Hi again.
Sarah74 Thankyou for the medication name for mums knee. I’ve made a note of it. She had the dr laughing yesterday when he said ‘so have you other health issues’ She said ‘well from the eye brows up I’m in great shape then went on to list everything from the neck down ending with ‘and I do believe I may have a corn in my little toe’ 😂 that’s my mum.

Marydoll 💐 and a big virtual hug.

I’m just reminded of when my grandma was alive Ash and we bought her for Christmas a cat soap curled up on a cushion in a basket. Well they obviously needed to use it because the next time we went there was a wrapped bar of Palmolive on the cushion in the basket on top of the tele. So funny.

Morning from a mixed sky S Yorks. You are right about the leaves here Greyduster the gardener comes in 2 weeks by which time there will be a 2" carpet to clear from the lawns but not much left on the trees.

You can't see anything else of the garden atm, I live in a wee house with a ridiculously large garden, one of the reasons I want to move next year, I'd rather a little garden to look after myself with just bits and bobs of help.

enjoyed reading your days as much as ever, what variety of lives we leave. It does make me wish I lived near my DGC, to see them weekly and do some baby sitting, but you cant have everything, some have GC abroad!

Definitely right to set a date GM and I liked your post multi nice to meet you.

My counsellor for my nearly ex abusive husband today, she is helpful. What a year! 2023 looked forward to.

Good morning all from a grey, windy Angus coast. It's really mild in spite of the wind and there's 18° forecast for Aberdeenshire later today! We should be well into perma frost by now!
Welcome to multicolourswapshop. You and your DH have certainly been going through the mill of late so I hope the tide is turning for you now.
Wonderful soap flowers Ash. I too must Google them and see what I can find. I imagine the perfume off them must be lovely - but how can you bear to use them!!
Well done grandmattie - you need to be able to call your home your own again.
Safe travels home again Urms.
Yesterday was a 'bit of a do' culminating in a visit to Kwikfit to repair two punctures - one of which required a new tyre. Oh well, that's life as they say, and it's only money 😉. So no run out in the car with my friend - I bought a cake and took a taxi to her's and we had a 'picnic' instead.
I'm off to tai chi - just my normal short class, so no danger of "workshop exhaustion" today thank goodness. Then there's some bits and bobs to get while I'm in town and then home for a quiet afternoon. I do so treasure my quiet times these days.
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning all. Dry overcast & blustery here in my bit of Sefton.

Should be up & about getting ready for my Zumba class but have had a very disturbed night. Have decided on a duvet day instead. No plans for the day but might make it down to the fish van later on this morning.

Wishing every one a good day.

Gingster Thu 10-Nov-22 08:19:07

Nice to hear you news multicoloured . It’s been a long time. Wishing you and your dh well.💕

GrannyGravy13 Thu 10-Nov-22 08:16:32

Morning all

Beautiful soap basket Ashcombe do they smell lovely? The ones I have seen have had the most beautiful smells which last a good amount of time.

MaryDoll hope you feel better as the day goes on.

My dear friend is celebrating her 60th Birthday today, she has invited a group of us for Afternoon Champagne Tea at our local tea shop. I am really looking forward to it, food, fizz and friends what could be better.

Have your best day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Gingster Thu 10-Nov-22 08:15:19

Good morning all and it’s quite bright out there.

Must call the plumber again! He came and fixed a small problem and serviced the boiler on Tuesday. We put the heating on last evening and it’s barely warm! I do hope he can come today. 🤞.

Yesterday was busy - shopping for Dd (a poorly household) , made soup for them all, thoroughly cleaned the house (it really needed it) ! 🫣, walked the dog twice (Dh was fishing), and batch cooked for the freezer. All in all a ‘satisfying’ day.

Today I have bowls club and then I’ll run DD and little Dg to the docs.

I loved Eleanor Oliphant too Urms. I look into Lessons in Chemistry. Who is the author? I’ve got two books on the go but my head is so full of family worries and concerns, I can’t seem to concentrate for long! 🤯.

Ash what a lovely gift, which will last a good while.

Nankate - you’ll need all your energy for the next 10 days with those lively lads!

Hoping you all have a good day, whatever it brings. 🍂🍁

harrigran Thu 10-Nov-22 08:12:26

Good morning from a windy NE where the moon is still out.
Slept badly despite having a busy day yesterday.
Did a big Sainsbury shop yesterday morning and had lunch then we had a walk round the estate to blow the cobwebs away. We then took the car to Morrisons and took advantage of their wine offer, they have 25% off when you buy three bottles. I just wanted som Fleurie as I have an order at Waitrose for the Good stuff.
Dinner was cassoulet with roast root vegetables, tasty but very filling.
Pleased you have given DL her final date, let's see which friend now comes forward and takes over.
Sorry to hear your DH has been so poorly multicoloured, enjoy your visit.
Good news that GS is out of hospital Ashcombe, take care of yourself as it is still early days.

