Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and looks cold outside here in brackley this morning .
Today , I will have a breakfast with a difference no caffeine , due to my appointment at the Churchill in Oxford on the Exercise bike , the appointment should last an hour with bike lasting 10 minutes where they like a treadmill increase pressure as though going uphill, I looked at the video of what they and breathing apparatus also used .
Otherwise it will be a break from my routine , I also contacted my Doctor as to giving a update ,and he will ring me in over a weeks time to catch up on where I am as I did tell him as to what changes as to poo colour etc .
Take Care,
Mick

Too late for Good morning. It has just stopped raining here in West Sussex and a blue sky has appeared.

I woke up with a headache and all over aches. Coffee and a paracetamol have helped a bit. Packing for a weekend away with DD, DSiL, DGDs age 7 and 3. Should be lively ?

Thoughts with all coping with illness, their own or family/friends and those with sad anniversary. ?*Harrigran*. Auntieflo hope you feel better and enjoy your time away.

Thinking of you today harrigran

I was amazed to read a year had passed since you lost your DH. ?

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Hope your cycling goes well Mick and everything moves forward without hindrance.
I’m full of cold and irritated as I must cancel art tomorrow and an important rehearsal, which means putting band members out and rearranging more run throughs for next gig.

My neighbour has told me a tree is in a troublesome leaning position at the side of the house against my sitting room wall, but I haven’t even bothered to look as the pounding head etc is sending me back to bed. My gardener/handyman will hopefully sort it.
I received my legacy from my dear late BIL yesterday, very kind and very useful.
Thoughts to grandmattie and anyone with troubles.

Thinking of you today harrigran. x

Best wishes to the ShazzaK’s! Sounds as though you have a lovely day and evening planned.

Happy Anniversary Shazza and MrKanazza enjoy your meals??

Auntieflo Thu 20-Oct-22 10:27:00

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
Yesterday I had my 4 weekly infusion at hospital and was given my next 21 days worth of chemo tablets. Then an X ray to try and pin down the pain and weakness in my upper arm. All accomplished in record time, so my volunteer driver did not have to wait too long for me to be finished.
Today I had thought we might go for a drive somewhere, but the weather is miserable and I don't feel too great.
Tomorrow DD is coming for coffee and bringing supplies from the Cook Shop. I also have a small pile of things for her to take back home. If she can fit them in her Smart car!
Saturday, we have DS, DIL and GS visiting. I'm not sure if they will want to stay overnight, but am prepared if they do. No doubt we will find something for them to do and GS will wear us out with his abundance of energy.
Monday sees DGD and DGGS here for a flying visit. It all comes at once doesn't it.
As we are going away for a short break soon, I am trying to save up some energy. Would be nice to bottle some from DGS.
? for Harrigran.
Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Shazza.
GrandMattie, I do hope that your DL is not exhausting you.

Have a good day one and all.

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 20-Oct-22 10:26:16

Good morning from a very wet Oxfordshire, Mick hope your appointment goes well.
GM your DL has so much to be grateful for in finding someone like you to care for her, although it doesn’t bode well for her when she moves out and is alone when she falls. Please don’t offer to stay with her until she ‘settles in’.
Mr and Mrs Shazza Happy Anniversary??
I was too late to post yesterday but here it’s much of the same, MissOops continues to progress and is up most of the day on the sofa with her leg on the large footstool, still on painkillers but she is getting a bit stir crazy, MrOops has promised to take her to her home tomorrow for a while, if he can slide her up and into the back of the car!
Apart from that it’s tidying up a spare room ready for MzOops and Master Oops who are arriving on Sunday, plus adding to the online shop, they are without an oven at home so are craving baked food, I have a list of their preferences ! Cheeky pair.
Anyway, let’s hope the sun comes out today, and hugs for those who aren’t feeling so chipper.

Morning everyone. Rain is pouring down here in Sherwood Nottingham. So dark. I thought l heard thunder earlier. Supposed to be going out for a meal with U3a don't really want to get soaking wet. I'd better get ready just in case it stops raining. Hope everyone has the best day they can.

aggie Thu 20-Oct-22 09:50:55

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Co Armagh, such a change from the thunder and lightning last night ,
Chair yoga was great yesterday at our Village club , but I think we need it oftener . It’s over two years since the tutor visited .
Nothing planned for today

Blossoming Thu 20-Oct-22 09:44:42

Good morning Mick and everyone. A cold, dark and gloomy morning in this corner of Lancashire. Hope your tests go well Mick.

No real plans for today, other than housework, Gaelic studies and physio exercises.

Happy Anniversary Shazza ??

Wishing everyone a good day and hope for some improvement for those with troubles, themselves and their family.

Good Morning from a dark, dank wet, N.,Cambs., ! Such a change from the lovely bright Autumnal days we've enjoyed recently.

