No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s dry at present with a lovely sunrise coming up over the Pennines but Himself tells me rain is forecast later.

I’m off to the GP surgery in an hour for my monthly weigh in and another Orlistat prescription. I decided that going forward, each time I lose half a stone (hopefully x3) I’m going to buy myself a half bottle of my favourite champagne to celebrate and spur me on (Himself isn’t keen on it).

Later we pick the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss up from school, take them to theirs for a sandwich then it’s off to their swimming lessons which are now on Mondays to accommodate other after school activities. Apparently their primary school offer 5 week ‘taster sessions’ and L’il Miss has chosen gymnastics with her friends and the Boy Wonder is giving judo a go.

Have a good Monday all who can and hugs to those who are finding life worrying for whatever reason. x

Good morning everyone, another grey misty start to the day here, yesterday was very still but misty and dark all day. Must get some outdoor jobs done today as the forecast for tomorrow is dreadful. No more drying washing outside now. Had a weird twinging pain in leg on and off yesterday, hope that won’t come back today. Had a look at that drink Multicolourswapshop on the net, I’ve no idea why it’s so popular. The folks behind it all are making a mint apparently. What’s wrong with water and a bit of fruit I ask myself? Have a peaceful day everyone.

Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. Our hospital blood testing is walk in Mick, but I know what you mean about having a scheduled appointment. Takes the guess work out of it. It’s foggy here again. It did clear yesterday but not until the afternoon, and I have to go out in the car this morning. I had a very stiff neck and shoulder yesterday which made driving a bit difficult, and it’s lingering today. I don’t suppose it will make ironing difficult though and I have a pile to tackle later☹️! I can’t go on ignoring it forever.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a misty Black Country.

Just phoned our Doctors surgery, bang on 8am, and I am 158th in the queue!! Is it worth hanging on I ask myself?

Such a lovely day yesterday, met my friend in town for coffee after the gym.

We are off to Telford area this morning to view a couple of properties as MrJ is thinking of buying one as a Let.

Wishing you all a good day, as I hang on, I am now 131st in queue!

Good morning all from a grey, foggy East Yorkshire.

A quiet day yesterday and we ended up going for Sunday lunch at a place in our marina. Delicious. I enjoyed the Strictly results show and the very moving dance at the start by the Pro dancers. If you’re not fans it is worth watching the beginning of it on I player but have tissues handy.

A free day today so more sorting out of clothes and junk in the bedrooms. No hair appt today as my hairdresser is off. I quite enjoy Mondays with her - she always amuses me with her tales of life. I’m sure she could be a comedienne in another life.

Hoping all goes well today for ones with medical issues to attend.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Waitrose, laundry and MORE WI admin! To a friend’s house this afternoon for a Craft afternoon. Should be fun. OH’s turn to cook tonight. Have a good day everyone.

GrannySomerset Mon 14-Nov-22 07:52:45

It looks grey outside but I have an indoor day so it doesn't matter much. Have a friend coming or coffee and quite a lot of admin to do so not quite an empty.

Much enjoyed DS’s company - he is always up for a discussion/argument and I miss the conversations DH and I used to have so that was stimulating. Made me very aware of how much I need the input of other people.

I think I mentioned that we have had the local Street Fair over weekend.

We now have a new lodger!

Grammaretto Mon 14-Nov-22 07:39:47

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
A beautiful red sunrise which means bad weather ahead but wasn't the weekend perfect.

I watched DGC school concert live on my laptop last night. It's better than nothing I suppose but hardly the same.

I have the first viewers for my flat this morning so a little nervous.

multi your situation sounds difficult. I hope your day goes well and all those with appointments.

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 14-Nov-22 07:34:52

Good morning Mick and all from a cold and misty Oxfordshire, rain is due later so not much chance of any sunshine today.
Hope your appointments go well Ash and Mick I too prefer a time rather than just a ‘drop in’.
Cleaning day/moving furniture around day today, it’s long overdue.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs for those who are unwell or recovering.🌺🌸

Good morning all from a foggy North Leicestershire.

DD1 was intending to drive over today but the fog might put paid to that. Her vision is still slightly affected by her treatments so she is being very careful.

