I suppose I was very badly brung up, re swearing. We frequently heard it in our house, from my father anyway, though never the F or the C word. And he was considered posh by many people, going by his voice, anyway.

Bloody and bugger were more or less everyday language, and we regularly used to hear loud, rolling, alliterative curses, when e.g. he was unable to find something in the cupboard under the stairs. ‘Crap and corruption! Shit and seduction!’ etc.

My mother would pretend to tut-tut, saying, ‘Really, John!’* but she’d be laughing underneath. She put it down to 6 years of WW2 in the RN - I never once heard either of his parents say anything stronger than ‘Blast!’

Do you mean yourself violet sky and what most people would consider uncouth language that you see nothing wrong in saying or writing? I can tell you in a PM what I think about your language if you want me to.What would you think if you had a child or grandchild who repeated it at school or somewhere else public?
It might look like a personal attack I consider it retaliation for nearly every stream being spoiled by a certain person's vitriolic comments that have gone on for years.

I only post on the threads where I have something to say.

I tend not to make the kinds of posts that say "ohh, you're so right xxx! I definitely agree with you!" Doesn't make for good discussion, I find.

I posted positively about Happy Valley recently, I think...
