I’m click happy this morning! Just opened the front door and took this photo now showing our view of the mountains at the back of us.

Morning all

grandMattie I think your tearful day might be your bodies way of telling you to slow down and take care of yourself, please do 💐💐💐💐 (((hugs)))

MaryDoll how frustrating for you, your practises seems rather shambolic at the moment.

Picking up The Imp from nursery ar lunchtime then his brother from school at 4.15pm we will keep them till DD finishes work.

My new Christmas garlands for the stairs and upstairs banister arrived yesterday, and I am very pleased. I had been looking in the Garden Centres and shops online and they were so expensive but found these on Not on the High Street online about a third of the price and pre-lit. Will post a photo when they are up.

Have your best day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Mardoll cannot believe the shambles at your drs, something you do not need. I think it must be national mine rang again yesterday with my blood results it was the same person who had rung the day before.
Shazza that's lovely news about your GS I can feel your excitement.

“Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day! ...” 🎵 🎶

Good morning everyone from a glorious start to the day here in Málaga. I’ve just taken this photo from the balcony window. The sun’s just up and you can see the rosy hue on the buildings close by. The Mediterranean is a cobalt blue giving a sharp horizon today, the palm trees are not dancing and we have a forecast of 26°C.

We will be out to enjoy it all. I fancy a long stroll into Torremolinos. It takes us just over an hour. Coffee there in one of our favourite haunts. Depending on energy levels we can walk back or get the train for the two stops.

karmalady funny how you say you count the cats eyes as you cycle. I’ve started to irritate myself by always counting any steps I climb up or down. It’s becoming a habit and I don’t know why I do it!

Another here hoping our Ash is doing well post-op. And grandMattie I’m glad you got your train ticket sorted. Being emotional to that extent is highly understandable after everything you’ve been through. Hopefully you’ll be able to relax and rest, both physically and mentally now for the next few days. You so deserve to. x

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. We have a good weather day forecast today.
It’s good you have a respirator on hand Mick in case you need it but hopefully you won’t.

grandmattie I hate to think of you in tears. Pleased you are getting picked up by your DGD. You are always thinking of other people💐💐

This morning I have a zoom yoga class. This afternoon we are picking up GS from school. It appears as he approaches 8 his words are finally coming. He’s started putting three words together now to ask for things and we are all very excited. His school say he’s getting vocal. We got a school photo the other day bless him he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. So lovely.

Best wishes to megs today going for her lung biopsy.

Hope Friday is kind to everyone the weeks fly by. Virtual hugs to those suffering stress and illness. 🌻🌻

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its currently 0°, brrrrr!

GM, since you have previously been in contact with Old Dudders, could you not check Ash is ok, or would that be too intrusive.
MrMD has instructions to contact my granspals, if anything happens to me.

DH is off golfing, he deserves a break from me!
My biggest worry today is whether to put out the washing or not, for rain is forecast.

Yesterday, after trailing over to the surgery, I was raging to find my wonderful GP had omitted to write one of the prescriptions. 😡
To add to my annoyance, my repeats, ordered four days ago, were unavailable, because the pharmacy were short of stock!
What a shambles!!!

Wishing you all the best of days, whatever your plans.

Good morning everyone, another wet Wiltshire morning here.
I’ve been awake since 3.30, no particular reason 🙄
I will get up in a moment and put the washing on, it should dry outside according to the weather forecast 🤞🏻(although it’s definitely wet out at the moment)
New cooker finally installed yesterday so after lots of reading instructions before managing to cook lunch, we enjoyed a nice meal. Unfortunately most of my pots and pans aren’t induction hob compatible so I have bought some new ones online and gave my old ones to someone local who runs a woman’s refuge.
The kitchen actually looks clean and tidy for the first time in months!
I rearranged my craft room yesterday, very pleased with how it’s looking. My orchids on the windowsill are blooming or full of buds, such a welcome sight at an often dreary time of the year.
I do hope Ash is okay, I know that major surgery knocks you for six.
Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all from a dark West Oxfordshire. I must get up soon as I have a dental appointment at 8 am! After that I must collect my prescription from the health Centre and then a click and collect from Waitrose. My new V&A course starts today on Interiors. I’ll be listening to two lectures every Friday morning. I hope Ash is doing well and that the rest of us can have a peaceful day.💐

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry and still very dark.
That was one good thing about your train shenanigans Mattie that your DL was able to do. I hope your journey goes well.

I’ve been looking at carpet cleaners as I think it might be best to buy rather than hire like I’ve done in the past. No pressure to crack on and return the cleaner.

I enjoyed my day yesterday as I made some different cards.
The weekly shop is on my to do list today and possibly looking for a lost item.

Have a good day all 🦩🍂

grandMattie Fri 04-Nov-22 06:10:55

Sadly, no news of Ash yet. I hope no news is good news…

grandMattie Fri 04-Nov-22 06:10:22

Good morning from a damp E Kent. Wasn’t it horrible yesterday?
I had just posted here when I checked my mail yesterday morning. To my horror and dismay, there was a mail from GWR saying my return train had Ben cancelled. Cue panic and far too many tears. After much coming and going, I discovered that there would be trains that day, just the one train had been cancelled. But it did bring home the precariousness of my situation. What if I couldn’t get home on Tuesday? Strike on Wednesday, DL’s friend has to leave early Tuesday - I wouldn’t have been able to go at all - more tears. In fact I have been tearful ever since.
Bless her, DGD who finishes school an hour earlier is coming to meet me at the station - the fact that I said d pay for any refreshments she got while waiting may have helped!
I’m leaving late morning.
Not a restful day again, but the fright about trains got DL managing to transfer herself from wheelchair to commode, rather than to bed, to commode etc. independence!
Hope everyone is ok today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩❤️🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset and at last, it is going to be a dry bright day

My washing will be ready to hang out at 8. I did two flannel sheet tumble dries in a modern efficient drier this week. The smart meter cost shot up that day

Definitely an hour out on my bike this morning, there are steep hills on any local route and at times I need to to be tenacious about getting myself out. I end up counting the cats eyes going up the hills in first gear and get home sweaty. The rides are lovely, thatched cottages, mill streams and countryside and enough people walking to share a smile

Long drive yesterday, lovely visit to wales. Manic busy motorways, busier than they every used to be and am always glad to get home
