Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Off to the bank first thing and as this is in another town will combine with a visit to TKMaxx and M&S, neither of which we have in our own town.

Good Morning Tuesday 6th December 2022
(68 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Dark here ,may have had an overnight frost looking at the ground here in brackley .
Yesterdays visit to the JR in Oxford , had its problems as to appointment times, I ended up being seen later then time stated , but all went OK I was clear , but the tube through the mouth a bit painful as I chose to have a spray done but not eating for over 8 hours , was bad I was glad to get home and have something.
Today , Bus to Bicester but will weather watch as to the day how long I stay there.
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Michael and all GNs. No idea what the South Yorkshire weather is except it’s cold. Sorry to hear your procedure was uncomfortable Mick, but good that it’s clear. Slept a little better last night until about four. DD thinks I should try a walk outside today, so that I get some fresh air😱!! DS is driving down to Wales today for his uncle’s funeral. He’s coming back straight afterward which is worrying me, so it’s going to be an anxious day for me, but hey ho, he’s a big lad now. I have some on line shopping to do so that will keep me busy for a bit.
Have the best day you can folks.
Another good morning from Sefton; Gala has the weather spot on.
Thank goodness your procedure has been done, Mick. Having looked up mince round, I’m keen Grandmabatty.
Pilates is on my agenda…oh, and sorting out Christmas cards (procrastination is my middle name).
Whatever your plans, have the best day.

Good morning from a cold dry Co Armagh where the sun is struggling to peep over the rooftops on my left, it will then slide along the sheds in front and retire gracefully behind the hills on my right , occasionally blinding me and warming the room
My minder (eldest darling daughter) was rather put out to find a few cheques I was ignoring . Why do the powers that be send wee cheques to someone when they have my bank details , we are going to deposit them in the credit union today in the village
I need pink , but not in your face pink , wool to crochet a blanket , my lovely cleaning lady is about to become a Grandma to her daughters baby girl expected in January, so that’s an outing this afternoon
Days of nothingness then tasks galore !
Wishing us all the best day possible
Morning all from a chilly part overcast S Yorks.
Very tired after my visit to family, but I have a must do appointment this afternoon..
A new lady, am nervous about that.
The cupboard is bare but enough frozen stuff to leave it till tomorrow. Missed my gym but its a ?? for today. Also don’t want to put off posting my cards a lot longer…
My abusive Ex is supposed to sign the last bit of the divorce today. He can't stop the actual divorce (its one of the new No Blame ones), but could mess with the financials. Crossing fingers and toes.
Best for appointments, childcare, and outings and take care poorlies.
I like reading everyone’s days too. glad there has been a tiny bit of progress Marydoll.
Grandmattie I did wonder if DL would benefit from a short course of anti-anxiety meds? Would she be open to this?

*Gg*, when we moved to this village there was a bank sub office, a post office and a building society branch. Now we have a cash machine in the co-op - not quite the same thing.
Our post office is now inside the Co-Op
We have lost 5 banks, 2 Building Societies and 2 proper Post Offices I feel for the folks who haven’t got online banking they have to get a bus into one of the surrounding bigger towns.
We have a cash machine in our Sainsbury’s local along with one in the petrol station that folks are reluctant to use as it has been known to either eat your card or immediately unauthorised transactions appear on your account 🤬
Good morning all from the Black country where I can see blue sky.
Hoping to get some Christmas shopping done its clothes for the grandsons, have got the toys and books.
Will catch up with everybody's news later tablet needs charging.
Loving your handiwork yet again grandMattue any child would be delighted to receive it.
Matt was funny today Urms
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone and may you all find some 🌞.
Good morning from N. Bucks.
I had a lovely evening with two of my DDs and made this wreath.
Today we have smallest DGS for a couple of hours while his Mummy and Daddy watch his brothers school Christmas play.
This afternoon we may venture in to Milton Keynes to do some shopping.
Warm and gentle hugs to all especially those with troubles or illness.
Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where it may be going to be a bright dry day...hard to tell, even now it's barely light.
A quiet-ish day yesterday after the bad night's sleep. I was texted by the surgery to arrange a face to face appointment after I'd had an online consultation for a minor problem. Now I have an appointment for Wednesday....next week!
Today I'm shortly off to the hairdressers. My hair may be thinning a bit (thank goodness it was very thick to start with) but lengthwise it grows like the clappers. I shall probably be tempted into the M&S food hall after but shall avoid the sweater department.... I can feel last week's temptation calling to me right now!
Your poor DL, grandMattie, I understand her panic, having fairly recently moved myself though without the stress of a major operation as well. You are both going to be so immensely relieved when it's all over.