monk08 Thu 10-Nov-22 08:11:20

Good morning all from a dull Black country.
grandMattie do not feel guilty you have gone above and beyond for your DL, certainly 5star hospitality.
Ash good to hear your Dgs is home and those flowers (soap) are far to nice to contemplate using.
We have the gas coming today to sort out heating again, also some deliveries are due which need signing for.
Good to see you posting Multi hope things improve with yourself and DH soon.
Enjoy your last day Urms and pack some of that sunshine to bring home with you.
Take care everyone and may you all find some 🌞.

brook2704 Thu 10-Nov-22 08:03:31

Good morning everyone from Alicante, the weather has been lovely and warm and sunny and hopefully more of the same today.
Good news that your DGS seems a bit better Ash hope he’s fully recovered soon.
Lovely to see you posting multi and hoping your DH is a bit better soon. Lovely picture, thanks
I’m just sat at the little window in the apartment watching the comings and goings, people starting their day off to work and a few children off to school. I think today we’re going to hop on the local tram up the coast a little bit to Villajoyosa and have a look around there.
Take care Marydoll and hope you have a better day
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

dragonfly46 Thu 10-Nov-22 08:00:50

Good morning from a grey Leicestershire.

So pleased your DGS is home Ash.
9 loads of washing Mattie! Are you Widow Twanky? Please don’t feel guilty about your DL (though I wonder about the term dear) she has many friends and one of them can step up.

Popping to Marks to pick up a jumper today then just dog walking.
My DS’s cat is having a scan so hoping for a good result.

Wishing every one a good day.

NannyJan53 Thu 10-Nov-22 07:58:47

Good morning from a dry but dull Black Country.

Only read the first couple of posts, as I need to finish coffee and be ready to leave the house by 9.`15am. Meeting an old school friend who I last saw when we were aged 15! She found me on FB two years ago. So now thought it was a good idea to meet up and catch up on over 50 years! It will be strange, as really we are virtual strangers now.

grandMattie at least you have give your DL a date. Now she will find who her real friends are if she hasn't been able to move to her own property.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Marydoll Thu 10-Nov-22 07:52:50

Good morning all from a pretty windy Glasgow.
Grey, we too are awash with leaves! Our back garden is absolutely covered in them, but I haven't the energy to sweep them up.

GM, that's rather a lot of washing for two people!

What a clever idea, those soaps are, Ash. I would be so reluctant to use them.

I had a wee heart episode during the night, which has left me unsettled and extremely washed out, it always seems to happen between three and four in the morning. Is that the witching hour? I didn't do much at all yesterday, so I don't know what triggered it. ☹
The only thing I can think of is that, just before bedtime, I received a message from my friend's sister, she is still gravely ill.

As much as I would love to laze about, I have to go out and get my bloods repeated. Apparently, the ones taken at the hospital, were a bit iffy! Mr MD has offered to drive me, he must be worried!
The pharmacy will also be receiving a visit. Medication ordered ten days ago, still hasn't been dispensed.😡

I wish you all a pleasant day, whatever your plans. I enjoy reading about all your doings.

Georgesgran Thu 10-Nov-22 07:49:09

Good morning from a windy Durham with rain forecast later. A lovely long walk yesterday with DGS2, as his Mummy had to pop in to work - her foot wound still has a long way to go and she needs help to get in and out of her car.
When my sister-in-law was here she lost some thing (possibly) in John Lewis in Newcastle, but ringing their number, it went to a call centre in Morocco, and I was told it was impossible to transfer me to the Store and she should visit instead. A little difficult for her, as she lives in Cheshire, so that’s a job for me!
I am, however, taking things easy today, as I’m feeling quite weary for some unknown reason. There’s plenty to do in the house!
Wishing everyone a good day. X

Sarah74 Thu 10-Nov-22 07:46:44

ShazzaKanazza - I hope your mum is able to see the GP soon - but just to say my MIL used to get a painful locked knee and used to gently rub in Flesiseq gel, which seem to ease it.

baubles Thu 10-Nov-22 07:43:54

Good morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

At our crochet group last night we powered on joining granny squares into long strips which will be used to wind around a huge cone to represent a Christmas tree. One of our number has offered the use of a barn on their farm when we are ready to assemble it. I was reminded of sheepandcattle, I loved her farming tales.

Fabulous soap flowers Ash, glad your DGS is on the mend.

Childminding day today so I’d better get a move on.

Have the best day possible everyone.

