I've got to clean out the cat litter tray and plan a lesson.

One stinks more than the other and it isn't the one full of actual poo.

I hope you've stabilised, Happysexagenarian. Does steam help? I've found it helpful in the past when I've had a crisis - just a washing up bowl or similar with boiling water somewhere near, but not so I breathe in the boiling steam.

Before bed I need to:
Tidy the sitting room and wipe surfaces
Sort out my knitting to take to knitting group tomorrow
Put clean sheets back on a spare bed (this one might have to wait till tomorrow)
Work out the positions of shelves on my new bookcases so they can be fitted tomorrow (goodness knows how I'm going to decide on that!)
Have a bath and sort out clothes for the morning
Check my grocery order for festive omissions
Watch Traitors grin

Flumped in front of the tv - just got to grab my book, teapot, teabag and cup with milk in it for the Teasmade and potter to bed to read.

With the joys of living in an autistic household. I will firstly have to chase my 9 year old to bed multiple times when he comes through wanting crisps. I may relent on one or two.occassions on condition heakes me a coffee. Then I have to wake my hubby up multiple times while we try to watch TV. Because he is so busy snoring through it. I then wait till just gone midnight to put washing on. Because it's cheaper. Then I have to set up my bed, I sleep in front room due to it illness as I cant lie flat. This entails laying out a duvet on the recliner, before plugging in the electric blanke which goes.on top then finally a weighted blanket on top of that. By the time all that's done i.may.manage two hours before struggling move waking in pain and having to get up to unlock my hip. I may get two or three rounds of two hours. If.im really lucky my dog will claim the electric blanket first and.l will throw a paddy wehn I try to turn it off through the night.

So it's nearly 10 pm on Tuesday and I haven't done any housework this week yet. As I get older it all takes longer.

I hope I can make an inroad tomorrow. Would like to have the place nice by Sunday.

Then some nice relaxing baking for Christmas day, blanching some vegetables in preparation.

Still have one Christmas visit to make to the older folks of the Parish, plus two birthdays! The Christmas one is the lady next door - I've been round twice but she wasn't in. Hope to catch her tomorrow.

But tonight - will do nothing more now.

Cocoa then bed.

Got to hang the washing out before I go to bed. It's been so mild the last 2 days, I've managed to mostly catch up on the huge laundry pile that had built up over the cold snap.

I'm finding it's been so mild, the washing will even dry outside at night at the moment.

*Gagajo, Marydoll and Jaxjacky* Thank you all for your concern. Surprisingly my breathing has stabilised a little through the day, but moving about is still a problem. I've spent all day on the sofa only getting up when I had to. I managed to get an appointment with our asthma nurse on Friday (earliest they could do). So I'll take it day by day.

Gagajo I didn't mean to hijack your post, sorry.

Good luck to everyone who has loads of things to do before they can head off to dreamland.

Glad you've had a fractional improvement! Asthma is a horrible condition. Hope you're able to get a little sleep.

Unbelieveably, the NE of England. Sure enough, the load I hung out last at 10pmish are dry.

Drying anything outside is hopeless here, they just hang there damply, so everything gets tumbled. As I'm incapacitated at the moment DH has been doing the cooking and any housework that needed doing. Yesterday he did all the washing and ironing and cleaned/dusted some shelves to put decorations and cards on. He even bathed the dog! In between he kept me supplied with cups of tea, food, encouragement and good humour. He's amazing and I love him to bits. Fortunately family are not visiting until early January so we will have a quiet Christmas on our own - I hope.

Blimey! Sounds like you have a good'un Happysexagenarian! What a great chap.

I think the wind here is the 'drying factor', in addition to the mild temperature. I don't have a tumble dryer, or dishwasher. Don't believe in them although the dryer at least would make life easier in the winter.

Thank you all. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts and some have made me smile. I’ve always got a list of jobs pre bed and post rising. The hubster just gets into bed and rises to drink tea.

Happysexagenarian your DH sounds like a darling!

I have to make (literally) and write the final two cards. We made a video greeting which we have sent to all friends we have email addresses for but 1 bounced and another we were unable to find an email address for so they are getting cards with a request to let us have their email addresses for next time. I am remaking last year's cards on new card stock and putting borders on. I'd meant to do it all year but have finally got round to it. Next year I WILL be more organised.

Wow - really? I’m in the north west England. My washing won’t dry overnight, indoors. (Dry washing- luxury)

AreWeThereYet Wed 21-Dec-22 21:11:38

Finish the Baileys.

VioletSky Wed 21-Dec-22 21:13:59

It really is awful

As I said earlier, there are too many victims who get no support from their own family let alone anyone else

I wish we could have a failsafe lie detector of some kind. No one would get away with it then

GagaJo Wed 21-Dec-22 21:16:14

Groundhog night. Got to plan another lesson before bed. Always leave it and always wish I hadn't!

Iam64 Wed 21-Dec-22 21:17:25

Violet - wrong thread - easily done

VioletSky Wed 21-Dec-22 21:19:24

Sorry guys

Jaxjacky Wed 21-Dec-22 21:33:12

Take a clean water glass up, take ham hock out of small freezer (in spare bedroom) to defrost, say goodnight to online friends group. Clean teeth, charge toothbrush, maybe a quick shower (we’re under threat of water cuts).

VioletSky Wed 21-Dec-22 21:50:25

Ove had a busy day, got most of the wrapping done and caught up with washing

Now I just need to wind down before bed

Minerva Wed 21-Dec-22 23:27:46

Stop coughing

SachaMac Wed 21-Dec-22 23:45:49

I have just finished wrapping the last of the presents, phew! I just need to tidy up all the scraps of wrapping paper, sellotape etc and am heading off up to bed. I must start on the housework tomorrow, had an awful cold last week and neglected things.
