I received a respirator f sorts as a parcel yesterday from the Churchill Hospital , just in case I start to get breathless again its designed for heart, COPD , asthma related situs .
Take Care,

Thank you baubles too.

ShazzaKanazza Fri 04-Nov-22 07:53:26

Lovely view Urmstongran have a great day.
Kitty sending my good wishes to your DD hope she’s home soon💐

Grandmadinosaur Fri 04-Nov-22 08:01:16

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is a dry day looks like it could be quite nice.

Shazza I was so delighted to read about your GS. I can imagine how much it means you both.

I’m feeling a bit ropey after my jabs yesterday. I think it’s the flu one that is the culprit as I feel like I’ve got a head cold. All I had on for today was a hygienist appointment at the dentist this afternoon in. I will cancel and rearrange for a later date.

I hope your travels go smoothly today GM travel by train is such a worry these days.
Love the photos Urms envious of those views.

Sorry to hear about your DD Kitty

I’m off back to sleep now. Zzz

Gingster Fri 04-Nov-22 08:01:40

Good morning all and it has stopped raining here in Essex. Horrid yesterday!

Oh GM ! You need a break. Take it easy for a few days and re charge your batteries! 🧘‍♀️. Being with your family will be a tonic ! ❤️.

GG your garlands sound a bargain! I’ll have a look on that website. 👀.

Urms how lovely to have a view of the mountains. 🌄.

Marydoll I think the shambles at your surgery is common everywhere now. A broken NHS! 😥. DH refuses to go to the docs (even if he could get through on the phone or get an appointment) . He says it’s a waste of time! What a state we’re in!

Hoping we hear from Ash or Olddudders soon.🙏.

We will meet up with our Fridays pals for lunch and have a cheery couple of hours. 🤞. We all need it.

A ‘good’ day to you all. 🍂🍁

Gala Fri 04-Nov-22 08:03:51

Good morning all. A dry & sunny start to the day here in my bit of Sefton although I can see some ominously grey clouds gathering....over to you Nannagarra!

A late start for me again this morning. We were very late back from our babysitting last night so have slept in this morning. The show was was was very good apparently - we shall find out tomorrow.
Dance exercise class followed by Pilates this morning then a slow afternoon to recover! Will have to wait until this afternoon to catch up with you all.

Hoping for a kind day for everyone.

BlueSapphire Fri 04-Nov-22 08:05:03

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, 11° outside, and the radiators were on when I got up ( have just turned them up!). The towels are in the washing machine and should dry outside today.

Had two good dance classes yesterday, tap and ballet; was very out of breath at the end. Worked out the new bus timetable to get to the venue, the change being that I now have a 5 minute walk to a different bus stop instead of the more convenient one at the entrance to our close.

The usual shopping trip today which starts with coffee and cake in M&S Food. I need to return the superfluous duvet that I ordered this week, and also pick one up from the cleaners. Then a mooch around the shops.

An early dinner, then out to live rugby tonight - it's Friday night under the lights! Usually a great atmosphere, but it will be chilly, so I need to put the layers on.

Wishing all a pleasant Friday, and that everyone's worries turn into little ones, or better still, disappear altogether!

Taichinan Fri 04-Nov-22 08:07:01

Good morning all from a bright, clear and frosty! Angus coast. Yesterday was a lovely day too. I love this time of year - but wouldn't be it be lovely to be back in the days of having the heating on! I'm sitting here in 11° and with the hood of my oodie up over my head like Christopher Robin! Never mind, I'll be warm soon as I rush round 'getting stuff done' before the other tai chi instructors arrive for our morning planning for the workshop we are holding on Monday!
Today is the 17th birthday of DGD3 - my youngest. She is a beautiful young lady, and so kind. Love her to bits.
DD has still not recovered from her Labyrinthitis, but the arrival of New Man around lunchtime will be the best medicine.
I'm sorry to hear of your upset over the trains grandmattie. As others say, the tears are a sign that you need to slow down now and take time for yourself. Let others show you their kindness.
Marydoll words fail me! How can our wonderful NHS have been allowed to descend to such levels!
And Urms, love your photos. They are not unlike the view from here (though the palm trees are somewhat missing!) except that our highest temp today is forecast to be 10°. Brrrrr!
Have a good day all x

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 04-Nov-22 08:16:42

Good morning from a sunny but cold (4degrees) Oxfordshire.
I too hope we hear news from Ash soon and hope that all is well.
Marydoll I’m cross on your behalf and GM enjoy your days away with your family, Kitty sorry to hear that your DD is in hospital again.Mick so good that the infusion is working. Good luck too for Megs

Love the pics Urms as soon as MissOops is back home we will be off for a week or 2 to get some sun (Hopefully).

