Rowen Atkinson because he is so clever and somehow endearing
Charles 11 too because he was intriguing and I would love to know if he stayed in my lane
Alice in wonderland because she had the introduction to magic
And Maw who seems to me to be an asset to this site

William Shakespeare - just to compliment him on his genius

I'm somewhat unsophisticated in my dinner party companions and because I like children and animals, I would choose:
1. David Attenborough- fascinating
2. Anne Frank because I admire her tenacity, her optimism and her writing
3. Peter Pan for the secret of never growing up
4. Any GNettter who has a sense of humour and likes to discuss good wine

Romesh Ranganathen, I like his humour,

Vincent Vangogh, to tell him he became a success,

Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights, I do like a dark brooding character.

Maw, for me too, common sense, humour and comes across as genuine.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 24-Oct-22 18:14:40

Gyles Brandreth, he just makes me smile

Elizabeth I , I would love to know what made her tick

Rupert Campbell-Black (Jilly Cooper main character running through all her books) I have had a crush on him since I read Riders many moons ago.

Urmstongran who always seems happy and living her best life.

Let’s have a virtual GN dinner party, you are allowed one celebrity, one historical character, one fictional character and finally a GN member you have never met.

I will start, Graham Norton will be my celebrity because he will keep the conversation going.
My historical character will be Jane Austen as she was a woman ahead of her time and I sense someone with great powers of observation.
My fictional character is Charles Ryder from Brideshead Revisited. I have so many questions!
My final GN guest will be Maw because she won’t take any