My treat to myself is fresh flowers in the house too, GG, and this week is the first time i have had to buy them for myself since I went into hospital 10 weeks ago. People are very kind and thoughtful.

dragonfly46 Mon 14-Nov-22 07:29:19

Good morning from very misty Leicestershire.

Pilates first thing then a trip to Waitrose, the farm shop and garden centre.

Wishing every one the best day possible.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 14-Nov-22 07:29:07

Good morning Mick and Everyone from a misty Hull.

Multicolouredswapshop wishing your DH well and hoping you find him a little better when you visit him💐

Mick and Ash hoping your blood tests go ok. Your flowers all sound lovely Ash and shows how much people care about you💐

Today it’s the usual zoom yoga class and later picking up Grandson from school. Son will stay for his evening meal when he comes to pick him up.

Wishing you all a lovely day. Thoughts to those struggling through stress and illness🌻🌻

Good morning from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 8°C.

Nothing much on the agenda today. DH is golfing, so an empty for me. He has ordered me to rest, thinks I'm over doing things again. He is probably correct in that assumption!

Nothing went to plan, yesterday at church. I was working about, when two parishioners came to tell me that that a large section of the parquet floor had come up in one of the aisles, due to water ingress.
Unfortunately the church was full to the gunnels, so I had to frantically find trip hazard notices, before someone had an accident.
The church was built in the 60s and is leaking like a sieve, due to the porous brick work.
I would knock it down in a heartbeat and build an eco friendly one, in its place.

Our PP is still incapacitated and we had a supply priest and the parish surveyor wasn't at Mass, so the buck stopped at me, as the designated safeguarding person. I think I attract trouble. 😉
To complicate things, the wreath hadn't arrived for our Remembrance Day ceremony, so everyone was flapping. ☹
I know the supply priest well, he is a navy chaplain and his parish is a boat, but he sometimes helps out, he is a breath of fresh air.
Much to the amusement of the clergy, he always speaks to me in Italian and calls me nonna, they know I don't like to think I'm old!
My Italian is quite rusty and the conversation became very confusing, especially as he has a Nigerian accent and my hearing isn't so good!!!

Fortunately, one of the other sacristans arrived early for the next Mass and was able to lend a hand.
He is a lovely young man and on Saturday, he handed me a box of Roses, (not as good as all your flowers Ash, 😁) as a thank you for supporting him. I felt quite overwhelmed.
He is on the autistic spectrum, so being a sacristan is a huge challenge for him and having to deal with parishioners isn't always easy for him. I admire him so much for overcoming life's difficulties.

I got back home, to find DD had been and gone!
However, she had left me a cake, flowers and had found my missing winter dresses in the loft. She is a good girl! 🥰

I will go back now and read all your posts.
Wishing you the best day you possible.

Gingster Mon 14-Nov-22 07:16:45

Good morning all and , yes, GG it’s a foggy one.

Yesterday turned out lovely and sunny, so hopefully today will be the same 🤞.

Chimes group this morning and a practice for the Christmas concert. It’s all just for fun, so not too much pressure.😉.

Cold chicken and jacket potatoes for dinner.

Hope all your days are trouble-free. 🙏

Good morning friends sorry unable to see the weather just yet here on the east coast of fife. My dh is still in hospital having been rushed in with bladder sepsis his temp continues to spike up and down he’s now on an antibiotic drip and oxygen I’m happy to be taken in to hospital to see him on a Monday Wednesday or Friday. My daughter when she can will take me in to hospital to visit, it’s open visiting these days no need to make appointments any more.
Other good news is that I’ve managed to get the 4th covid and the flu vaccine

I got a home visit due to my health, and quite honestly I didn’t feel a thing I’ve now got mild side effects but nothing to write home about. Time to order Sainsburys home delivery and add a few tins of soup and other such things to give to my churches food bank it’s unbelievable how many people are hungry. Keep safe all ye gnetters thinking of those less fortunate than me. Hugs all around,
another piece of news is that I’ve managed to get hold of a rehydration drink called Prime and sold it at a hugely inflated price unfortunately I’ve been verbally abused at selling beyond the £2 price Asdas is selling it at but after contacting fife police I’ve been told go for it get as much as you can. This drink was made by a couple of American boxers who have taken on big companies such as Coca Cola and market forces have raised their share price. Unfortunately for some customers Asdas have sold out there’s a huge craze for this drink and I’ve no idea why can anyone tell me why please pm me if you know the reason for this.have a good day everyone,

Morning Mick, morning All. Think it’s dry out there.

