My Murphy Richard’s iron is 52 1/2 yrs old and still doing a great job! Can anyone beat that?

No, can't beat that for an iron, but our ironing board is 61 years old.
It was a wedding present.
I was thinking about replacing our iron, but while it still works, (DH uses it more than me), I can't see a reason for getting a new one.

I can’t!
I’ve had several over the years. My latest one has a chance to last a long time as it is not used often 🤣

No- I tend to drop them and mostly they are not keen on that.

Can’t beat that but I did look at one of my baking trays this morning and thinking it was getting a bit past it when I realised it was over 50 years old.

Not my iron. I also drop them too often for their own good.
However, my kitchen slotted spoon, large spoon, etc were a wedding present in 1973. So this year is their 50th birthday. They lasted longer than the marriage.
