I too think it should go to Edward. Why can’t Charlotte become Princess Royal after Anne? Charles didn’t have a daughter but Charlotte is his elder granddaughter.

I agree, the title should of gone to the Edward and Sophie. They’ve quietly gone about business in an understated consciousness way. Princess Charlotte has a title, another is overload for a child of this age. Charles can hardly afford to alienate another family member…not that I’m suggesting this has happened between him and the Wessex’s but they could be forgiven for feeling this is a slight.

I think that is rather silly. She has a title as Princess, and the title was, I believe, intended for Edward, who has worked hard as a royal and yet for some reason, is only an Earl. If a title is deemed a reward then he has earned one.

Wonderful, I thinks he will be a credit to her great grandfather.

I don’t think it’s official yet, though there’s certainly been a lot of internet gossip recently.