For all those who have worries I send virtual hugs and 🌺💐
Have a good day everyone and let’s hope we all find some sunshine today.

NannyJan53 Fri 04-Nov-22 08:27:35

Good morning from a brighter Black Country, but with black clouds looming.

Lovely walk yesterday around Baggeridge Country Park, with free cake and cafe at the end to celebrate 1 year anniversary of the well-being walks. The rain had stopped and it was a glorious sunny day.

Today is the 24th anniversary of losing Dad. I remember that time so vividly like yesterday.

Gym, this morning, then no real plans, just go with the flow.

So sorry your DD is in Hospital kitty fingers crossed all will be ok. Hoping for good news of Ash soon. Best wishes for Megs

Nannagarra Fri 04-Nov-22 08:30:24

Good morning from Sefton. Gala’s spot on with the weather. Weirdly cosmos and roses are budding and flowering in the garden.
Ironing (oh, joy) and general housework are on my agenda plus reading this thread.
Enjoy Friday whatever you have planned.
🌸

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Nov-22 08:34:57

Sending (((hugs))) to you and your DD kitty

Naughtyneine Fri 04-Nov-22 08:36:40

Hiya Everyone...I think I might finally be able to hang out the towels I washed on Wednesday although they'll probably need another rinse now. Grrr. Am I tempting fate to strip the bed too do you think?
Mattie... Good luck today and safe travels. Amazing how your DL managed to shift herself when she needed to... There may be a lesson to be learnt there!!!.
Have a happy day everyone wherever you are ...

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Nov-22 08:43:03

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and very frosty. We have lovely blue skies too.
Marydoll it's so frustrating for you. All you want is for people to do their job properly. Grandmattie you are doing so much for others. You should slow down a little. Kitty I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is in hospital. Not for long, I hope.
Yesterday I met friends for dinner. It was a lovely catch up and lots of blethering. Unfortunately the fish and chips were not great. My fish was tasteless and the mushy peas were in a solid block. On the way home I had to perform an emergency stop as a deer bounded across the road right in front of me. Thankfully I didn't hit it and there was nothing behind me as they would definitely have gone into the back of the car.
Today I'm going nowhere. I want to get the garden tidied up. I've been saying that for days now and it's a lovely day so no more excuses. Chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all.

harrigran Fri 04-Nov-22 08:50:48

Good morning from a dry sunny NE where it is 5 degrees.
Slept well but did wake myself up screaming, still having night terrors. Just as well I am on my own as it gives the family a fright.
Quiet day yesterday. Cleaned the hob extractor, yucky job but needs must. Thank goodness for quadruple strength detergent.
Need to do more housework today because family will be here Saturday and Sunday, hopefully get to watch some recorded TV too.
Thinking of Ashcombe 💐

Greyduster Fri 04-Nov-22 08:56:31

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire. Thank you to Cornergran for her birthday wishes. It was one I was going not skim over today, being the first time in 56 years there is no card or flowers from DH, but Persta atque obdura - Be Steadfast and Endure. I’m going out this evening with DD and her menfolk and staying at theirs overnight.
Hope your DD is better soon Kitty. These dips are a nuisance for sure. Hope there is news of Ash soon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Marydoll Fri 04-Nov-22 09:04:50

Happy Birthday Grey and best wishes for your daughter Kitty.

