Good morning from Shropshire.

We are going to Stafford today to see B who will be discharged from hospital today🤞🏻

Glad to hear thatcornergran’s little one and glammagran’s DGS are on the mend too.

Safe travels to all on the move today.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve had some more snow, it’s cold at -2º and icy 🥶
Yesterday I enjoyed a lazy day not doing much really although I did have a lovely FaceTime call with DS in Switzerland. He’s looking well and seems happy with his life there with his partner and lots of friends. I’ll hopefully get over to see him sometime in the spring. Nothing much planned for today, I feel I should go out for a walk but the weather is putting me off!
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Grey and cold in South Yorkshire. For the first time in over four weeks I woke in an empty house and I feel a bit fragile today. DD and the boys stayed yesterday to see DS and DiL who came down for the day, and she made lunch for us all and then they went home. She has worked her socks off over Christmas bless her. I shall have a tidy up this morning and then find some gentle pursuits to fill the day. Doubt if I shall be able to get out.
Have the best day you can folks. At least the night are getting lighter!

Whitewavemark2 Tue 27-Dec-22 08:54:47

Good morning from the South Downs, where it is chillier at 7c but dry.

Please to hear that susans grandson is better.

harrigran is it a cuff injury? Only they really are painful, especially at night.

Our day yesterday was much quieter than Christmas Day, but it was none-the-less pleasant, with everyone coming here for cold meats etc and sitting chatting. We were all jaded after Christmas Day.

Today is a day for total relaxation. I’m still in bed with my early morning cuppa. Then it is walking the dog before breakfast. After which I shall chop all the vegetables for Mediterranean roasted veg pasta, ready for this evening. I shall finish my Christmas murder mystery book and start something else - not sure what I fancy at the moment. Might watch a bit of television also. Must phone an elderly Aunt to thank her for our Christmas gift - 4 Rick Stein mugs with Cornish beach names - all near our “home” village.

Have a restful day everyone after the Christmas excitement. For those with more stamina, enjoy your day whatever you do.

Good morning all from a dull but dry Black country.
Just a trip to the paper shop to stretch my legs need a bit of fresh air.
Haven't decided what to have for tea but a very full fridge so plenty to choose from.
Started one of my Christmas books I had 7 new ones so they will keep me quiet for a while.
Safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some 🌞.

Good morning.
Another lovely but busy day yesterday. Only down side was that Son in Law, who hadn’t really been to well for a few days wasn’t able to come over. He was feeling so bad last evening that they rang 111 who told him to go to A&E.
He now has Steroids and antibiotics.

Today is tidying day. We’ll do it slowly.
Also have to pick up a hamper that we won in a raffle last week.
Simple dinner this evening, ham, jacket potatoes and cheese to use up.
Hope the poorly one feel better soon and glad to hear that the two little DGSs are improving .

kittylester Tue 27-Dec-22 08:57:11

peli, it didn't happen. grin We couldn't be bothered. Maybe today. I don't think it will be a problem as I love driving.

Chris3 Tue 27-Dec-22 08:57:29

Good morning from grey skies in South Yorkshire although a very red and beautiful sunrise earlier. Yesterday was a huge success with all the grandchildren and their parents here. Was really lovely.
Today DS1 and his wife are hosting lunch for us, my brother and my mother. Hoping that goes equally well. Then all back to normal tomorrow hopefully. Glad to hear all the poorly children are improving and Susan's DGS bring discharged today.
Get well soon Marydoll
Have a good day all.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 27-Dec-22 09:02:19

kitty I meant to say that I’m so pleased to hear that you are so much better. It takes a time doesn’t it? How’s your weight?

I’ve put ALL mine back on plus😳😳, (I didn’t loose so much as you) but at last I’m feeling “normal”

Grammaretto Tue 27-Dec-22 09:20:07

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where there is snow on the rooftops but not enough to close the roads.

My DS&DBiL are driving up from the South of England today. I have hardly finished putting away the Christmas china.

The Boxing Day quiz was fun last night. To see all my DC together , if only on Zoom, is a real treat. I came last but I was by myself.

Sorry you have been so poorly Marydoll
Hope everyone has a lovely day today whatever you are doing.

kittylester Tue 27-Dec-22 09:20:57

Thank you WWM2. I am loads better, thank you, but so fed up with still not having much energy! And, I really need to buy bras that fit.

I'm so glad you are feeling normal - it's a state i aspire to!! grin

NannyJan53 Tue 27-Dec-22 09:21:04

Good morning from a dull but ice free Black Country.

Didn't do a lot yesterday, pottered about, tidying and talking to DS and Sis in Law. Then watched a recording of The Good Liar which was on TV recently. I saw it before lockdown in cinema, but MrJ hadn't it is a good film.

Today MrJ is off to his ex's to spend time with his twin DD's who are staying there. I may go to the gym this morning, then make a curry with the left over turkey, as there is an interesting recipe in the Times.

Wishing you all a lovely day

ShazzaKanazza Tue 27-Dec-22 09:28:26

Good Morning from Hull.
I love this getting back to normal feeling. We’ve had a lovely sleep in.
Yesterday our friends hosted us all at their house and it was so kind of them. Lots of chat. My DGDs delighted everyone.

Today the decorations are coming down to get ready for going away. My Christmas tree is beautiful and I wish I could leave it up. Tonight’s tea are the Christmas dinner leftovers.

It’s great to hear about poorly GC feeling much better.

