the way with Mary - she looks most peculiar, being a seated figure.
Have a day full of blessings. Carpe diem ???

Good morning from Oxfordshire, haven’t looked to see what the weather is doing yet.
MissOops dog jumped onto her bed in the night and landed on her bad leg, not a good way to wake up for any of us, some pills later and she is ok, we must put the walker against the bed in future, to keep the pooch away from bad leg.
Apart from that not a lot going on, everything on hold for at least couple of weeks, but I get out with the dog for her walks, so I am getting some exercise ( not much). What a nuisance Ash as you say good service from your local supplier.

Good morning, still dark outside but no sound of rain.

I was wide awake before 5.00am and couldn’t get back to sleep so decided to get up rather than toss and turn in bed. I came downstairs, had a coffee and read my latest book. Thankfully nothing on the agenda today and now that I am half asleep, I’m off, back up to bed. Very lazy day ahead, busy doing nothing.

Good morning from a dry (so far!) Torbay.

My TV was brought yesterday morning as promised but didn’t work!! The lovely chap said it’s only the second time this has happened to him in 18 years! The supplier is just round the corner from where I live so he popped back to fetch a (non smart) TV for me to borrow until a replacement can be ordered. I doubt I’d have received that kind of offer from one of the ”big boys”!

Church this morning then to visit my good friend and ex-neighbour who has now settled in another flat nearby.
