YiaYia, Grandmabatty, those boys have some appetites, where do they put it all?🤣
This made me quite teary - but smile too
Here we are again
All good pals and jolly good company.
A warm welcome to you all. Please make yourselves comfortable.

YiaYia, Grandmabatty, those boys have some appetites, where do they put it all?🤣
Thank you, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!
That's good news on the stoma front, Soop, I hope the new improved version does the trick.
Nannytopsy, I hope your DH had a successful consultation this afternoon, what a worry for you both.
Thank you, SueD, I hope so too!🤞
Thank you, Cornergran, I'm feeling ok today, hands and feet are cold but I'm taking the statins and aspirin, carrying the spray about with me ' just in case...' I hope you enjoy your Cotswolds meet up tomorrow.
Your gym time sounds good, Brook, you must have lots of energy! I haven't yet restarted my Activage (aerobics) or Aquafit classes this year, now I'm a wee bit unsure about exercise although I had a good walk in the park with my sisters on Sunday.
Enjoy your quiet half hour, Grandmabatty, I take my hat off to you, looking after two wee boys is a handful!
DS2, DDIL2 and wee DGS2 came over to see how I was doing at the weekend and to discuss 'the way forward' with my childminding day. The wee boy will soon be three, he is already having wee visits to the nursery in preparation for starting three days a week. So my role will be more visiting and occasional evening babysitting with DH, looks like I won't be required for full day childcare soon. Perfect timing, cos much as I love the wee boy, I now dread the thought of being taken ill if I was alone with him, but that worry has now been discussed and dealt with, so that's a relief!
Hello Kitcheners.Lots going on,Hope your D.H is o.k Nannytopsy.* Thinking of you Annesixty.💐
It was -7 this morning with freezing fog not nice at all.
I think boys must have hollow legs Grandmabatty. On Saturday number 2 GS had three pieces of tandoori chicken, a large rice and papadoms plus a nan bread followed by ice cream.😂
Enjoy your evening all.
The stoma has been giving us a few problems again. A wonderful man on the Coloplast team has sorted out what's what, or not. He has completely upgraded the gubbins that we use and within a couple of hours, has arranged for prompt delivery within the next couple of days. Now, that's what we call first class service, with a smile.
Back with you again tomorrow. You are very special peoples, as our grandson used to say.

Grandmabatty Well, there are certainly no concerns with your wee grandson's hearty appetite. Bless his cotton socks.
Nannytopsy PLEASE update us with news regarding your husband's consultation with his GP.
Hellogirl I am truly delighted that the book is back where it belongs - with you.
Grannmarie I have only just read your message concerning your recent health concerns. Thank goodness your GP is on the ball and has arranged important tests. You are NOT rambling. You feel vulnerable. As would any one of us. Continue to share with us. You matter. We care.
That’s a disappointment about the coffee meet up cornergran hope you can rearrange it soon. Safe journey tomorrow.
A good appetite there grandmabatty if he’s anything like my DGS when he’s a bit older you’ll just never be able to fill him up! Hope DGS2 has a good nap
So pleased you asked your Dil about the treasured book hellogirl hopefully it’ll be back with you soon
I’m just back home after the Zumba class at the gym and then the Aqua aerobics. All good fun with lots of laughter and just a little bit of hard work. I also whizzed round Tesco to pick up a few bits, we’re having butter chicken curry tonight, nice and easy though as made with a jar of sauce!
DH has just gone outside to clean the car, after all the recent snow and ice it was very dirty as I think it picks up all the salt and grit used on the roads. Oh and of course theres the usual crumbs, sweetie wrappers and muddy footprints to clear up in the back 🤦♀️
Welcome back, dear annsixty. Us lot want you to share your concerns if, in doing so, you feel that you are far from alone. We care about each other. I know how much better I feel for the sharing of both glad and sad times.
Maw The quote that you shared, is lovely. Thank you.
Good afternoon kitcheners. Dgs2 is down for a nap. Dgs1 has demolished a KitKat, two chocolate fingers, a glassful of milk and half a Galia melon . He's going through a growth spurt. It's a quiet half hour. Fingers crossed. Nannytopsy I hope your dh is ok.
Hoping your DH is doing ok nannytopsy
How worrying topsy, hope your husband can see someone this afternoon and your minds will be out at rest.
How are you now granmarie? A scary time for you.
I’m relieved for you the book will be back with you soon hellogirl, it would have been a hard question to ask.
I’m a bit disappointed. Should have had coffee with a GN friend today but sadly road disruption caused her to turn back to home. I totally understand, still disappointed though.
