What’s the best thing you have bought recently

I haven't come across anything yet that can’t be cooked in the airfryer. You have to think of it as a powerful small oven.

I bought a new kitchen yesterday but I will have to wait until February to use it.

Cinnamon bun from the local bakery. Total extravagance but so good!

A Ninja air fryer. We haven't used the oven for two months and rarely the hob.

Same here. Hardly ever use the oven. Bake in it -all sorts.

The Ninja Fryer and the soup maker. Both can be started and left while I get on with other things and turn themselves off (in case I forget 😉). The Ninja has meant not using the oven much. We've made a lot more soup since having the soup maker, even though soup is simple enough to make, as Mr A doesn't mind having a gadget to use 😅

A flight to Vietnam for several weeks backpacking in February.

A new 15 tog duvet, used it for the first time last night and slept like a log, so did the cat. I also bought an air fryer but still trying to get to grips with it.

LRavenscroft, just about anything you'd cook in a fan oven - if you can fit it in! With a combination microwave (mini oven, grill and microwave), slow cooker and Instantpot, I only use the oven for occasional batch baking and very large family gatherings.

You can cook most things in an air fryer. Almost everything you can do in an oven.
We have chicken breasts wrapped in Parma ham plus roast potatoes cooking as we speak. Veg on the hob.

Our air fryer isn't the drawer type. It's a pot and a fryer basket. We have cooked a whole chicken in it, chicken breasts, rice, chips (homade and oven), burgers, boiled eggs, made soup, cooked potatoes and veg in the pressure cooker bit. I have made cheese scones in it.

LRavenscroft not so long ago we had a long discussion about the merits of air fryers. Some people were against it but for me, it has saved me a lot of money, I have not used my oven in over a year and it makes a good place for storing items. I need the hob or I would get rid of it.

Airfryer, after buying I cleaned my oven and havent used it since and can never see me using it again.

Very interested to read your post. I don't have an air fryer but what sort of food items do you cook in it so you don't have to use your oven? Just interested to learn more about them.

Christmas turkey. We always buy a Free Range bronze turkey and Bird Flu put this under threat, but our usual supplier, a local Farm Shop have come up trumps and Christmas, for us, is saved.