We have the decorator/painter in this week doing our sitting room, the rest of the house is full of "stuff", hope to get straight before our DD & DGDs come to stay next week, (half-term).

Best wishes to Mick & all who have appointments this week.

Happy Anniversary ShazzaKanazza, wine

As others have said, take care of yourself grandMattie, you are such a good, caring friend to your DL.

Warm thoughts to you all, especially those with health worries for yourselves & your families.

Happy Anniversary *Mr & Mrs Shazza*?. Enjoy your special day.

luluaugust Thu 20-Oct-22 09:26:34

Good morning all from a very wet W Kent. Off to art group this morning and then a quiet day with the ironing, always a price to pay for going away!
Happy Anniversary Shazza hope the hair colour goes well.
Best wishes to all particularly those dealing with hospitals and medical stuff in general.

Good morning from a dreich, wet day in Glasgow.

Successful visit to and from Perthshire. I do this drive so often Marydoll my instincts take over plus I have a good supply of coffee, nibbles and Spotify as I tootle along.
Bits n bobs all done with, ?a little help from my friends??
All done in time to have lunch together then I headed home around 4.00pm. Mission accomplished.

You really are a saint GM, your friend is so lucky to have someone so caring in her time of need.
Enjoy your meet up in Edinburgh with your friend Grammarreto, a day to ‘yourself’ is a must now and again.
I have the afternoon to myself today - whoopee.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Granted not grant!

GrannySomerset Thu 20-Oct-22 09:24:10

Damp morning as I wait for hairdresser to come and tidy my thatch. Then a meeting about the children’s corner in church and later a trip to the village for a much needed facial, an occasional treat.

So sorry to read of DDs worryingly unwell. I can cope with life if the family is OK but it is so hard when there is little one can do. We take our health so much for grant

Anniebach Thu 20-Oct-22 09:24:02

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

BlueSapphire Thu 20-Oct-22 09:14:17

Sorry grandMattie meant DL, not DO!

EkwaNimitee Thu 20-Oct-22 09:12:40

Good morning Mick and everybody from rainy Carlisle.
Yesterday I had a wasted journey into town to post my Oz parcel. It was slightly too heavy to count as a small parcel so was going to cost megabucks to send even on the economy rates. The item itself is fractionally under the limit so any packaging is going to tip it over I suspect. It will have to wait until they or I travel over.
When I got home I decided I would wash the car prior to its service. More wasted effort. My troublesome digestion over the last day or two is worse and I have a temperature so I reluctantly cancelled the service, which would have entailed a longish drive there and back.
I'm going to have a quiet day, possibly pottering through some small jobs and definitely doing some sitting about reading.

Hello to you Vintagenonna, seems it's soggy far south as well as far north, of England that is.

Happy anniversary ShazzaKanazza and the best possible day to all.

Stilllearning Thu 20-Oct-22 09:07:15

Morning from a cloudier but still dry Connel. That’s funny Marydoll about your DiL’s sister, Scotland really is a village.
DD’s in laws live in the village of Connel while she and family live over the bridge in what DGS calls ‘ the independent state of North Connel’?!

Lovely day together yesterday, the children are really great company. With all the goings on in Westminster I introduced them to my interest in politics but was very careful to stick to noncommittal facts as DD and I have rather different views and I don’t want to ‘get into trouble’!

Sending kind thoughts to all and?to harrigran.

I hope you didn’t get too much off your glorious hair*baubles*!

Good morning from Durham. Thank you for your good wishes yesterday re DD2. I visited and she was only so-so, seems on continuous drips of painkillers and antibiotics, but foot and leg still massive and red. Her veins are very fine and have popped under pressure, so she’s covered in holes as they reinsert the cannulas. At least DGS2 is improving, but still taking his meds after his emergency visit to the same hospital on Sunday. See what today brings.

Friend’s birthday yesterday. She showed me her letter from her hospital appointment last week - it makes grim reading and she’ll have to tell her DH soon, even though he’s barely 5 days home from his own serious operation.

Coffee and offload to a friend this morning, then I’ll visit DD2 early afternoon and DD1 needs me to collect DGS1 from school.

gM indeed you are a Saint.
?*Harri - although my DH said he’d had a good life and did all he wanted, the ‘anniversaries’ are very difficult. His 72nd birthday looms.

I haven’t looked at GN properly, so I’ll just send best wishes to all.

Chrissielou Thu 20-Oct-22 09:03:12

I'm working at home today but have the afternoon off to make DD1's birthday cake for her celebration party on Saturday. Its a wet day here so the perfect afternoon to spend baking. I'm also doing 2 Christmas cakes at the weekend, I can just imagine the gas meter whirling around hmm I'm trying to use the air fryer as much as possible but it's not big enough for these bakes.
Have a good day and I hope you all find some sunshine.

brook2704 Thu 20-Oct-22 08:58:31

harrigran ❤️ for you today