BlueBalou Thu 10-Nov-22 07:41:38

Good morning everyone from a grey Wiltshire.
Went to the dentist yesterday, I need a small filling, earliest appointment is end of February. Then got soaked walking back to the car but bumped into someone I worked with 35plu years ago so stood in the pouring rain and nattered, it was lovely to see her.
Today I must give the house a good tidy, change the bed etc. I hope I can hang the washing out too, it’s supposed to be breezy and dry…..we’ll see 😊
GM you must have the patience of Job, I know just how tiring having a long stay visitor is, let alone having to run around after them.
I hope everyone’s day goes well x

Jaxjacky Thu 10-Nov-22 07:39:00

Good morning from S Hants, high cloud and dry.
Time for your DL’s friends to up the ante now gMattie you’ve done more than your bit.
Good news on both fronts Ash. That’s gone quickly Urms, I’ll miss your sunny reports.
A trip to Halfords today, whose communication skills need a kick up the proverbial. Tulips to go into the ground, we’ve got weeds sprouting on the patio and driveway as there’s been no frost. Last year the first was on the 2nd November.
Enjoy your day all 🦩🦩

multicolourswapshop Thu 10-Nov-22 07:35:46

Good morning everyone from the east coast of Scotland. The daylight is beginning to peak through my slatted blinds however I’ve no idea what the weathers like I’m still languishing in my cosy super king bed.
My dh had a bladder stent put in yesterday he’s been having lots of infections and a very high temp which they say has been sepsis. I now have room in my bed for at least three small human beings but my grandchildren are now grown up. It used to be so much great fun when they were small except the time when one of them while still asleep managed a small puddle down my back I felt this warm puddle in the early hrs of the morning but because I’m a good granny I didn’t make a fuss. So funny to recall this story. I’ll let him know about this in a few years. My grandchildren do love real stories about their lives.these also keep my memories alive along with the photos and videos on my iPad thank goodness for modern technology.. now back to my dh.who’s been through the mill this past year, with cancer treatment which I’m positively delighted to say has all but gone medicine these days are so much better than 40 yrs ago

I’m going into hospital to visit him on Friday and in contrast to my experience in hospital he’s having dare I say a good crack with the staff he’s just as cheeky as ever. He’s like a soldier who keeps battling on through thick and thin. I do believe in miracles I’ve been praying lots more these days and thanking God for each improvement not only in my dh s case but in my stroke recovery.

I walked 800 steps yesterday only in my house but it’s wonderful this feeling of being upright again. I’ll start to venture outdoors once more once summer comes around

I sincerely thank all my gn friends who have sustained me during both our journies. Have a good day everyone thinking and praying for daily relief for those in poverty and ill health. flowers

ShazzaKanazza Thu 10-Nov-22 07:32:07

Good Morning everyone from Hull where a dry windy day is forecast.

Your soap flower gift bag is beautiful Ash. I’m amazed at the talent and imagination of some people.

I took my Mum to the minor injuries unit yesterday re her locked knee but they couldn’t do anything there. They sent her back to her Dr. Hopefully they can help her she’s in such discomfort.

This morning I’ll go to the gym and this afternoon DGS is coming after school. We’ll take him to McDonald’s for a treat. Tonight we are out with DHs cousin and his wife. We were supposed to go last week but DH was recovering from his covid jab.

Enjoy your last full day of your holiday Urms.

Wishing everyone a lovely day. 💐Thinking of those feeling ill and loaded down with stress 🌻🌻

Pittcity Thu 10-Nov-22 07:31:27

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The early mist has lifted and the sun is glinting off the windows.
A dry day forecast so I'll change the beds. Mild too.
DH is taking the car to the dealer for the computer to be updated.
Otherwise a pottering day here.
I started my C word shopping yesterday but haven't dared tell DH as he's a firm believer in keeping it in December.
I must look up soap flowers Ash as they are a great gift idea.
Love to all 🦩 x

Beechnut Thu 10-Nov-22 07:30:56

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s damp and cloudy.

I’d never have known that wasn’t flowers Ash.

I had an early morning physio appointment yesterday morning and two more exercises added to the ones I already had. They are making me feel positive. I hadn’t long been back in the house when my friend dropped by.

I enjoyed ‘Eleanor Oliphant’ Urm and was sad when I came to the end.

Today I want to craft a Christmas card for my brother and SiL and get that winging its way ✈️ to them. I hope my parcel comes as well.

Have good day all 🦩🍃🍂

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 10-Nov-22 07:27:45

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. My cleaning ladies come today so I must get up soon! Our gardener is coming after lunch. I think she’s going to plant lots of spring bulbs. I am sending an engage consult message to my GP this morning. I have had various tests and scans and would like to know what happens next since none of them indicated anything sinister. There still needs to be a reason for the strange blood tests. I too need to look at the Waitrose 25% offer! They have emailed me several times about it. I am popping round for coffee with a friend this evening. She has had a falling out with a mutual friend but I don’t want to be piggy in the middle! Have a good day everyone.

ginny Thu 10-Nov-22 07:23:22

Good morning everyone.
Today we have visitors. We met them on a holiday in Thailand just before the ‘Pandemic’ We have kept in touch and met up a few times since. One of those times when you just click.
So, coffee at ours and then out for the day and dinner at a local Chinese restaurant.
Grandmattie nothing to feel guilty about. You have gone above and beyond.
Thoughts with all who are Ill or recovering .
Wishing you all a good day.

kittylester Thu 10-Nov-22 07:19:46

Good morning all from a blustery North Leicestershire.

A drive is on the cards today but that is about all.

Well done on giving your lodger notice gm.

Love the soap flowers ash.
