Good morning all from a dark North Leicestershire. Haven't looked outside yet but it sounds peaceful - well apart from the bin lorry that just went down the road.

I have my covid booster today. Hopefully, I will have no side effects.

My drive yesterday was uneventful but very tiring.

Have the best day possible, everyone.

Good morning all from Glasgow. Heavy rain yet again! The only time of year I wish the days to move along quickly out of the dark winter days. Our postie, who is a Munro bagger, is still in shorts! Fortunately he has rather nice legs. ☺️

I will have a look at my to do list before deciding what’s happening today. A washing is a must, a glance at housework and potting up 3 white amaryllis in a large bowl.

Hopefully a good day is ahead for all and many hugs for those who need them during difficult times.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Blowing a hoolie here. Really I hope no slates or trees come down

DSis &DBiL are driving South today. They offered to take me with them but I have various appointments and commitments and will go in a month or two.

Like yours Harrigran the postie came yesterday with a pile of mail. I don't mind as I know the days of fast post are long gone unless you pay a big premium. We all email now.
Parcels are different somehow. Remember telegrams?

We had a lovely walk yesterday and lunch out.
Tonight I have my Christmas night out with the "girls"

Hope everyone has a good day.

I am curious about your knitting Nativity scenes grand Mattie and had to check the date?

Morning Mick, morning All from a windy and very wet corner of Somerset. The puddles have joined and resemble a lake. Enough now.

Snap haeri. A heap of post was yesterdays excitement. None for 13 days. Many cards, all very welcome but sadly won’t be displayed as decorations are being dismantled. A long letter from cardiology for Mr C had taken 25 days to travel the same number of miles. We’re hoping the two anticipated appointments will be made by phone. Other than that a trouble free shopping trip and a long chat to our friend who is finding it hard to adjust to her very distressed husband being in a care home, community care is just not available.

Meter man is due this morning for a third attempt to get our sulking gas meter to turn smart. I don’t envy him, our meters aren’t under cover. Other than that a new recipe to try and some more decoration dismantling. I prefer to do a little at a time rather than suddenly having bare rooms. We’ve a twiggy tree too bluebalou, it will be the last to go.

Safe journey shazza and to all on the move. Hope Friday is gentle with us all.

It’s bucketing down and blowing hard here, a very wet corner of Wiltshire this morning, it’s just as well I don’t have to go out other than to take DDog for a walk. Wellies and long raincoat today 😊, I don’t mind so long as I have the right clothing. DDog’s got a waterproof coat, she doesn’t care what it’s like out.
Housework today m I may take the tree down, I actually like the twiggy version we have this year so maybe it’ll stay up a bit longer!
Take care everyone x

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull.
I’m up early probably excited as we are flying off to Madeira today.
Just saying about your air fryer Mick I think we may invest in one when we get home. DH was complaining about how much our energy bills are yesterday so we are going to have to make some slight changes.

Well we are packed so will head over to Manchester when we are ready we are booked into the meet and greet from 12 noon.

Have a lovely day everyone. Virtual hugs to those suffering stress and illness. 🌻🌞

Good morning from E Kent. Still dark, but we are promised strong winds today - not unusual for these parts.
I’ve nearly finished my second knitted nativity and about to launch on my third!
Quiet day yesterday sorting out washing etc., after being away. Tried to change my M&S handbag, but the ones there were ghastly! May get a refund and try somewhere else.
I’m meeting DGS and his mum for lunch in Folkestone today. I haven’t seen him since the burial of DH’s ashes in early October. Really looking forward to that!
I hope that everyone is listening to their bodies and only doing as much as they easily can….
Carpe diem, dear friends. 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning Mick and all to follow.
Been awake since 4am, it is very windy and noisy in the street because the dustbins are out.
I did nothing yesterday, stayed in bed until 2pm in an attempt to rest my shoulder.
Had a pile of post, Christmas cards with a postmark of 7th December, well done Royal mail only 22 days to deliver mail with 1st class stamp. Everyone I have spoken to say they will not be sending cards next year.
