Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning .
Yesterday went to plan with coming back via Buckingham , but not seeing anyone I have got to know.
Plans today usual bus to Bicester , tempted to get a haircut whilst there but as to health I seem to be able to walk further without getting breathless.
Take Care,
Mick

Kalu and Mr Kalu, I will be thinking of you. 💐

I rang the surgery at 8am and am 34th in the queue!!!

GrannySomerset Wed 02-Nov-22 08:08:23

After a noisy night this morning is calm and golden though the forecast is less enticing. Visit from the chiropodist this morning, singing this afternoon and then history society this evening, the first meeting for two years. This feels like a busy day but doesn’t compare with grandMattie who is surely a candidate for canonisation!

Good morning from a slightly brighter Black Country.

Busy day yesterday. Gym, then on bus to Wolverhampton to meet Mum then DS for lunch. Mum got confused, she had gone into town, then home as she thought I was meeting her at her house. Then realised I was meeting her in town so got back on bus into town! DS got soaked walking to the cafe in his suit as he had no brolly or overcoat!! I lent him my brolly to go back to the office.

Today I am off to Birmingham to meet a group of friends for lunch. It is lovely to go on train there for free with my senior pass smile . Can use it on any train journey in the West Midlands.

Hoping Ash is recovering well. Thoughts and best wishes with her and her DH.

Fingers firmly crossed for your DH Kalu

Grandmabatty Wed 02-Nov-22 08:06:18

Kalu fingers crossed. 💐

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, its only 7°C, so the heating is on! Low temps affect my health, so we are trying to be careful, but sensible.

I had hoped OldDudders would pop in with news of Ash, so I hope she is ok.

I still haven't heard from my GP 😡 and am running out of the latest medications, which were to tide me over, until the biopsies come back. I am becoming quite anxious about it all, even my RA consultant couldn't access the results, despite my treatment being put on hold. So once again, I shall have to face the dragon receptionist!
I know I am not alone. A friend whose transplanted liver is failing, has been waiting for over a month for results of an urgent CT scan on her liver. Its shocking!

DS1 is coming to watch the football with Mr MD tonight and always has dinner with us, since he comes straight from work.
However, a certain little miss has been very annoyed that she hasn't previously been invited, so now both DIL and my beloved Dollie are coming. I'm beyond ecstatic!
Thank goodness for batch cooking, I will be able to rustle up something from the depths of the freezer.

Grey, I'm glad you are liking your car, enjoy! I have been thinking of changing mine for a while, but Mr MD thinks it's pointless and a waste of money, if you get my drift. 😉 Unfortunately, I have to agree. ☹

For those with appointments, I hope all goes well.
Wishing you all the best of days, whatever your plans.

Grandmabatty Wed 02-Nov-22 08:05:32

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and dry. It is chilly here and I've got the heating on. I hope Ash had a comfortable night.
Yesterday dd and dgs2 and I went to a large garden centre to look at Christmas stuff. It was very underwhelming but the service in the restaurant was excellent. Dgs2 has a very good appetite and demolished a plate of sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns. It was nice to spend time with dd as she is back to work next week and I'll be back to child care on Monday and Tuesday.
Today I'll visit mum then my friend who hasn't been well at all. She ended up in hospital overnight last week while she was away at her caravan. I'll take her some flowers to cheer her up.
Later on I'll do some Spanish and potter around. Have a good day all.

Kalu Wed 02-Nov-22 08:01:47

Good morning all, it is dry and breezy so far in Glasgow.

Just waiting for time to pass until 12.30 when DH’s Oncologist will be phoning with results of a recent CT scan re. the dormant tumour in DH’s left lung. Yet another emotional rollercoaster to ride.

I don’t have much more to say this morning except, I do hope.a positive day is ahead for all.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:59:17

Good morning from a sunny but nippy Oxfordshire, out this morning with the Nephew for a wander around a book shop, leaving Miss and MrOops to rest with the dog.
Good that you are feeling perkier Mick
Best wishes to Ash and I hope Marydoll is also perking up a bit.
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:55:59

Morning all

The 7yr old GS has had his full english and will be off to school soon (8am) smelling of Jo Malone Orange Blossom shower gel. DH has an early meeting followed by a lunchtime meeting both relating to his hobby so I will have a leisurely shower then drive over to the retail park and try to get a head start on the Christmas goodies cupboard.

Hopefully we may hear from Ashcombe or olddudders later.

Thinking of MaryDoll 💐

Have your best Wednesday folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Wyllow3 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:45:15

Morning all from S Yorks where the sun is just coming up.

After a very busy yesterday, taking it way today: have to drop off an important document off in the morning, then it's a maybe to gym and midweek Quakers. I never ceased to be amazed how much lots of you accomplish but as I've got CFS have to take it easy.

Good energy news Mick and best wishes for poorlies and family troubles.
May the day bring only pleasant surprises.

Kim19 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:45:11

Morning all! I seldom post but regularly dip in here. What an active, positive and cheery bunch you are. Quite lovely in fact..... Great to read of your daily ups and downs and activities. The colour was so pink that I popped out of bed and stuck my nose through the curtains and vertical blinds. What a joyous sunrise greeted me. I made some time to 'stop and stare'. Back in bed now. More bliss!

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:42:46

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Your days are as busy as ever GrandMattie
Hoping that Ashcombe is comfortable having had her op.
Yesterday’s lunch was superb and the company was great. Today have to go to York to pick up my repaired hearing and microphone- it will be great to get them back! Might do a bit of shopping while there. It’s a lovely city.
Hope Marydoll is feeling better
Have the best day possible folks

baubles Wed 02-Nov-22 07:41:40

Good morning all from bright South Lanarkshire.

