I've had a tough year too, mental health wise. Just been for acupuncture today to treat a sensitised system in pain following a fall playing badminton a month ago.. Can't get painkillers to cover the cramps as am sensitive to drugs too. Reacting to codeine last week which put me in dark place. So yes, looking forward to a hug from my friend tomorrow!!!!

Same here - not helped by constant torrential rain! I’ve been in my house robe all day and heading for a bath now. It’s really depressing, although DD2s silly little dog is doing his best to improve things.

When my brother was 8 or 9, he bought a couple of mice and a cage and hid them in his wardrobe. Mum had expressly forbidden mice as pets so he was definitely crossing her red line here! Because mice smell, he kept opening his bedroom window. Sadly for him, mice not only smell, but they also squeak! Small brother was made to take mice and cage back to the pet shop. This story is to make you smile - and comes with a hug.

I do sympathise and have to say I feel very much the same. I wake up every day and go to bed every night in tears without my DH of over 50 yrs. I know a lot of you have been through bereavement too and I'm not the only one but a hug would be very nice for all of us. I hope you soon feel brighter.