EkwaNimitee Fri 04-Nov-22 09:05:51

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it is 1C. We have our first frost this morning, a warning that I should turn off the water supply to the outside tap.
Yesterday, the sunny morning turned into a showery afternoon but not before I'd got out in the garden and continued my soakaway project. I'm now awaiting the delivery of a raised bed kit to give the new shrub the best chance of survival.
I also had a wrestle with the Avanti website booking trains. Limited tickets and getting so expensive! I had to change times and days to get something suitable. And of course, the trains may yet be cancelled...
Today, various odd jobs beckon plus a possible stroll out after lunch and I'd like to catch up with my reading. I have two books on the go at the moment, one fact, one fiction, same historical period. Which one I pick up depends on the state of my brain!

I hope we get news of Ash and that she's getting on well.

And wishing all the unwell improving times.

Kalu Fri 04-Nov-22 09:10:45

Good morning all from Glasgow where the temperature has risen to a barmy 3deg. However, we also have blue skies and sunshine.

I’m sorry to hear DD1 is back in hospital kitty, your poor girl has been through enough and hopefully, all goes well for her and she is home soon. What a fright I got when you said it was DD3!
Such a worrying time for Megs too.
Lovely, happy news Shazza, your excitement is jumping off the page. So pleased for your GS.
Glorious views Urms, I can almost feel the heat.

DH is so much more motivated after his good news, a complete turn around to a positive mindset.
Once I have collected a prescription this morning, it will be a quick return for an at home day foutering about. We are watching a very good TV series, Stella which I thought was a new series but a friend told me it is years old. What a talented woman Ruth Jones is.

Best wishes to all for a good day and as always, hoping today is a better one for all with troubling times.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 04-Nov-22 09:12:35

Wishing you a happy birthday Greyduster 🎂🥂

Jaxjacky Fri 04-Nov-22 09:13:24

Good morning from a bright Bridport, off to West Bay later and we’ll have a good walk. Our meal out last night was delicious, finished mine with an Irish cream crème brûlée.
Thoughts with those poorly.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Heating on for a short while yesterday it was so cold and damp. Shopping today and a bit of ironing.
Happy birthday Greyduster.
Marydoll I hope you get the meds sorted out. DH had a similar problem with the pharmacy at the Drs and eventually contacted the manufacturers and asked them where he could get them locally, after a bit of running around he was able to pick them up from a well known chain.
I also hope we hear from Ash soon.
Best wishes to all.

Nannagarra Fri 04-Nov-22 09:19:37

Greyduster 🎈🎉🎈

ShazzaKanazza Fri 04-Nov-22 09:22:45

Have a very happy birthday Greyduster enjoy your family time🎉

Thankyou for good wishes regarding GS. It’s wonderful as we thought he was going to be non verbal. My lovely dream some weeks ago of a conversation with him might not be too far off.

Wyllow3 Fri 04-Nov-22 09:24:27

Morning from S Yorks where it is sunny and I have a meet up with a friend in the Botanical Gardens. Wash on - the sheets, since its sunny, I don’t have a dryer. May go to the gym too if energy permits. I have a print out of local well-being walks too NannyJan53 its a matter of getting around to it…

Greyduster have as good a one as you canid the circumstances. Just glad you’ll see your family tonight..

So glad you have found a train to go on, GM
Best wishes for your DD1 kitty

Good to have the respirator to hand, Mick.

Wanna be on holiday with the glittering blue sea!

It can be difficult indeed Gingster with surgeries one has to do so much “joining the dots” oneself.

enjoy outings, workouts, and family all. I had a nice call from DS last night for a catch-up.

Auntieflo Fri 04-Nov-22 09:24:28

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is a bright, shiny day here, so good for the soul.
GrandMattie, I hate the thought of you being reduced to tears. Shows that you have had enough trials and tribulations recently. Have a lovely visit with your family and relax a bit!
Happy birthday Greyduster 💐😘
Sorry to hear that your DD has had a bit of a blip Kittylester, let's hope she soon feels better.
Shazza, that is such good news about your little GS. Once he gets the hang of it, there'll be no stopping him.
While we were out yesterday and having a coffee, I read about the NHS changing drugs to less expensive ones, and the awful effects that it is having on the patients.
Is that what happened to you Marydoll with the biologics?
Yesterday, we changed some of the things in the kitchen around. Into different cupboards, for easier access. Now I just have to remember where everything is 🤞.
Have a good day one and all.