Love to you all for a lovely day. Thoughts to our poorly friends and those suffering stress and worries. 🌻🎄

Urmstongran Tue 27-Dec-22 09:30:35

No Matt - he must be on his jollies.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s wet and Alexa tells me it’s 3°C at present rising to 9°C later with showers.

42 years ago today I was on the delivery suite! Must pop over to see our daughter in a couple of hours then they are all off to see a Christmas ice show. Other than that we have no plans at all today. Lovely.

I was reading the ‘Saga’ magazine yesterday (I know!) and there was a snippet mentioned about a fairly new radio station called BOOM Radio. ‘Easy listening’ from the 20th century. Dean Martin, Simply Red etc so I’m going to ask Alexa to play it for a day or two and see if I like it.

Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

Anniebach Tue 27-Dec-22 09:33:01

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

NannyJan53 Tue 27-Dec-22 09:33:54

Urms Boom radio is very good. Only downside, there are adverts!

SunshineSally Tue 27-Dec-22 09:43:48

Good morning everyone from a sort of sunny day in south Hants … though the weather may change.
I’m having an empty day today … I’m so tired I haven’t even got dressed yet 😱. Lovely but exhausting day yesterday spent at sunshine house with AC and GC plus in-laws.
Today will be a no-cook day too … plenty of cold meats leftover plus some desserts to be used up! 😋😋
I stupidly managed to fall over on my way to our Christmas lunch at our local pub and hurt both hands and knees - no alcohol had passed my lips either!! They are all still achey today - didn’t stop me from eating my lunch though 😂.
We had some sad news late yesterday- DH’s cousin had died on Xmas Day … she’d had late stage pancreatic cancer and had kept that to herself. So so sad and such a horrible disease 😥. We both feel quite shocked by the news…

Have the best day you can - thoughts to those finding life difficult 🦩🦩🦩. Hugs and 💐 for you all x

Grandmabatty Tue 27-Dec-22 09:52:38

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 0° and raining. Rather that than snow! Susan it's good to hear that wee B is getting home. SunshineSally ouch! I hope you don't ache too much. Marydoll I hope you feel better soon.
Yesterday was a lazy day for me and I did nothing of note. Today will be much the same. I got up very late for me and I have various things to watch on the tv. I'm looking forward to it as I have plans for the rest of the week. Gammon and red cabbage and salad for dinner. Have a good day all.

Kalu Tue 27-Dec-22 10:00:30

Good morning all from a now rainy Glasgow which will hopefully wash away the light covering of snow here. Thankfully temperatures are rising today so fingers crossed no more frost and treacherous icy conditions.
Hello 👋 from my neck of the woods Baubles. I will be in yours tomorrow.
We had a lovely day with DD1 and the girls, at ours for their annual Boxing Day late lunch. GD2 had another chess lesson with DH, she is becoming fierce opponent for him and DD1, GD1 and I played Operation. High tension😄

Thank you for the kind offer Marydoll. Our local council set up bottled water collection points but thankfully the we had enough bottled water stored in the garage to see us through until the water came back on early evening.
The only plan for today is to watch the last two episodes of Bad Sisters at some point. C’est la vie.

Best wishes to all for a good day, whatever it may bring.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 27-Dec-22 10:05:45

Good morning from a cloudy Oxfordshire.

So tired I slept until 9.30 if MrOops hadn’t woken me up clomping around I would probably still be asleep. Just as well he woke me up I have plenty to do.
We started going through our wardrobes yesterday afternoon, taking out as many items of Winter clothing as we could spare to send to the Ukraine, trucks leave locally every month, so we need to get organised and pack some boxes, clothing, over the counter medical supplies along with baby items are all desperately needed, MissOops is also having a rummage.
That’s my day today, sorting and packing.
Have as good a day as you can and stay warm.

Kalu Tue 27-Dec-22 10:10:28

Urms, I discovered Easy Sixties on Spotify. A terrific collection of Tamla Motown and others of that era which took me back to my teenage years. There are a few good ‘Easy’ collections of different genres to, listen to depending on your taste/mood.

Kalu Tue 27-Dec-22 10:18:13

Marydoll, I meant to add, sorry to hear your were so unwell yesterday and I hope you recover soon. x

Nannagarra Tue 27-Dec-22 10:25:37

Good morning from Sefton where it is damp underfoot.
We merely have some Christmas veg and cheese to polish off; the beef was excellent and didn’t over-face us.
Food? It’s inconsequential when we have such uplifting news from Susan56, cornergran, glammagran and Ashbourne. Brilliant!
Our click and collects are yet to appear though they were booked on Santa’s sleigh. Luckily they were for AC. In JL - honest that the items were N/A for three weeks - we will wholeheartedly trust henceforth.
Thinking of you all, of those in pain and struggling. If I start to name people I could miss one out and unwittingly cause offence. I do make a mental note though.
Hope everyone has the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers Lancashire northwest coast.
DGD arrived yesterday, so more present exchanging and another turkey meal. As I reuse wrapping paper if fit for purpose, it’s coming through the roof…
DS fixed a bathroom light, DD washed her car during a hailstorm and I pootered about. In the evening old girlfriends of my daughter came round and they went on the razz, her birthday is on the 28th and she goes home tomorrow.
My sister arrives from London today, so off we go again…

Nannagarra Tue 27-Dec-22 10:41:21

Tamla Motown?
Did you say Tamla Motown, Kalu, or did I hear it through the grapevine?
😃