A couple of hours drive tomorrow to meet my cousin in the depths of the Cotswolds. We try to do this at least twice a year. The Cotswolds are about half way between our two homes. There will be much news swapping and tale telling. Fingers crossed for a fog-free morning, it was decidedly murky here earlier.
Stay warm everyone. Look after yourselves.
Hello everybody and apologies for my absence. We have been to Centerparcs with the whole family for the weekend and have only been home for a couple of hours. It’s only a 20 minute drive so very convenient. Suffolk was -10 C last night! DH came over all peculiar this morning, clammy, nauseous and dizzy which caused concern, so we didn’t get to have a swim this morning and a long lunch as planned. He’s still not right, so GP this afternoon. Our practice is very good.
Sorry to hear of sadness and worries in the kitchen today. Look after yourselves.
That sounds very frightening, Grandmarie.
. I hope it turns out to be easily manageable.
Thank you, Annsixty, I hope your family situation improves soon for all concerned.
I am very touched by the kindness shown to me in our special Kitchen, TOYA. 🥰💐
Grannmarie I also know that sudden feeling of vulnerability.
It is scary and unsettling.
I hope your appointment comes through very soon and you are successfully treated.
Thank you, Grandmabatty. Good luck with your childcare day!
Thank you, YiaYia. I hope your DS continues to recover.
What a shock GrannmarieDo hope all goes well please take care.🌹
Grannmarie I'm really sorry to hear about your health. I hope you continue to have good treatment. 💐 For you
Thank you Brook.
So sorry to hear about your health scare grannmarie it must be a worry for you. It sounds like you’re getting prompt treatment though with all the relevant tests lined up so I hope things are resolved quickly, take care 💐
Good news about your son’s partner, Soop; but sad news about your friend. I spent a lot of time going through a huge box of photos which were in the dismantled wardrobe. I generally put photos in albums or in online folders. These though were a real mixture including lots of my brother and sister and their families in Australia and one or two hideous ones of me at Primary School! I have ordered a wooden box to store them in. I cooked an old fashioned beef stew with dumplings for dinner. Pudding was chocolate rice pudding, which I haven’t made in years but OH requested it. There’s a little bit left in the fridge!
Hellogirl, I'm so glad that your precious book is coming back to you, Im sure it will bring you comfort.
I bought a " Memories' book for our dear Mum's wake, it was passed around the tables after the meal, and family, friends and old neighbours wrote down little stories about her. Some we knew, some we had forgotten about, and it was comforting to have those lovely memories to add to our own to cherish. 💕
Annsixty 💕🙏
Soop, so sorry about your dear friend.
Good news about your son's partner.
Love to all in the Kitchen, I've been AWOL, but trying to keep up with all your news.
I had sudden chest pains last week whilst looking after wee DGS2, thankfully DH was with me. I saw my GP the following day, I am very thankful that our surgery is so good. I phoned at 8 am, had a telephone consultation at 10, then a face to face appointment at 12. So I've been referred to the Heart clinic at the hospital for treadmill test//heart monitoring. GP explained that these appointments there were usually within a week, but nowadays take several weeks. She is treating me for angina meantime, sublingual soray and aspirin.
Bit of a shock to the system... all of a sudden I feel quite vulnerable, with a real fear of recurrence. GP advised that if it happens again, and repeated use of the spray does not work, I should get someone to drive me to hospital, not to phone for an ambulance as they are taking so long these days.
I always feared dementia or diabetes, I did not see this coming, although I was diagnosed with HBP in 2021.
Sorry for rambling on, TOYA, NNGB. 💕🙏
That sounds very hard indeed, Annsixty.
I’m glad yesterday was good, Hellogirl and well done on raising the topic of the book. I did think of you this weekend, because I accidentally spilt coffee over a book a friend loaned to me and I had to ‘fess up. That’s a mere trifle compared to the significance of your book but it gave me pause for thought on how to frame these things.
Oh Annsixty, I really hope things get easier very soon. It sounds like you are in such a difficult position.
Keep coming to the kitchen. There’s always someone around to listen 💐
Thank you for those pics Brook, I`ve often wondered what Nairn was like, I like the look of it.
Soop, sorry to hear about your friend, but pleased that your son`s partner has had her surgery, I hope all continues to go well.
Yesterday`s meal was very good, we were at The Spirit of Endeavour in Boston, I had the steak and chicken combi, it was delicious! I plucked up the courage at the end of the night to ask my DIL about the book, she says she`ll get it back to me.
