I've got to clean out the cat litter tray and plan a lesson.

One stinks more than the other and it isn't the one full of actual poo.

Keep breathing!!
Sorry, sounds a bit dramatic I know.
I'm having a bit of an Asthma crisis today (and the previous 7 days), I can barely speak, can't walk more than 7 feet and I'm getting through inhalers at an alarming rate. So long as I sit still and don't move it's OK. It's impossible to get a doctors appt (or even a phone call) and 111 just rings and rings. DH says he's going to call an ambulance I don't improve in the next hour. But I don't want to spend Christmas in hospital.

Drive the 90 miles from my Dds home to mine. I look after my DGSs on Mondays and Tuesdays. But home this evening. They’ve worn me out this week!

Happysexagenarian 111 online is usually better than the phone.

I'm like you Gagajo - I hate going to bed leaving a mess I have to get up to in the morning. The first thing I want to do in the morning is put the kettle on, and I don't want to have to hunt for clean cups or fight my way through last night's debris. Likewise in the morning I tidy up upstairs before I come down, so when it's time for bed everything is ready.

Seabreeze Tue 20-Dec-22 14:36:48

Oh yes auntie flo. I have to do this too.! Irritating isn’t it.

Norah Tue 20-Dec-22 14:46:01

Tonight at 10: Check and turn off interior heat, garden lights and blow ups, walk dogs, teeth, wash face, moisturise, change for bed.

I never plan well. Last night garden lights were forgotten.

Now I have a plan, maybe I'll follow my plan?

I would normally have a big list, but my 11 year old grandaughter has been admitted to hospital this morning with suspected sepsis. So I'm doing absolutely nothing but listening out for my phone. Puts everything in perspecitve for me.

How are you doing now? Thinking of you! ❤️

For the past few nights I’ve searched for my spare driving glasses. It’s the sort of thing that can have me tearing the house apart throughout the night but as I have another pair I’m trying not to stress too much about it. I hate losing things.

From a fellow sufferer, Happysexagenarian, you need to get to hospital ASAP, if your inhalers aren't working by now. Overdosing on reliever inhalers is bad for your heart.
You know that's the best thing to do.

Fleurpepper Tue 20-Dec-22 15:00:49

So so sorry to hear Helenlouise, what a worry for you all. Fingers crossed that she will get the best care and treatment and recover soon.

Been a busy day here- but nothing to do until I go to bed, apart from going to Choir (a newly formed moder choir, similar to Rock Choir- no experience or reading music necessary and contemporary music).

Tues pm here. Lots left to do before bedtime. Workman here at the moment so hoping he can sort out problem then must read tax return forms sent for late DH then I'll probably have a sleepless night wondering if I can understand them or find the info needed. Have to also get myself organised for a very early start tomorrow and fingers crossed for a delayed delivery before bedtime.

I've recently discovered Breaking Bad on tv and am now binge watching the full horror of the world of drug dealing and taking. It's so well made I am hooked. Before I can get to sleep I have to blot out the images of human depravity and misery by poring over the latest issue of Woman's Weekly!

Tuesday. Pm

Sat having a glass of red, waiting for the roast to cook. Pork tonight with roasted onions, potatoes, parsnips, carrot and sprouts. Apple sauce of course🙂.

DH will wash up, so shall watch the tv this evening. Just been chatting to a neighbour, deciding on what food to take to our get together on Christmas Eve.

Might trot out and deliver the neighbour’s Christmas cards.

grandtanteJE65 Tue 20-Dec-22 16:50:54

Now we have got to Tuesday, and my to-do list for the rest of today (it is currently 17.41 CET) includes getting the hall swept and the hall table back into place. I moved it in order to bring the Christmas tree in.

Taking three battery driven storm lanterns that we discovered didn't work during yesterday evening's power cut back out into DH's workshop because he thinks he can get them to work, filling a parafin lamp, no two in case we have another power cut, re-setting the digital clock on the oven, which of course went hay-wire during the aforementioned power cut.

Checking when I am in the workshop if my bike needs to be re-charged.

Making and eating dinner.

In between all these activities I shall be preventing two young cats either climbing the Christmas tree, or pulling decorations off it.

Last thing before bed: making quite, quite sure the sitting room door is firmly shut so said pair of cats can't get in there overnight and play with the tree while no-one is up to stop them.

Cabbie21 Tue 20-Dec-22 17:11:23

Decorating the tree has fallen off the bottom of my list for the last few days, but it is now done. Time to draw breath and start a new list, as I am not doing anything else today apart from cooking, watching TV and maybe an early night as I didn't fall asleep till 2am this morning.

Lilyflower Tue 20-Dec-22 17:28:52

Make some dinner, clear up after it, have a bath and go to bed to watch the final part of 'Litvinenko' on the laptop.

I do all the real chores in the morning as part of my exercise regime.

VioletSky Tue 20-Dec-22 18:06:59

I'm officially on Christmas holiday!

I don't have words to describe how much I love my job but I am beyond exhausted.

Tonight will be nothing but relaxing

Azalea99 Tue 20-Dec-22 19:36:38

It’s very simple - PANIC !!
Number 2 son flies in tomorrow, all presents are on his (unmade) bed, house is a tip, etc. But, just had last chemo for this year, have come back with a happy warm glow caused by the really lovely people there - both nurses & patients- and ….. there’s actually another spare bed onto which I can dump the presents. Christmas will be just fine despite the muddle and I have it on very good authority that the Housework Police are now on strike too!

Happysexagenarian Tue 20-Dec-22 20:01:22

Gagajo, Marydoll and Jaxjacky Thank you all for your concern. Surprisingly my breathing has stabilised a little through the day, but moving about is still a problem. I've spent all day on the sofa only getting up when I had to. I managed to get an appointment with our asthma nurse on Friday (earliest they could do). So I'll take it day by day.

Gagajo I didn't mean to hijack your post, sorry.

Good luck to everyone who has loads of things to do before they can head off to dreamland.
