Life is bl**dy unfair and sadly there is little we can do except offer a shoulder, or prayers along with what comfort or support we can from a distance

It is our 54th Wedding Anniversary today and I have a routine mammogram!
I have had two very stressful days. On Monday I was jumping through hoops for the Dutch taxman and yesterday the car wouldn’t start. Hoping for a more peaceful day today.

Ann, I too thought it was Hello's son's funeral tomorrow! I hope all goes well - you are never far from my mind Hello.

I thought it was tomorrow too...I prayed for everyone at 3am (especially Hellogirl..Baggs and SueD) when I couldn't sleep.. the breathlessness and the dull ache in my chest were keeping me awake.
SueD... It's not the news you wanted but hopefully it means that all bases will be covered and your son will be soon fit and well.

I started to write this before a call from the GP... I'm now currently in A and E awaiting an ECG and blood tests. Oh joy.

It is on the 22nd. I’m so sorry and hope I haven’t caused any distress.

Yesterday was manic with bells on. Ultimately, our guests didn't depart until 7:30 (after much blethering and chortling).

Dear SueD, what can I say to ease your pain? I wish that I knew the answer. I search my heart for the right words but cannot find them no matter how hard I try. Keep sharing with us lot. My love is winging it's way to you.

A lovely walk in the sunshine at our local country park probably went a long way towards encouraging Rosie to forgive me. Unfortunately the weather was not as good today!

Hello all. Once again I’m just sitting on the sofa with Milo keeping me company. He purrs and snores simultaneously. OH and I had a lovely Christmas lunch with the U3A lunch group. Back home I sorted out rooms for daughter and younger son. I thought about icing the Christmas cake but decided to do it tomorrow after our cleaning ladies have been. I wrapped up a couple more presents. There’s one more to come. It’s with the courier so hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow. A beautiful Christmas flower arrangement arrived today from my sister in law in Australia - well, ex-sister in law since she and my brother divorced years ago. She is still family though and in fact lives 10 minutes walk from my sister.
Hellogirl - I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow and pray things will go as you hope they will.

DD1 and SiL have gone into London so I’ll be putting these two to bed soon and treating myself to a bit of chocolate and finding something on Netflix - if I can fathom out the tv and which of the 3 remote controls to use .. I’ll have to ask DGS to set it up for me before he goes to bed…
