I need a hug

Hugs are so important to us. I live alone and don't get many hugs, but yesterday my daughter hugged me tightly and it felt great.

I am sharing that hug with you, close your eyes and imagine it.

Sadly, yes. The only hugsi get are my son and Grandson, his Mum has Aspergers and only hugs occasionally...can't remember when my husband willingly hugged me? Probably 2019 when my Mum died. I do hope you know someone who gives willing hugs...a friend maybe?

It is hard not getting a hug. I'm on my own, my marriage was awful, a horrible selfish man and we never had children. My sister is the only family I have, the last time she hugged me was at our mum's funeral 10 years ago and my friends and I seemed to got out of the way of hugs since Covid. A big hug would be lovely some days.

Another hug from me dte. I’m a good hugger - plenty of squishy fat I know how you feel, and this miserable weather doesn’t help. I prescribe a nice hot drink (of your choice), curl up under a comfy throw and watch something lighthearted on the telly. Be kind to yourself - you deserve it

We could all do with a hug from time to time, don't we? Sometimes when things go wrong, and they can seem like silly little things, we need reassurance that things will turn out all right in the end.

Treetops05 I know how you are feeling, the only hugs I have are from my children and grandchildren who live in the south, my youngest and family are in Australia. We are in the Midlands. Husband won't hug or show any kind of affection at all. It's a very lonely place to be. It's a second marriage for us both. He was so different until the time we married. Thank you to the grans who have sent hugs to those who need them. Hugs and 💐 to all.

dte - I too live alone, so no morning hugs here. The adults in my family are not ‘huggers’. The obligatory hug and kiss greeting when we meet. But the hugs and kisses I get from my little grandchildren are the best 🥰 And today, I got a lovely hug from my teenage granddaughter, when I dropped her off after her hospital appointment 😘

I understand completely downtoearth and very often feel this way too.
Some days, I am full of positivity and others I just want to weep; Monday afternoon I felt so low I had a hot shower and sobbed and sobbed and sobbed! I came out with very puffy red eyes and blamed the shampoo.
