Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and looks cold outside here in brackley this morning .
Today , I will have a breakfast with a difference no caffeine , due to my appointment at the Churchill in Oxford on the Exercise bike , the appointment should last an hour with bike lasting 10 minutes where they like a treadmill increase pressure as though going uphill, I looked at the video of what they and breathing apparatus also used .
Otherwise it will be a break from my routine , I also contacted my Doctor as to giving a update ,and he will ring me in over a weeks time to catch up on where I am as I did tell him as to what changes as to poo colour etc .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a still dark E Kent.
I was woken up by a phone call from DL downstairs to say she’d fallen. I rushed down to find her on the floor, having split a couple of inches of her scar and bleeding a little. Managed to pick her up, I lifted, she pushed with her remaining leg. I then had to clean up the wound, dress it, calm her down, clean the carpet… all before 0530.
She’s got two visits today, one from the Social Services and the other from a physiotherapist. I have Spanish this morning but I’m now not sure I should go. I’ll see how she is.
All the best to everyone. Carpe diem. ???❤️

Morning all from a dark West Oxfordshire. I have to get up soon as John Lewis are sending someone to take the doors off our wardrobes! OH has been unable to take anything out since July so has been wearing a very limited, much washed set of clothes. At some point new doors will be fitted. My doors are ok, but I will have new ones so they match. What a palaver! I had my bone density scan yesterday. Very non-invasive. Ultrasound scan on Saturday and that should be it until I see a dermatologist in January. I am seeing friends tonight which will be a nice change from hospitals! Have a good day everyone. Will it be another bumper day of political shenanigans?I’d put money on it.

Good Morning everyone from a dark Severnside.

I’m up earlier as I accepted a 9am cancellation for physio yesterday. I’ll probably take things easy when I come home as I feel a little anxious.

I was intrigued by your soap felting GrannySomerset. I’d not heard of it so I watched a ‘you tube’. I might give it a go.

Hope everyone’s day goes well ?

Sar53 Thu 20-Oct-22 06:40:45

Good morning from Essex by the sea, I believe heavy rain is forecast for later.
DH and I had our boosters yesterday. He feels fine, as usual, I feel like I 've been run over by a steamroller. Hopefully I'll feel better as the day goes on.
I have a dental appointment at 9, so need to get that over with so I can come home and collapse.
I hope you have a more relaxing day GM.
Enjoy your day everyone xx

Good morning, from a dry Torbay but my weather App says there’s a 100% chance of rain! A change from the windy conditions yesterday.

My new smart TV was delivered and set up successfully yesterday by the engineer from a local shop, (he walked round with the set!) who is a very affable young man with whom I’ve dealt over many years. He was pleased I knew my password for BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, etc., as customers often don't, apparently. (He was too polite to say elderly ones!!)

Good luck with the treadmill, Mick! Could it be the iron tablets affecting the colour of your stools? It happens.

What a shame that your DL had a fall, grandMattie! I don’t know how you cope, especially when your sleep is disturbed. I do hope this situation is resolved soon. Please take care of yourself.

It sounds like you’re being thoroughly investigated, Ladyleftfieldover! My DH has osteoporosis and has to stay in France until just before my operation on Hallowe’en to fulfil an appointment with his specialist.

Speaking of my surgery, today I have an appointment at M & S for a bra fitting as I must buy soft, non-wired ones with front fastenings to wear night and day after the operation. Apparently, this is to reduce the potential strain on the chest muscles.

I hope everyone finds something to cheer them today. It certainly won’t be in the corridors of power!! ?????

BlueBalou Thu 20-Oct-22 07:09:29

Good morning everyone, it’s bucketing down here. I can hear it from my cosy bed where I’m enjoying a coffee.
Lots of bits to do today before DS and family arrive tomorrow, so looking forward to seeing them all again.
My get up and go is flagging so not planning anything much else today ??

ShazzaKanazza Thu 20-Oct-22 07:11:29

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s forecast a day of rain here today.

Best wishes today for your hospital visit Mick.

grandMattie ? you are a very special lady. Your friend is very lucky you are there for her.

Today is our 38th wedding anniversary so this morning I’m getting my hair done, it’s my full head colour today. I don’t want it to go much darker though. They messaged a reminder yesterday to ask if I could pay cash and it’s gone up by ten pounds! But I suppose everything has. I’m treating DH to lunch out somewhere today. Tonight he is treating me to a meal at the casino. He’s a treasure.

Have a good day everyone and hope all medical appointments go well.
Virtual hugs to those who aren’t well today ??

GrannyGravy13 Thu 20-Oct-22 07:12:01

Morning all

Still dark, thank you for the weather forecast Sar53 saves me having to check. If my experience of the booster is anything to go by you should feel better in 24 hours.

grandMattie your lodger is so lucky to have a friend like you, but please take care of yourself ?

I am going out with one of my oldest friends this evening I have known her since our eldest children were a couple of months old. It’s just us two, so we can matter on, not worrying about including DH ?

Hope all goes well Mick ,

Have your best day folks ?‍♀️?

Grandmadinosaur Thu 20-Oct-22 07:15:33

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s still dark. I think a few showers are expected today.

Had a good shop in Leeds yesterday. Stocked up on undies and tights in M&S, bought a few bits in John Lewis and a few festive items in Hotel Chocolat as I had an early bird discount on my VIP card. I’ll have to hide those somewhere.

Today I need to do a small shop at Sainsburys then I’m going to a matinee at our local theatre this afternoon.