A day of food shopping, cooking and cleaning ahead followed by group this evening. Nothing very exciting.

Wishing everyone the best day possible, thinking of all those in ill health.

kittylester Wed 02-Nov-22 07:37:16

Good morning all from, as dragonfly says, an almost sunny North Leicestershire. I can see some blue sky .

DH is off to the gym so I will have a leisurely start Then bed change and finishing my Sainsbury's order.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Urmstongran Wed 02-Nov-22 07:34:14

Just had a text from Scot Power telling me £66 from the government will be credited to our bank this week.
😊

Beechnut Wed 02-Nov-22 07:32:42

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It looks a bright enough morning with fluffy clouds. Thermostat says 16.5. No heating on yet and have just had my August to October gas bill. So when I turn on the heating it will be fairly true to how much it will cost for the winter months.

I’ve got to gather up some things to start on making Christmas cards. I will probably send them out early this year.

Have a good day all ☁️🍂

brook2704 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:29:29

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold, bright and dry
I had a good journey home yesterday, everything was on time and DH picked me up from the airport. It seems very quiet this morning without little footsteps waking me up early!
Today I’m off to the gym and then a bit of food shopping
Thinking of Ash and hoping her recovery is going well
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

BlueSapphire Wed 02-Nov-22 07:29:27

Good morning everyone from a bright dry Northampton. Just put the washing machine on as rain is not expected till late afternoon.

Had a busy morning yesterday finishing sorting out and hoovering the bedrooms and stairs.
Got ready to go out for our health walk after lunch, when the heavens opened as soon as I got outside the door. So, back indoors and of course the rest of the afternoon was bright and sunny! I spent the afternoon picking up the button band stitches on a cardigan, ending up with over 300 stitches on the needle, and managed to complete the whole band. Just need to pick up the stitches for the sleeves now, so will start those this afternoon at the well-being cafe.

Tried to reduce my direct debit to British Gas yesterday, as they are asking an enormous monthly payment, but apparently it cannot be done on-line (as used to be the case), neither can it be done via my bank account, so I actually have to speak with them. And the wait time on the phone is forever.......

A lamb casserole to put in the slow cooker this morning, then lunch and out to the cafe.
Wishing all a pleasant Wednesday.

Gingster Wed 02-Nov-22 07:28:16

Good morning all and I e been awake since 5 ish. Couldn’t lie in bed any longer so got up at 6ish!
Calm and dry outside today - hopefully Dh will go fishing.

Yesterdays journey home from Suffolk was incident free but very windy and squally coming over the bridge.

I went to Bridge club and had a very enjoyable afternoon. Lovely group of friends and lots of laughs. Our Christmas meal is booked, which will be fun.

Today DD will pop in for coffee after school drop off and we’ll catch up with her news. House hunting and cancer treatment!
Oh dear!

DS1 has been head hunted and will start a new job very soon.
Great news!

Isn’t it strange how our childrens lives are so different. Celebrations and commiserations all happening at the same time. My poor head is all over the place! 🤯.

Little DGD will come here after school and I’ll take her to Beavers. She loves all her little activities but says Beavers is the best! ☺️

Hope Ash is recovering well 🙏.
Love your bargains Grandmadinosaur. 👍.
I think we all have anxious thoughts as we get older GM . Things that we used to swan through, now seem so difficult. Keep strong! Chin up! and all that!

Enjoy your hump day! 🍂🍁🌻💐

Urmstongran Wed 02-Nov-22 07:26:03

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from sunny Málaga. We are still sleeping under a single sheet out here. Same too with my friends at LWW yesterday - we all agreed how mild it still is. The forecast is even better for this weekend. We’ve said we might go into Málaga city on the train. Such a beautiful place to wander about. No plans for today yet.

dragonfly46 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:22:31

Good morning from an almost sunny Leicestershire.

We had book group last night and as I have to choose the next book I have decided on ‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama. We don’t usually read autobiographies so it will make a change.

Busy day today with Pilates, dog walking, coffee with friends and gardening. Hope I can stay awake as I had a rubbish night!

Hope Ash continues to improve and sending hugs to all those in need of one.

monk08 Wed 02-Nov-22 07:20:39

Good morning all from the Black country, dry at the moment with a few slithers of blue sky.
Nursery pick up lunchtime then I have an hygienist appointment nothing else planned.
Our heating not working so have made arrangements for them to check it tomorrow, we do have an electric fire in the lounge so we're not unduly cold.
Hope Ash continues to improve.
Enjoy your Wednesday whatever your plans and may you all find some 🌞.

ginny Wed 02-Nov-22 07:19:54

Good morning everyone.
Busy day again for me
DD3 will be here for a hour or two with DGS after taking his brother to school.
Craft club this afternoon so must hater all the materials together.
WI. AGM this evening with a Ploughman’s supper.
Hope the day is good to all especially those with worries or illness to deal with.

Pittcity Wed 02-Nov-22 07:18:49

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A dry chilly day forecast. Our heating has bumped on as it was a cold night. DH will be complaining that he is too hot even though it's set at 18° which is jumper temperature for me. When we were on holiday he complained that it was cold when I set the air con at 21....can't win.
We missed the worst of yesterday's weather here. It was damp and miserable though.
Wednesday morning coffee meetup in the city centre this morning. I think DH is going fishing.
Love to all 🦩 x

Jaxjacky Wed 02-Nov-22 07:18:34

Good morning from a cold, clear S Hants, heating is on. Housework today and must put fuel in my car.
May Ash continue with her recovery well.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩
