There is a small village called Lucky Slap near Monikie in Angus, Scotland.

Sorry if I’m repeating and it’s already on here, but scrolling on phone I can’t see a couple of villages near me ‘Lower Slaughter’ and ‘Upper Slaughter’ both absolutely stunning, picture perfect, film set kind of places.

You mean Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch? I can say that as I'm half Welsh and was determined to learn it. Here is the correct pronunciation and the meaning too.

Not a village but an extremely cute road name near Cropredy.

My husband can say that Welsh place name correctly, a feat in itself. We have a village near us called Willey, I believe the village name sign is often stolen.

There is a road up near the gold fields in Victoria called Titwobble Lane. The mind boggles !

There is a village in France called Condom

There is a road in my town called Creasen Butt Close. Apparently Creasen Butt was a local councillor. What a name to be lumbered with!

And my husband told me that the local police station in a fenland village was in a,road called Pig Lane.

On a holiday in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, abbreviation VD, we drove through a village called La Cure VD

Cockermouth in Cumbria, Quaking Houses in County Durham, and a housing estate near me has a street named Greendyke Close.

I can't imagine telling someone your address and not wanting to laugh every time.