Hope all goes well today Mick

What a to do GM with your lodger I do t know how you cope with it all either especially dealing with sleep disturbance.

Take care everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 20-Oct-22 07:16:16

My hairdressers have out the prices up too.

cornergran Thu 20-Oct-22 07:22:11

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks dry after some overnight rain, there are puddles.

Will be out and about this morning before an afternoon of phone calls. Stress under control but it does feel very pressured.

Be careful with lifting grandmattie, your lodger is very lucky to have you to help her. A very happy anniversary to you both shazza, sounds a good day ahead. Enjoy your tv ash, I’ll. not a tell you how long it took us to get to grips with ours grin.

Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Taichinan Thu 20-Oct-22 07:24:00

Good morning all from a very dark, grey and rainy Angus coast. Up early for tai chi class, but after a night of very little sleep I don't think there's anything much else going to be achieved. A visit to Tesco on the way home, and that will be it.
Took my friend out for our usual afternoon cuppa and decided to go up country again while we can. The autumn colours are magnificent this year, the beech trees in particular. ???
There are so many appointments and procedures for people in here just now. I hope all goes well for everyone. Grandmattie you are a saint as usual.
Have the best day you can all x

BlueSapphire Thu 20-Oct-22 07:25:59

Good morning everyone from a very damp Northampton, with rain forecast all day. An early delivery from Sainsbury's, then dance classes this afternoon. Glad I put some washing out yesterday!

Nothing else planned, except all the usual pottering, and after that hope to finish my book club read; must order next month's book.

Oh dear grandMattie, an early awakening for you; hope you manage to get a nap in at some time today, and that your DO doesn't have any more falls.

Wishes for a good day for all.

kittylester Thu 20-Oct-22 07:28:58

Good morning all from a dark and wet North Leicestershire.

Sainsbury's delivery this morning and DH has a drive this afternoon.

Taichinan Thu 20-Oct-22 07:29:35

Happy Anniversary Shazza!

Gingster Thu 20-Oct-22 07:40:13

Good morning all and it’s very mild here in Essex but , as Sar says , we are due heavy rain later. Like you I had a rough day after my jabs but Dh was absolutely fine after his.. ?.

This morning Dh is having breakfast with his two old school pals, so I will be dropped off at one of the wives to have coffee with her.

I’ll finish off my book club book this afternoon as it’s our meetup tomorrow.

OH GM. ! Keep strong! ?.

Happy anniversary Mr and MRS Shazza. Enjoy your day together ?. ?.

Good day to you all, whatever it brings. ?

Abitbarmy Thu 20-Oct-22 07:41:30

Good morning everyone from a dark and dreary North Yorkshire where rain is forecast for much of the day. OH out all day again doing his volunteer driving. Gardening won’t get done with the weather but plenty of indoor jobs on the list. Must note down what to mention to GP ready for tomorrow’s telephone appointment then I don’t forget to relate some symptoms. Best of luck to all for today and hope you make it to Spanish grandMattie

Greyduster Thu 20-Oct-22 07:50:20

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Just getting light in South Yorkshire. Hope the tests go well today, Mick! I slept badly last night. A lot on my mind at the moment. I have a marathon stint at a nearby hospital today, having an assessment for a hip replacement. DD has insisted on coming with me. It will be a long day for her as I have to have all sorts of tests. If she gets fed up, there’s a garden centre nearby or she could go home to mine and pick me up later! I would!
Happy anniversary Shazza??!
Have the best day you can folks.

dragonfly46 Thu 20-Oct-22 07:50:32

Good morning from a dark misty Leicestershire - I can’t see the hills from my bedroom window.

Popping into town this morning but may go alone if it is raining then NWR here this evening discussing my favourite subject - food.

Happy Anniversary Shazza and thinking about all those with worries and pain.

Urmstongran Thu 20-Oct-22 07:51:24

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from a very misty Málaga. Oo-er mother. We will go out at some stage even if it’s just to eat this evening. Our two tapas bars downstairs will be buzzing tonight as Barcelona are playing so if we want a table we need to shimmy in before 9pm.

I’ve started a great new novel last night, called ‘One Last Time’ by a Norwegian writer called Helga Flatland. It has been translated into English by .... (I can’t remember). Anyway it’s my kind of book, family dynamics and I’m itching to crack on with it today. I’ve realised how much I read when I’m out here. The tv hasn’t been on yet. At home I do a lot of catch up of programmes.

Hope your exercise appointment goes well today Mick.
grandMattie your dear lodger will be shaken up today and it will have brought home to her just how vulnerable she is. Maybe once she’s living independently in her new flat she will move about much more cautiously.

karmalady Thu 20-Oct-22 07:52:09

good morning from s somerset. Last night the forecast said dry so a big wash of bedding was on timer to finish about now. It is raining, drat.

brook2704 Thu 20-Oct-22 07:53:52

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold and raining, hoping it brightens up later
Happy Anniversary to Shazza enjoy your celebrations today ???
Nothing much planned for today but I have got lots of housework to keep me busy.
Oh gMattie sorry to hear about your DL fall and such a disturbed night, please look after yourself too, you must be exhausted
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

baubles Thu 20-Oct-22 08:00:10

Good morning all from soggy South Lanarkshire.

It’s our day of not quite childminding as DDoutL is still on Maternity leave so we just help out a bit. Not sure what we’ll do with the children in the rain, not the best school holiday weather.

Look after yourselves and have the best day possible.