And wishing you all the best possible day.
Good morning From Sefton. Overcast but dry here.
A quiet day yesterday apart from lots of raucous laughter from our singing group as we realised most of us didn't recognise many of the new songs. Our "musical director" found himself inadvertently singing solo & he can't sing either! We did give it a go & managed to mangle most of them including one lady's favourite song. Whether it's still her favourite next week remains to be seen.
Zoom exercise class with hand weights this morning then off to meet our friends from N Wales for lunch. We meet halfway in a lovely country pub.
Hoping the week is kind to everyone. Take care.
Good morning Mick so sorry you had a bad experience yesterday, but at least it’s out of the way now. Enjoy your day.
Another sunny day here and another book out of the bookcase, whilst MrOops swims and gets some sun.
The GCs managed to get themselves home from Europe yesterday, leaving their dad there and their Grandma in hospital, no news yet as to how poorly she is or how she will get home. As it was a long weekend trip she didn’t bother with travel Insurance…….
MzOops and her OH have both got Covid, her OHs 4th time, so many children at his school with the ‘flu’ =so many teachers with Covid, obviously parents aren’t bothering to give their little darlings Covid tests.
Hoping all those Grans with health problems soon start to feel better. Have as good a day as you can peeps.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders but about to board a bus to Edinburgh.
I have the first of 4 C'mas lunches. not all on the same day
I had worked out that MrsTeapot is by the sea
Cold so she's in this country. Possibly Scotland as a Teapot has another meaning here And Sherlock Holmes is based on a Scottish doctor
Glad all went well (ish) for you yesterday Mick
I hope the dramas are soon over at gMattie's
My man in my loft will finish up today I hope
He's laying insulation.
Have as happy a day as possible.
Gg, when we moved to this village there was a bank sub office, a post office and a building society branch. Now we have a cash machine in the co-op - not quite the same thing.
Good morning all from a grey skied Algarve. At least it’s not raining. We must have had enough yesterday to fill the flippin’ reservoirs.
DH has yet another Faro hospital visit later this morning and I must tidy up before my occasional cleaner comes this afternoon.
I’ve been looking for a handbag size diary for the last few weeks, I like one that shows both British and Portuguese national holidays but to no avail, and surprisingly grumpy shopkeepers when I’ve asked. I presume the majority of people are using their phones instead?
I’m glad your hospital al test is done Mick, I’ll catch up with you all later.
Morning Mick and all
We have a heavy frost along with blue sky here in S E Essex.
I am going to change our bed, then I am off to have a manicure and chat (I have been going to the same lady for 14 years and we like to put the world to rights🤣)
Talking of money kittylester we haven’t got any banks in our village so I tried to pay some cash in at the Post Office yesterday only to be told I had exceeded my daily limit I haven’t used the bloomin account for weeks. In the end I had to pay two separate amounts into different accounts then come home and juggle around using online banking. I really miss our little bank branch 🤬
Just had a phone call from DD and The Imp is poorly she has to go into work, so we have him, best laid plans and all that.
Have a good day folks 🤶🎄
Good morning all and it looks abit brighter here in Essex
Yesterday DD got in the loft and passed down the decs. Amazing how well she is (at the mo). Two weeks ago she was so poorly! Steroids are like magic but not good for too long!
Ds1 and DIL came round too. DS put up outside lights and conservatory indoor ones. As I say, he’s like a whirlwind and of course something got broken 🙄. A small light shade on the standard lamp. I opened my mouth to say ‘ be careful of the lamp…… ! Oh well! Don’t sweat the small stuff! 😢.
Afternoon was spent at the U3A Christmas concert! Hilarious!
It was cheesy, badly acted, plinky plonk ukuleles, terrible singing, forgotten lines etc etc. BUT great great fun!
Mrs Teapot you sound as though you are living the ‘Good Life’ . Where are you? I have a wonderful image if you chopping wood, by the sea, baking home made soup and bread, and sitting by your stove! Sounds idyllic!
Peli it is lovely hearing of everyone’s ‘doings’. I often think of various grans during the day and often at night!
The best of good wishes to all. ❤️
Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, cloudy corner of Somerset
Back to routine today after an excellent trip to Wells yesterday. It’s a week of outings for us, Longleat on a coach trip tomorrow. Easy once we get to the coach, it will mean a 7am departure from home. Yikes.
Take it easy today mick, not the most comfortable experience yesterday.
Best get a wriggle on. Neighbours calling this morning, we’ve been minding their home through some insurance repairs. Over to them now. Best if we’re dressed before they arrive, they are very early birds. Our goddaughter is also phoning. Suspect little will be done this morning, a need to concentrate this afternoon.
Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I think I’ll get up soon! It is our WI Coffee morning where ladies from nearly 90 to 50 ish will gather in the local Coffee Shop. They do the best coffee cake so I look forward to that. After lunch while OH goes to a meeting of the U3A Science group, I will do a Waitrose shop - and return a dress from click and collect. It is so easy to buy things on line, but fortunately easy to return them if they don’t suit. Has anyone been watching the new Simon Schama series? Highly recommended. Have a good and peaceful day.
Good morning all, not posted on here for a while but been keeping up to date. It’s damp and cold here but I’m still in bed so not sure about frost, Seem to have lost my voice this morning (DH won’t mind!) after developing a cough yesterday and didn’t sleep at all well last night. Tomorrow is DGd day so will need to be ok for that. The twins are doing well, six weeks old now and thriving. Haven’t had any duties caring for them yet thank goodness, they’re so little but getting bigger. Have housework on the to-do list today and the dreaded c.card writing. Not sure I’ll achieve much though. Have the best day possible everyone.
Good Morning everyone from a cold Severnside.
First job is to walk to the mail box to post my cards then back to do some homework. This afternoon I’ll settle down to do some beading by the window until the light starts to fade.
Earlier this year I put on what I call my best coat only to find I couldn’t do up the buttons 😩 After losing a stone since the summer I am pleased to say I can now do them up. I then tried on a couple of dresses and am now spurred on for some more weight loss before Christmas. I’m going to try to get into the stone below by the end of the year.
Wishing you all a good day in these busy times 🎄
I'm thinking 'mince round' must be a Scottish saying
It might come to that if yours have money in urms.
Good morning from a dull S Hants, it’s about 4. Glad that’s over with for you Mick and clear.
Understandable collywobbles for DL gMattie the countdown continues 🤞
Chemist, Dentist and a bit of admin today.
Enjoy yours all 🦩🦩
Good morning all from a frosty Glasgow, where its -1° C.
Its really cold this morning.
brook, I bet your system has gone into shock.🥶
Glad your endoscopy is over Mick, sorry to hear it was painful. I think it depends largely on who does it.
GM, sorry you have added stress with DL.
Ash, after I had surgery, I was informed by my insurance company, that I would not be insured, until my surgeon had deemed me fit to drive,
It seems, as you said, it takes about six weeks for the internal wounds to heal.
I had a better night's sleep last night, in bed at 8pm, unknown for this night owl!.
Much to my surprise, I was first in the electronic queue in the doctors' yesterday.
The situation with my heart meds is still not good.
The GP said that I absolutely cannot be without them, however, there is no alternative medication, so a temp fix has been organised.
The pharmacy has managed to source a higher dose tablet, the equivalent of the ones, I take for my morning dose. A smaller dose is taken at bedtime, but the pill is so small, it can't be halved. Fortunately, a very precise, scientific solution (pun) has been found, I will dissolve the tablet in water, drink half and throw the rest away.
Isn't medical science wonderful and wasteful.
The GP, a senior partner, was shocked when I related the shambolic and stressful way, I had been treated and said it was certain not conducive to dealing with a heart patient. He was most annoyed to find, I knew nothing about a script, which had been written on Friday, wasn't informed of and that no-one had contacted me.
Naturally, he attempted to defend his staff, but I politely shot down every excuse and said it was totally unacceptable and that I had been badly let down by the surgery on numerous occasions.
He soon realised I was pretty on the ball, concerning my health.
He informed me that there had been a number of discussions about me, but sadly my health is so complicated, no-one knows how to manage it. I am not an easy patient to treat. Not surprisingly, was aware of that a long time ago, so it wasn't a big deal.
I'm so relieved, as I spent the weekend worrying about it and having to face the unsympathetic dragons on Monday. The receptionist, who answered was lovely!
My main worry is having yet another heart attack, which the medication helps to prevent. I had the last one in the middle of the pandemic and had the most horrible hospital experience. Staff didn't want me there, due to being CEV and I certainly didn't want to be there either!
Anyway, crisis averted, until the next one. 😉
DH is taking me to Lidl early. I haven't been doing much shopping recently, so a stock up is required. Then I shall have a restful afternoon.
I am staying away from church, so that I won't be ambushed!
You see, I can be sensible.
I will need to read your posts later, as DH is champing at the bit.
Have a good day and best wishes to all who are struggling. Pitt, I hope things are improving for your mum.
We have 2 ATM machines at our front door kittylester and 4 in the square. If you just send me your bank details .... 🤣😂
