Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning .
Yesterday went to plan with coming back via Buckingham , but not seeing anyone I have got to know.
Plans today usual bus to Bicester , tempted to get a haircut whilst there but as to health I seem to be able to walk further without getting breathless.
Take Care,
Mick

Very late today, work dramas to contend with. Just want to say very best wishes to Kalu I know how stressful and anxiety inducing it is. I hope the news is good.

Good morning Mick and all from a breezy northwest coast.
Off soon to lunchtime recital, but I’m very tired as there are things going on every day, shouldn’t complain, but I haven’t the energy I used to have.
I was ‘on the desk’ at the music club yesterday and we had a nice variety of music (and poetry) with the return of a professional violinist, which upped the game. I sang but still was conscious of frogs wanting to join in after my cold.
I also help to clear everything away and wash up, so fell asleep in the chair in the evening.
Thoughts to Kalu and anyone else with troubles.

Every good wish to you Megs and to Kalu for her H.
We are living in very unsettled times and a personal worry seems magnified,
Lots of good and healing vibes to you all.

Lung. Biopsy on Friday, anyone had one? Family will accompany me and husband stay home alone, a friend may pop on and make him a cuppa. Cheers all who need them

Good morning again, just back with a little insight into the workings of our Drs surgery. DH had received a text saying he must book a shingles jab, he phoned and the receptionist gave him an appointment. He turned up this morning, got as far as the nurse who said no he had one 9 years ago and so couldn't have another, so a wasted appointment. Apparently the text was a round robin and relied on 79 year olds remembering whether they have ever taken a shingles jab. DH's was 2013.
O'h dear.

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 02-Nov-22 10:37:43

Fingers crossed
Kalu

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cool and cloudy in my corner of Lancashire.

Today’s plan is housework, physio, cycling and Gaelic. The Gaelic lessons are going very well, I’m also watching the excellent ‘Speaking our Language’ lessons on YouTube, they were recommended to me by a fellow Gransnetter.

I haven’t read the thread yet, just want to send best wishes to Kalu flowers

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining.

My domestic goddess has appeared this morning and I have just taken a batch of chocolate brownies out of the oven. They smell gorgeous, I only hope they taste as good.

DD2 has started her first job in over ten years this morning. I have my fingers crossed that all goes well for her. Both girls are now at school and it is only three days a week so hopefully there will be no problems.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ash is doing well.

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone, much love xxx

GrannyGravy13 Wed 02-Nov-22 09:37:41

Good morning from a hazy NE, much cooler than of late.
Lovely day with DD and SIL, had a vegetarian lunch which was delicious.
We spent the afternoon at a shopping outlet and I managed to purchase a birthday gift for my sister, some seasonal cards and some trousers.
After tea we watched The Good nurse on Netflix, really enjoyed the film.
DD is coming this morning and we will do the grocery shop.
Best wishes to Ashcombe 💐

Good morning Mick, grandmattie and all from a lovely clear-skied Angus coast. It was 12° on the hall thermostat when I came downstairs so the heating is on for its morning one hour boost. How I give thanks for my floor-length "oodie" - it's amazingly cosy, particularly with the hood up. I don't care what I look like!
Glad to hear that Ash has come through her op and wish her a speedy recovery, made easier by having old dudders with her again.
Kalu my thoughts and heart are with you today 💐
I went to see DD yesterday, and she's definitely on the mend - becoming decidedly fed up with herself and therefore me!
I took those pesky 1 and 7 balloons to her for DGD's 17th on Friday. I opened the boot carefully, took hold of both the strings and the weights - and I'm sorry, nay furious, to say that 7 made a successful bid for freedom, leaving me with just the string!! I didn't even see it go, and there has been no sign of it since 😡. The most angry-making and frustrating thing was there was absolutely nothing I could do!
Oh well, on the grand scale of things it doesn't even figure as a blip.
Today is the day I usually take my friend out for a drive, but the forecast is dire for this afternoon so we have deferred it until Friday which is forecast to be lovely 🤞. I think I shall get on with domestic tasks this morning and reward myself with another boost of the heating in front of afternoon TV later. Be still, my beating heart!
So sorry to hear of all the tales of difficulties, particularly in accessing doctors. That feels so wrong, doesn't it.
Have the best day you can everyone x

Nannagarra Wed 02-Nov-22 08:42:34

Good morning from Sefton where it is dry and bright.
DS’s birthday today. As it’s Wednesday we’ll have fun with the DGC. The Ring doorbell, which misbehaved on Hallowe’en, has decided to work again.
Thinking of Ashcombe and all others who need healing vibes.
Whatever your plans, have the best day.
🌸

Good morning all from a wet underfoot Sefton but it has stopped raining. A late start for me this morning, unusually I have slept uninterrupted for at least 8 hours. Now feel very groggy but my morning zoom exercise class will no doubt sort that out. No plans for the rest of the day. Must get cracking. Will come back & read all the goings on later with a cup of coffee & a naughty biscuit
Take care.

Stilllearning Wed 02-Nov-22 08:31:00

Kalu, meant to say fingers very much crossed.

Stilllearning Wed 02-Nov-22 08:29:00

Good morning from S Lanarkshire, still dry and calm but not going to stay that way evidently.

I forgot to take my iPad to DD’s on Monday, so couldn’t post yesterday but guising with DGS went well and I got to say the long unused here, ‘Roses are red, apples are green, please give us our Halloween’ although he insisted on adding the horrible ‘Trick or treat’ as well.

Today it’s Exercise class and coffee catch up as usual but I’m slightly concerned about the weather forecast re rain and high winds. I might take the train.

DD3 called last night in high dudgeon about the ending of ‘All the Light You Cannot See’ which I had strongly recommended to her! I should have warned her about the ending which, to be fair, I had found disappointing too! Great book though.

You’ll be looking forward to your renewed childminding days Grandmabatty, enjoy, the time goes past so quickly doesn’t it?

As always, thinking about our poorly and wishing everyone the best day possible 🦩🦩🦩

EkwaNimitee Wed 02-Nov-22 08:22:12

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle where high winds and rain are forecast around lunchtime.
I have to go out, my car is getting its annual service and its first MOT, and it's an hours drive down the west coast. I am so far sticking to my old garage which we have been with for countless years. It will be windy down there for sure!

Thinking of Ash and hoping she is getting on well.

Have a good day all.

ShazzaKanazza Wed 02-Nov-22 08:20:45

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull it’s a bright morning.

Kalu what a nervous few hours you have this morning. Really hoping your DHs phone call brings positive news💐

Grandmadinosaur enjoy your show in Leeds.

I had a lovely visit to Mum with my girls yesterday. Had a usual giggle especially when my Mum came out with her usual mantra ‘it’ll see me out’ and DD rolling her eyes and saying ‘oh Grandma what are you like’
Had super snuggles with the GDs.
Today I really need to do some dusting. This afternoon picking up GS from school and DS will stay for tea when he picks him up. We haven’t seen them since GDs party on Saturday.

Have a good day everyone and hoping those with family stress and worries have some respite today🌻🌻

luluaugust Wed 02-Nov-22 08:16:56

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. After a busy day yesterday socialising its off to the Drs this morning for DH to have his shingles jab.
I hope all those waiting for Drs and results get some news.
Best wishes to all
