Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of overnight rain here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday , I did get the bus to Bicester and then came straight back as a tester , but also paid the £2 single fare as well which is available now until end of March .
Today, I will go to Bicester again to do a proper shop and have a coffee as well..
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from Glasgow. A plus for milder weather but the very wet and windy I could do without today as I have a hairdressing appointment followed by a Waitrose trip. I will probably look like the wreck of the Hesperus by the time I return home. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We received another wedding invitation yesterday, the venue, Sydney. The bride is the daughter of our friends. She moved to Australia 2 yrs ago with her partner. I am intrigued why Sydney as the bride and groom are Scottish as are their families and friends who live in Scotland. Quite a distance for a long weekend! I’m afraid we won’t be attending this one.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning all. It's lovely to be back home with the big skies, hills and water to wake up to. I do so love my home. And WhatsApp is a wonderful thing, isn't it - I've already had a chat with DD and we've exchanged Wordle results. Now it's off to nibble at the unpacking and the pile of washing - I couldn't be bothered was too tired last night. Tomorrow is tai chi so I did one load of washing when I got home yesterday so that hopefully my loose trousers will be dry by then!
I shall read all your posts later, so for now will just wish you all the best day - keep cosy and dry xx

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s windy, grey and raining in this corner of Lancashire, currently 11°C.

Not much planned for today, Mr. B has been shopping so that all needs putting away. The shelves need re organising so may tackle that later.

Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it’s another dreich day here in South Lanarkshire.

We were completely wiped out yesterday after DS & family went home so did absolutely nothing once we’d got the house straightened.

Today will be spent de-Christmassing. I used to keep it all till twelfth night but this year I just want to get everything packed away.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. DH and I are off to see a friend who has bought a bungalow near to us. We have walked past it many times, she was very lucky to get it, lots of building and decorating plans so shall be interested to have a nose around.
Susan56 I hope the family are better soon.
Congratulations GrannyFarAway, sweet photo.
Best wishes to all.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Rain here but nothing much happening so far.

I had a lovely night out with my pal at the cinema and then to a vegetarian restaurant.
Bus all the way. Not only free pass but means a glass of wine is possible.

Congratulations and welcome to you GrannyFarAway
Such a good start to the year.

Have a happy day everyone.

Good morning from a very damp but mild East London . Congratulations GrannyFaraway enjoy your cuddles!
Oops I sympathise -my DD and family moved out into the wilds of Norfolk ,she hoped I would love it and move . I don’t and I won’t!! I prefer towns and cities.
I’ve just received my Ocado delivery - such lovely helpful drivers , always offer to carry it through to the kitchen for me . I asked today if they offer this to all and she told me there’s a note on my order sheet saying I had a hip replacement -9 months ago now!
Today I’m popping into a friend who has had a knee replacement a couple of months ago but has had awful sciatica since . It’s really getting her down .
I’m back to gentle gym exercises on prescription class tomorrow . I really feel it’s improved my strength and stamina which I lost significantly after surgery and illness soon afterwards.
I ventured into the garden yesterday between the rain showers and all the plants I hadn’t lost during the drought look as though they have keeled over from the ice and snow . My young “gardener” nice though he is has made areal mess of cutting back some shrubs and has pulled up three small holly trees I had planted last spring . I wasn’t able todo much after my hip replacement all summer. Don’t think he will be coming again.

A late Good Morning from a cloudy south coast. I seem to be behind with everything this morning and must walk Peggy before the forecasted wind makes itself felt. I’ve swapped bitter East of England Siberian blasts for coastal storms. Not sure which is worse!

You’ve made the right decision, Oops. Future proofing can go horribly wrong wherever you are but if you’re living in the sticks it’s ten times worse.

Hope everyone has a good and stress free day.
Roll on Spring!

Good morning everyone from a bright, sunny, chilly Algarve. Only 8°C this morning but hopefully will warm up quickly.

Good afternoon, late posting today.
Just got back from the supermarket and pegged out some washing as it’s such a good drying day with the breeze we have here.
Congratulations Grannyfaraway.

Congratulations Grannyfaraway

Thanks for the agreements everyone, thing is we already live 4 miles from the nearest shops, no buses in our village, so if We move anywhere it will be South ( home) and nearer shops, Doctors etc.
So a move even further from anywhere ( and I mean anywhere) is not on our list of things that will be done one day, especially moving hundreds of miles North and living off grid, I kid you not.

Anyway, I know she will try to persuade me but on some things I am immovable and this is one of them.
I’m putting my foot down with a firm hand.

MzOops is DD with 2 adult children MissOops is slightly younger DD unmarried no children, but houseshares with our Nephew and is his carer. She had Cancer some years ago and now has Osteo Arthritis ( recently 2 new knees) so we have her dog 3 days a week to give her a break from the long dog walks, her hands this morning were ver painful. MzOops included her and Nephew in our foray Northwards!
Anyway that’s it folks.
