Good morning all from Glasgow. I had a rubbish sleep last night, tossing and turning so a nap later may be on the cards today.

A busy day ahead with phone calls for car insurance, house insurance, a telephone consultation with DH’s GP, a visit to my chiropodist and scripts to collect.
I have had a painful heel for a couple of weeks now and the penny dropped eventually that plantar fasciitis is the problem. A few foot stretches of my heel and calf first thing in the morning helps to ease the pain….what next? Onwards and sideways again.

Hope you are feeling well rested and a bit better Marydoll also, your DSF is feeling better too Urms

Best wishes to all for a good day and a trouble free one if possible.

Good morning from a dark Co Durham. Not opened the curtains yet.
Had a disturbing event yesterday with bright jagged lights in left eye. Did 111 online and got a call back within the hour. By this time it had settled down, but the lovely triage nurse advised going to a MECS optician this morning. I’d never heard of them but apparently a lot of opticians do a minor eye condition service by appointment, linked to NHS. He also advised going to our local Urgent Care if it happened again. Which it did later in the day so off we popped. Urgent Care was not too busy and as it’s next door to A&E we could see only four ambulances waiting. I was seen by a doctor within an hour. Thankfully he could see no major problem but said I should make an optician appointment as ‘they have better equipment than Urgent Care and use retinal photography’ so I shall do that.
Touch wood, eye is ok this morning.
Haven’t read all posts yet but will do that later.
Hope all poorlies are feeling better and you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone from a fine and dry Northampton, bathed in bright moonlight at the moment. Set to be a dry sunny day here.

Managed to get the tree and all decorations stored away yesterday in their rightful places, mostly in the garage, and the rest in the top of the wardrobe in a spare bedroom. Then I decided to defrost the kitchen freezer which thankfully went smoothly, and I had everything back in before I had my dinner.

Giving yoga a miss this morning as I have an appointment at the surgery to see the travel nurse regarding vaccinations I may need for my holiday in March. Then I shall repair to the pub, happily almost next door to the surgery, for our Knit and Natter group. The pub is very accommodating and we have a table reserved every Monday morning, and we all buy coffees and sometimes cake. My friend and I have been known to stay on for lunch afterwards. Then I need a visit to the shop on the way home for milk.

Glad your church visit went well yesterday, grandMattie; it will get easier with time.

Hoping that Monday is kind to all.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently pitch black, 4° and looks dry.
Well done Grandmattie. A hurdle overcome. Ashcombe your lunch sounds lovely.
Yesterday I did very little of note. I pottered about.
This morning I'm up early for childcare. I've made pancake batter for dgs1's breakfast so it's all ready to go. I'm very tired as typically I didn't sleep well. It'll be a day of in and out of the car which dgs2 does not love. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a damp NE where it is 4 degrees.
Went out to lunch with DD and SIL yesterday, DD and I both had vegetarian wellington which was tasty but my goodness they piled the plate with vegetables and brought an extra dishful for the table. The hotel was quiet and we had heavy rain.
DD is travelling home to Brussels today, she usually works on her computer throughout the journey. We are trying to work out the logistics of me going to Brussels for a holiday and we are planning a UK self catering holiday.
DS sent a message last night to ask if I would like to join them in Scotland at Whit, jumped at the chance as the house is luxurious with a gym and cinema room and even has a grand piano so GD can practise.
Going to have a quiet day as my shoulder has been painful all night and haven't slept properly.
Have a good day all.

Good morning, it is going to be bright and sunny for part of today but still dreadfully windy

I turned my hypnos mattress yesterday, gosh it is becoming heavier and more awkward, fortunately it is a single and there is another single bed next to mine. I could not manage without that to lean the mattress on.

I forget use my hand weights. I think I will move them to a kitchen surface, they will be more handy. I need to keep my arm muscles strong. Knitting all day is soothing but not muscle building

Good morning from a slightly damp Torbay.

Yesterday we attended a delicious lunch to celebrate Epiphany with 55 other church folk at a nearby hotel, just a short walk from my home. It was a carvery but with vegetarian and fish options so we happily chose cod in butter sauce served with half a dozen beautifully cooked vegetables. A very happy atmosphere in general and excellent company at our table contributed to our enjoyment. Apparently, a full breakfast is available to non-residents for £5.00 so watch this space …..!

I hope today is the start of a good week for all with improving health for those who are unwell. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from E Kent. The moon is now waning but is still very bright.it looks clearish although I haven’t looked properly.
Well, I did it! I went to the 1030 service yesterday. With my heart in my mouth and sweaty palms, I arrived just before the service started and left just after the final blessing. Our lovely retired bishop who was taking the service grinned at me during the opening procession, giving me some courage. I did do a lot of crying, but I’m glad I went. Next week will be better.
Today, I’m changing my bed and doing some cleaning, and other mundane tasks.
I’m knitting a scarlet jumper and have finished the front, am on the back now.
I hope that your DSF’s appointment goes well, Urms, and you feel better MD. Happy birthday and/or anniversary to those celebrating. Hope that the poorly are in a better place.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