Yesterday seemed far busier than anticipated, kept finding ‘bits’ to be done. Enjoyed catching up with family over a meal, wonder of wonders our fussy teens ate everything.

Admin for me this morning then a wander out. Mr C will get back to his jigsaw after sorting rusty feet on a ‘just in case’ heater. Our central heating wasn’t too cooperative yesterday, may need a call to our Mr Fixit.

Hope the blood tests are easily accomplished mick and ash. Tea and cake sounds good grandmattie. Thinking of all with worries of any kind

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 14-Nov-22 07:06:59

DH has just woken up and opened the curtains, it is very misty/foggy here in the S E Essex.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 14-Nov-22 07:02:33

Morning all

Haven’t opened the curtains so I have no idea what the weather is like outside.

Off to the gym this morning and then I shall tackle the ironing (after this pile it shall be sent out to the ironing service as life grits to busy to iron in the run up to Christmas 🤣)

Enjoy your flowers Ashcombe I just love having fresh cut flowers in the house, my treat to me 💐

Your knitted nativity scene sounds beautiful grandMattie

Have your best day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s very dark and I can see that a few people are off to work already by the lights going past my window. Well, I assume that’s where they are going 🤣

I’ve admin to do this morning and tidy up the paperwork that I’ve just been shoving on the shelf instead of putting it away. No wonder I couldn’t find a letter from my pen friend when I wanted it. I might make a start on my hem sewing and then my brother will be by on his way home from work this evening.

Have a good day all 🍃🍂

Grandmabatty Mon 14-Nov-22 06:15:44

Good morning -middle-of-the-night from Polmont where it's currently 7° and too blooming dark to see much, although I think it's slightly foggy.
Ashcombe people obviously think highly of you and the flowers sound lovely. Not such good news about that junior doctor though!
Yesterday I pottered about the house and garden. It was a lovely day so I got washings hung out and then ironed later.
Today is a childcare one, hence the early rise. I'm still suffering from a heavy cold and not enjoying life as much as I would like. I'll drop dgs1 at nursery then bring dgs2 back to my house and watch him dismantle it. Gammon and chips for dinner. Have a good day all.

grandMattie Mon 14-Nov-22 06:12:37

Good morning from a dry E Kent.
All the best with your appointments, Ash and Mick. My DL is being taken to hospital this afternoon for a first meeting with her vascular surgeon. It is about three months since her amputation. I’m taking the opportunity to meet a friend who is 70 on Friday for tea and cake.
I hope the cleaner who didn’t turn up last week, will come today. The gardener also tends to pop up today.
I’m getting on well with the nativity shepherds, I’m on the third. Sheep next and it’ll be complete.
Have a quiet day, y’all. Carpe diem. 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Ashcombe Mon 14-Nov-22 05:59:18

Good morning from a mild, slightly damp Torbay.

Another beautiful set of flowers arrived yesterday, making a total of seven vases around my flat. I think we’ve reached the limit in terms of suitable containers! People are so thoughtful in sending them and the colours are gorgeous, many having autumnal tints.

Little planned for today apart from needing to attend a different branch of my surgery for a blood test. My surgeon was not impressed with the junior on his team who had prescribed Furosemide during my hospital stay, despite it being recorded in my notes that it quickly causes my sodium levels to plummet. Levels have improved since arriving home.

Good luck with your blood tests, Mick!

Have the best week you can! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
A dark start but its dry and clear this morning in brackley .
Today , I will take the opportunity and get the bus to Bicester , because I await confirmation as to more blood tests , as the person who rang me gave me a Monday /Tuesday option and just turn up .
But I do not think like that I want something in writing with the right details on so I can do it .
Take Care,
Mick
