I've had this for two whole months. It is agonising. I am told to lose weight (which doesn't happen in an instant) and a recent trip to London made it extremely painful to the point I was taking regular ibuprofen. I noticed that the only relief was when I got home and put on my FitFlops which I have had for years....but on the trip to London I happened to chat to a girl called Claire in John Lewis and she not only knew all about Plantar Fasciitis she recommended a shoe from Gabor called a rollingsoft shoe.
Now I have been through all the gel pads.....lifting the arches with plastic things? from the chiropodist, creams, and no end of purchases on varying types of shoes - Hotters/Padders/Scholl/Clarks Air/Brasher. But these Gabor shoes are absolutely fantastic.....They cushion your heels for a smooth gait.....they stablise for controlled movement and the curved soles roll you from step to step. If anyone remembers a shoe from about twenty years ago called Masai Barefoot Technology then these are similar. Although the Masai shoes were the ugliest shoe on the planet at the time I recall.....but oh, the comfort was second to none and the price was just as eye watering. These Gabor shoes are similar, except they are a nicer looking shoe and they come in half sizes. So........for someone who has tried everything due to P.F. go on.....give these a go. Or for anyone on their feet a lot. (No, I'm not on commission and I am not saying they will work for everyone, but they did for me)
